      • Thanks

      • If you have 2 adults is it 50% off the total OR only 50% off 1 adult? E.g. Breakfast is $50 each. Will that be $50 for both, essentially 2 for 1?

    • When visiting with two kids order one kids meal only ($15 usually basic pasta/fish&chips plus a ball of ice cream) and one main (50% off from $20-$40). Then share.

      • True ozbargainer.
        It's what I would do.

      • Sorry can you explain to me why? Could you dine with 2a2c and get the kids 2 adult meals which is roughly the same price as a kids meal but better value? Would you still get 50% off all the 4 adult meals purchased?

        • From personal experience restaurants always try counting kids as extra guests, which brings the total discount down to 25%. You can argue that kids shouldn't be included and most restaurants will accept it. However, some restaurant then tell you that kids must order from the kids menu that is subject to zero discount. In such case we order only one kids meal and three mains.

It is kinda frustrating to have these negotiations with restaurant happening every time, but it always pays off at the end.

  • Could someone check if there's any hotels with a stay plus free night in Singapore for the 12-13th of March? Have a night layover and this might be useful. Thanks

    • Nothing for that night

  • For Discovery membership, you will get $500 to spend. Can you use it to pay for Celebrity overseas cruise? Where can I find more information on cruise offers under Discovery membership? Many thanks

  • Hey does everyone’s status reset or renew in December ?

    • For accor plus member, accor status is renewed every membership year (date of joining accor plus)
but status nights is calculated per calendar year (reset on 1st Jan)

      • Does that mean that you potentially can get two nights for one year membership?

        • +1

no, the stay plus free night is renewed once per membership year
so you dont get another stay plus night until you renew your membership

  • So the next question how do you turn off auto renew? 🤣

    • Accor Plus does not normally auto renew

      • Thank you 🙏

  • how quickly do you get access? do you get access instantly after purchase? I have Amex plat and its been a week "pending"

    • You get sent email (immediately upon signup for me) to activate account and login after payment, you get access to membership number/card and stay plus (Free nights) are linked to account to use immediately

  • +7

I got the Discovery membership so you don't have to.
It comes with a 30% Samsonsite voucher and there's something I was eyeing off there, so assuming that works ok I'll get most of my $50 extra back. There's also one for American Tourister and High Sierra.

If you don't have a cruise (or tour) planned I wouldn't bother. But if you do, at a glance the prices look similar to other places, but with the ability to apply that $500 "discovery dollars", OR the buy one get one half off voucher (can't apply both).

AFAIK you can't apply your 'discovery dollars' to any of the activities, car hire, flights etc you can book through the portal. Only cruises, tours (i.e. Contiki etc) and packages. Some of the specials seem quite reasonable prices, so ymmv

    • Can you book Celebrity cruise ? Thks

      • You can, but it looks like not all Celebrity cruises can have the $500 'discovery dollars' applied.

        • Thks, I am looking at 11 days Best of Italy and Croatia May 2025. Would you mind to help me to have a look as I haven’t sign up yet and couldn’t find this information online.much appreciated

    • I was reading up on the discovery membership. Apparently you can use it to purchase international wines? Any chance if you can check if you can use your discovery dollars for that?

      • Yeah I can see the help page from 2 years ago that mentions that. But it's not there now. The only extras are luggage, endota spa and edible blooms

    • Are these one off uses?
Do you have to buy direct from the samsonite/AT site?

      • +1

Yep direct only. But I just tried a non sale item that didn't seem to be listed in exclusions and the code didn't work. So not too impressed with that.

        • +2

Lmao. Typical. Thanks for being the Guinea pig!

    • I paid for the Discovery Membership but can't figure out how to access the portal to check what I can use the discovery dollars on? Was there any extra process to activate the Discovery portion of the membership or email/link to the portal??

    • Hi i got discovery also, but it doesn't seem to come up anywhere for me in the accorplus website to actually access it. How do you access the discovery offers? the helpdesk FAQ says to click on "offers" but after i do that, I cant see discovery anywhere..

      • It can take a few hours to show… And
You have to be logged in to your Accor Plus account at https://www.accorplus.com/au/
Then at the top menu, click on 'Offers' then Discovery Offers.
No idea why it's that obscure!

        • thanks it show'd up today!

  • +1

Love Accor Plus. Definitely great if you actually use the benefits. Just bought another 4 for family. Makes a great gift. Thanks OP 😊

  • Any reason you wouldn't pick Business Explorer over Explorer?

Same price and perks, but you get 10k Qantas points. Just need an ABN.

    • would you have a link?

It's on this page, just scroll down a bit. Business Explorer seems like a strictly better version of Explorer, if you have an ABN.

        Unclear if there's a catch I'm missing

    • +3

I thought Business Explorer is still $399?
      While Personal Exploer is $199

      • Exactly.

    • Where are you seeing Business Explorer for $199?

  • How do you book free night sorry?

    • +2

once you become accor plus member, login to accor.com (or use the ALL app)
then after you search for hotel / destination with the people per room (eg. 1 room 2 adults)
then you have an option to use "Stay Plus" in the search filter

  • The Ibis hotel room I am going to book using the 10% off best available rate (in Seoul) stated "no prepayment required" with free cancellation till the day before the check-in date, so when will my credit card actually being charged? Do I need to pay at the hotel when checking in? Will the rate be the same as when I booked now in A$? Thanks.

    • +1

same rate will be charge even you are paying at the hotel
(the amount should be shown in your booking confirmation email)

just beware that the email should list in local currency instead of AUD
and you are paying local currency as well in hotel

  • Hey all,

I remember last year when i signed up using the HK offer they allowed me to purchase a second card for $79 i think which entitles say your partner to take someone and have the 50% wine and dine offers just not an extra night stay, i just signed up but noticed i wasnt given that option? anyone here knows how to or get removed it.

  • +1

ah yes i contacted them the additional card is full price $159, might aswell buy the full $199 for your partner and get another free night stay.

  • i received the welcome email after paying the fee. but there is no way to setup a login account.

    • same, im a bit stuck here.
edit: get the Welcome email and click on the active link. It should redirect you to a sign up page that already prefills your email.

  • Hi, is anyone able to check availability at Auckland Airport (Novotel or Ibis Budget) for Feb 23rd? Thanks!

    • +1

Novotel Auckland airport has availability 23 rd Feb. Stay free. Pullman airport free as well.

  • +1

Wouldn't the one with $380 for 2 nights be more value? What are the differences between those two?

    • Yes, was going to ask what is so different from Malaysia with 2 free nights for extra $180

    • Not if you already have an account with Rewards Points that can be used to offset total amount.

      • Sorry vovka can you please elaborate? What can you do with the rewards points and are you able to transfer them?

        • If you already have active membership from Accor Australia which has accumulated reward points, then you might be better off keeping it rather than opening another account in Malaysia. Depends on how much points you currently have.
For new accounts $380 is better.

    • @wildstone How do you signup for $380 for 2 nights deal please?

  • Can I request an existing member to check if The Reef House in Palm Cove is included in the Stay Plus offer? And if any properties in Nadi or Denarau Fiji are available for any of 10, 11 or 12 May? Thanks

    • Novatel suva lami bay in fiji 10th to the 13th starts from 399 only comes up that uses stay plus

And with the reef house it's not covered under stay plus its $1365 from 10th to the 12th

  • Does this cover the Novotel hotel in Da Nang Vietnam? Planning a trip to Vietnam at the end of this year. Can anyone check. Thanks in advance

    • +1

I selected 6th to 13th starts from 448 superior king room.with balcony what room you want me to check !

      • Thanks that's ok. So with the Accor plus membership I will get 1 free night + 10% discount of total stay. Will be looking at close to 30 nights stay at the hotel. With the price of $448 per night, does it get cheaper if I stay long eg. 30 nights? Cause at $448 per night I definitely can't afford to stay there that long

        • Best option to enquire with the hotel directly.

        • +1

Thats not per night lol thats for 7 days ! 6th of December till the 13th ! So 64ish a night !

  • Thanks OP.
Was nervous but signed up for the first time. Going to Singapore for 2 nights in September.
Definitely some gems - ie Fairmount Singapore or Sofitel Singapore City Center which are $750/night elsewhere for our dates included in the free night.

Also - how do you cancel auto renewal?

    • There's no auto renewal option LOL

  • +1

Can an existing member tell me if accor plus gets 10% discount on ibis hotels in warsaw, poland?

    • Yes it applies

      • Even though its not in the Asia Pac region?

        • Ie June 25-26
          Ibis styles Warszawa City
          $154, says a saving of $17 off $171

  • Anyone had luck disassociating their account from Hong Kong so they can renew elsewhere?

    • Just use another email.

  • For anyone who bought the discovery membership- is norwegian cruise lines inlcuded?? have an upcoming cruise…

    • +1

It is, but if you mean 'upcoming cruise' as one you've already booked, I'm not sure you'd be able to apply it.
Let me know if you'd like to check if the specific cruise you're looking at can have the Discovery Dollars applied.

        • +1

Yep can confirm you can apply the $500 discovery dollars (and between $750 and $2500 total) to the 19th Aug 2024 NCL Pearl cruise from Venice. Great itinerary too!
It looks like the pricing is same as NCL website. But it's hard to tell what inclusions there are etc. You have to call to book so I can't do a dummy booking.

          • @tdth99: does it have to be a new booking?? or can i make a part payment- im so grateful for this!

            • +1

@mumof2sydney: dont worry i rang them- unfortunately must be a new bookig made through them- got so many discounts and additions booking dircetly no way they will be able to match- amex had a great deal too…i appreciate your time!!

          • @tdth99: Interesting, the cruise looks like good value at the discounted price.

            It includes drinks package too.

            • @[Deactivated]: yes- europe hotels are crazy at that peak season so working out to be great value- check your amex card for offers with cruise lines- end in a week..

  • Thanks OP, got the cashreward to track.

    • How do you get to this offer via Cashrewards?

      • Copy the link. Click the cashrewards link. Then paste it.

      • I installed the chrome extension, then copied the link offer, then clicked through from cash rewards through to Accor plus, then pasted the link in and it tracked.

  • +3

Fair value at $199. Just. We just finished 12 month membership. We couldn't use the free night where we wanted to. Where we did use it interpretted the dining discount fairly miserly, kids meals not included. Other places will give a blanket 50% off the bill, kids meals included. The access to sale prices exclusively was handy and used it to book where we wanted at a great rate. Won't be getting it again, but if you like taking trips and you like good value, you may save a few dollars on this one. Its all about where you want to travel in an ideal world, and if it supports Stays Plus.

    • +1

Yep this is a good assessment. I got lucky in that the hotel I wanted to stay at (Movenpick Melbourne), was part of a current red hot rooms, and available when I wanted, so I instantly got the $200 saved even before the free night.
FYI for others you can check the red hot rooms without a login here: https://www.accorplus.com/au/offers/?filter-offer_category=r…

  • Thanks! Grabbed one for me and got my brother to get one too.

    • Is there any steps to verify you are a friend or family of an Accor employee which is in the terms and conditions?

  • Awesome, thanks OP

  • Guys, how does the referall system work please?

Is there even one? Cos the ozbargain link doesn't work, takes me to a 404 page not found.

    • +1

AU referral program is not currently running.

      • Ah, thanks mate.

  • I'm new to Accor Plus, does "Stay Plus night" work only/strictly in APAC? For example, would there be any benefit in Vancouver, Canada on 20 June?
Can anyone with existing membership please check?

    • +1

      Strictly only in APAC

  • Can someone with a membership please tell me how much a 1 Bedroom Unit at Peppers Noosa (QLD) would cost say mid week 5-8 March?
