        In certain cases a restaurant can have extra benefit if you do stay at the hotel. For example, from Tesoro Restaurant in Hobart: "Children 12 years and under enjoy a free Continental Buffet when staying at the hotel otherwise $15 per child."

    I joined yesterday, no confirmation email, cc not charged, unable to check my account for some reason. Unable to reset password as no email received to reset. Is it a normal process that they didn't charge cc until later ?

    Hi @littlesoldier, thanks for the deal posted.

    I got the same deal via Amex Plat. Accor got secondary membership under the primary account for $189, but doesn’t include Stay Plus night. So, it would be best for someone to get this deal for extra $10 rather getting Secondary Membership. I was asking the question from Accor to work out the dining discount. If kids order through kids menus, discount doesn’t matter. Only applicable to adults menus/orders when dining.

        Not necessarily. Plus sometimes hotel restaurants are your only option to get decent food when everything else is closed (in SA, for instance).

    I had accor platinum a few years back & stayed in sydney at the manly pacific. Got the worst room & when i mentioned accor they said it didnt really mean i got anything extra . So wasnt worth it to me.

      sorry to hear your experience but mine is way better
      not really sure why you need to mention "accor" as your membership status is linked when you book the room (you must book via accor website / accor app to enjoy membership benefits)

      in terms of getting "anything extra"
      I guess as a minimal every benefits that the member tier comes with I enjoyed it (as a platinum member)
      such as welcome drink, complimentary breakfast, free room upgrade, early check in, late check out, lounge access etc

      I do find some hotels provide "something" extra free of charge, which is pretty nice to have (but not guarantee)
      such as waving the parking fee, waving extra bed charges, free daily barista coffee

      In summary, I am pretty much enjoying accor plus membership
      There's one accor hotel near my home where I dine once a month to enjoy the 50% off dining discount
      the free 20 status nights brings it way easier to reach gold and platinum
      which include free room upgrade (I got a few occasions where got upgraded to suite)

      there's no auto renewal
      around 1 month before the renewal day, you get an email to remind you to renew
      you need to manually renew via the website / do a live chat for payment

      If you do nothing, your membership just expires

    Was able to book the Fairmont Singapore during Oct school holidays with the 2 stay plus nights from me and the wife.

    Was worth the $400 investment given the cost per night was almost $600

      you show the card directly to the restaurant, not the hotel reception
      you can first confirm with the restaurant whether they have accor plus discount (before dinning)

        I’m gonna stay 1 night in ibis saigon airport and when I checked the breakfast rate from the app it shows full price. I’ve stayed here before and unfortunately you have to request and pay for breakfast at check in time I think

          To enjoy the dining discount don’t add the breakfast to room charge as this will be likely to charge in full (if you haven’t book yet, don’t add breakfast option during room booking)

          Just go to the restaurant as a walk-in guest and pay your bill up front, show your Accor plus card before paying and you enjoy up to 50% off the bill.

      I recently used it at Sofitel Darling harbour and when they asked if I want to charge to the room or pay, when I went to sign there was a box that said accor plus and i ticked it and she asked to see my card and took down the card number.

      for me it takes around 1 week
      but you should immediately able to create an account and use the ALL app
      All Accor hotels / restaurants accept digital card from the app

    Re the weekend brekkie buffet;
    Do you know if they charge kids prices for a one year old? Because I think that's a big waste, as that'll take our headcount to three, thereby reducing the dining discount from 50% to 33%.

    I'm hoping they don't count a baby as a plus one and I get the 50% instead of the 33%.

    My memberships ends 30/4/24 and I received an email saying my subsription will automatically renew 12/04/24. If I haven't got a card saved on file will the automatic renew fail? If I was to cancel now do I lose all benefits immediately?

    got this deal last year .. didnt take up this year's deal.
    Now it says my current membership will be auto renew on 15 Apr 2024 for $379, but when I logged in and looked at membership, it says Expiration = 30 Apr 2024.
    When I tried to cancel the membership via "Manage Plan", it says:

    Your plan will be canceled, but is still available until the end of your billing period on 15 April 2024.

    This makes me rather confused.. if I cancel, my membership ends on 15 or 30 Apr? Does anyone know?
    The reason is that I have a restaurant booking on 27 Apr which I would like to take advantage of the 50% discount.
