    Funnily enough was looking at WordPress hosting recently as have an idea that I'd like to launch later in the year.

    Still trying to get my head around everything, but the 50% off discount if i move up or down is appealing (especially if the deal comes through rarely).

    Noob question.. assuming this has some sort of integration with WordPress? I don't want to build a site via html, and need some sort of easy integration for payments!

    I note you have "managed WordPress" option, but until there's some sort of scale that doesn't seem feasible

      Hi Aftos. We're usually pretty flexibile so feel free to open a ticket or PM here directly and say you're from OzBargain and we can sometimes give a 50% discount.

      We have a WordPress installer built into the cPanel of all of the plans. So it's integrated in that regard, yes. It does make it easy to setup WordPress and then you can login via the wp-admin link (Shown to you upon installation) with the details you specified. Then you can install plugins, themes, etc as you desire.

      We don't however help with building sites, unless you're looking for actual web design services (at an extra cost). The managed WordPress is probably better suited once you're already started and just need a hand with regular updates, support, security, and so forth.

    Hi @Obble, I'm looking to set up my first website. Very simple with contact info and "about me" for a family business. Is Wordpress the best way to go to help me build this simple site with Obble hosting? I have a domain registered already. Just need cheap, cheeful and easy to use.

      Hi,

      You can go WordPress, it's more than appropriate and pretty user-friendly, easy to get started.

      If you had a bit more technical knowledge you could just use a basic HTML site and template, which would be faster (less bloat than WordPress). But can be a little bit trickier to set up contact forms. Depends how complex you're looking.

      WordPress is suggested for beginners as there's plugins/themes/builders that can make your life easier. And our hosting can facilitate both options here easily. Thanks!

            @Obble: thanks. My domain was expired for a few days from another provide, i tried to transfer to you but failed a few time from online order.

            by the way, if anyone from your tech team may help moving my current cPanel setting? in that case i can stay with you lifetime… also, i have a second domain and cPanel hosting but i am using this one everyday with my clients, so i am too afraid the merging take too long…

              @formatc: So we can assist with cPanel to cPanel transfers for free, and its pretty easy with minimal to no downtime.

              The site should stay online the whole time, however you'll have a small rollback from when we import the backup, to the time you took the backup (For example, emails, and any changes to the site). The impact is usually minimal, and emails will still be delivered to the previous host in the process.

              As for the domain error, can you open a ticket with a screenshot please and we can take a look. Thanks!

      We previously did these but unfortunately the cost of cPanel accounts is getting quite high. To a point where we would be losing money on any discounted reseller hosting when fully utilized (all accounts).

      Hi,

      So if you place an order with us first.

      Then take a 'Full Account Backup' from GoDaddy, this is via cPanel. Some providers require you to open a ticket with them first.

      Then upload this full account backup to the file manager via Obble cPanel and let us know, we will import the data and then you can update your domain name servers. Please let me know if you need to know further, or just open a ticket. Thanks!
