Hi Nocure, trying to pull up the hedger option to do a stock check and struggling, can you help?
all good sorted it.
here is the link https://nrby.in/bunnings/0464961
I frequent Bunnings more than I care to admit. This will come in very handy. Thanks @nocure!!
Only on sale cos Aldi has the same item at $99.99
Aldi one is hedger and pruner.
Aldi one is skin only. This comes with battery and charger.
you can still get an aldi combo pruner/hedger + 4ah battery + charger cheaper than buying two of these
Depends on your battery ecosystem and warranty desire.
Which one is easier to use and maintain? I am worried it is very heavy.
Thank you
Incorrect. Has had clearance stickers at my local for months. But as with OP has only just reduced further (not as much as post yet though).
Nah. Seen them for $50 a few weeks back at one of my locals. Only 2 though. The other store was $155 and wouldn't match. Saw on Friday they went to this price so now waiting to see how much further they go.
Same price at Keperra QLD.
Does this include the pruner chainsaw and the hedge trimmer attachment?
Just the hedger. There is a pruner available also for the same price.
Ok thanks.
Worth noting that just the chainsaw attachment can be bought separately and it just clicks into place when the hedger part is clicked off. I got mine a couple of years ago for $49 (for the chainsaw attachment).
You don't have to buy a complete chainsaw pruner tool complete with the pole, battery & charger. The chainsaw is surprisingly capable - probably done a branch about 8-10cm in thickness with it.
Are you sure thats the case with these? I bought the pole pruner and the saw is fixed on the end. It isnt the adjustable and removable one.
Edit: The one that pulls off looks different https://www.ozito.com.au/p/3410823-pxcphts-018/
@Duff5000: Sorry, maybe it is different. The link at the top doesn't work for me - it just goes to the shop page, and when I search for "Ozito pole pruner" on the Bunnings website I only get the adjustable one (maybe it is a Qld thing ?).
I was referring to the adjustable one where you can swap the chainsaw & hedge trimmer heads.
https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-pole-hedge-trimmer… - trimmer for $199 (I paid about $150 on sale a few years ago)
and the chainsaw attachment;
https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-pruner-at… - $68 - I paid $49 for mine on sale.
@Andy01: Yeah the link is broken. the pic the op posted was better: https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/8977/110903/pxl_202403…
Not just a qld thing. They have the adjustable on the shelf here. As you can see in the pic though, it looks quite different.
Hey mate can you link to this chainsaw attachment I'm interested in that. Need to get one to cut down branches in the backyard. Checking out Ozito range to see what is the most cost effective way since I already got blower and trimmer kit
@neonlight: They are talking about this. https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-pruner-at…
It doesnt work with the hedge trimmer in the posted deal though. Just buy the chainsaw in the deal for $116.
@Duff5000: Thanks I see, which one is the chainsaw deal for $116?
@neonlight: Look at the photo for the deal, it has both in it.

I bought it when it was $155 and found it hard to use. Fortunately Bunnings let me return it.
As mentioned in the prior posts, the weight distribution meant it is hard to operate which I was already aware of but what I did expect is how weak the thing is which is weaker than the fake Makita hand-held saw I got from ebay.
Yes heavy, but I like how the extension is an add on piece not embedded in the pole. makes the non extended size very managable. I have no power issues. Hacks through hedges fine.
I also paid $155 for a start. ….,,
I see might as well use the normal hedge trimmer with a ladder. The pole just makes it harder to control and no good for your arms
This has a thicker branch cut and is also longer cut. Will never go back to a ladder and hedger. Too hard to cut the top.
One common issue I keep reading about these pole pruners is how people put the chains on in the wrong direction and having problems with cutting as a result.
Thank you! This could be it! I will have another go.
I’ve had one of these for a couple of years. It’s been super reliable and has all the power I need. It can tackle some surprisingly thick branches in our hedge and gets a decent workout. Our hedges are big and I also trim my elderly neighbours hedges with it too. Works a charm!
But this quite heavy right?
I handle it fine… but I do a lot of weight training so might be a good indication. Best guess would be to look at the weight of similar units.
Is this the same as the skin only kits on their site listed for $199?
Cannot search for this specific item on bunnings site.No it isnt.
That one has an interchangeable head. You can swap the saw to a hedging tool on that. That also has a telescoping pole. The one in the deal has a 3 segment pole (no telescoping).
$200 skin one: https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-pole-prun…
The one in the deal is advertised here: https://www.ozito.com.au/news/nail-the-perfect-gift-this-fat…
Thanks op, needed a new pole trimmer
@drezy you could have just bought this…
Oooh $69…. Nice ;P
That's what a pole trimmer is for mate. Successful 69!!!
🤣🤣
Spotted in Victoria too Op
Can this be used as a normal hedge trimmer?
Dont see this on the bunnings website - only the pole prunerAlso is the stock checker a reliable indicator that it is this price where stock is indicated as being available?
Same price at Bunnings Marsden Park but still 155$ at Bunnings Seven Hills (Both in NSW)
How did you check this?
Saved my trip to 7hills
I had to go to both places for some purchase
Any chance you can 1 of each and get > then 2 meters reach ? :)
Its already up to 2.9m anyway insit it?
I'm interested in this as well.
is 18V strong enough, or should I look for a 36V one?
Plenty of power.
In stock in Darwin too, both pole hedge trimmer and pole pruner models
Grabbed one for the wife
What. Really???
Times have moved on.
Valentines day was over 2 weeks ago :)
Wives and husbands both need pruners mate!
Get the wife a hedge trimmer and the wife might get you a pole pruner.
It'll be good to see how much further these drop.
I've been looking at hedge trimmers for a few weeks. How does this compare?
https://au.worx.com/shop/configuration/kit/worx-20v-pole-saw…
Nice find. Looks like a solid option if you don't need the convenience of a Bunnings or Aldi if there's any issues.
I've been happy enough with my Worx stuff.
My local Bunnings has it on special/clearance for $17x but checked out for $116.25 at the register. You'll need chainsaw oil for it too.
Do you know if the chainsaw detachable from the pole and any chainsaw oil works?
Head is fixed into a ~1m long pole. The handle is much the same. So the shortest you can make it is about 2m.
I dont recall it saying you need anything special chainsaw oil wise.
Interested in the pole pruner/chainsaw but im going to wait and see if they go below $116.25
Buy and then return using the higher price receipt
plenty of stock in bunnings northmead of both he pole trimmer and pruner
Thanks mate.
So the pole trimmer is $116. 25 (op) and the pruner is $49?Both are $116.25 - pole trimmer and pole pruner. I think its the older model without the changeable head
Ah, someone up top said that we could just buy the chain saw head by itself for $49 without needed to buy the entire kit.
Not an older model, a different model. Looks more balanced to be honest.
@boxall: This one also has a longer head and a bigger cut diameter.
Grabbed a pole hedge trimmer from Dural Bunnings, not near the Ozito shelfs but in the main hall to the right after entry.
If we get both for $165.25, it works out to be $66.25 dearer than Aldi, but aldi is skin only. The battery and charger is another $50 I reckon.
So mathematically, if you're starting out, am I right in saying one should get the Ozito?
And if one already has the aldi battery+charger, then get the Aldi one?You can't get both for $ 165.25. They are $116 each.
Thanks OP, chazozz and thepartypeople. I got both from Delacombe. Seemed to be several of each there out the front, separate from the shelved stock. The worker I spoke to on the phone had a bit of trouble locating them on the system so the stock number really helped
After using to do a few basic trims (pole hedge trimmer), it is heavy and a bit hard to handle. Maybe it will take a bit of getting used to. Works well otherwise
I use it a lot without the extension, and it is much more manageable.
Bought the Pole Pruner. Anywhere to find the Hedge Trimmer attachment?
From a previous post, seems this pole pruner is the "newer" model but can only find the hedge trimmer for the older model.
There is no attachment. These are not interchangeable heads.
I got the pole pruner kit for $116.25, was eyeing off the skin only pole pruner which is $200 with no battery so this is a much better deal.
This clearance one is model PXPPK-2520 - extendable 2.07m to 2.9m, fixed angle at 30 degrees. The skin only is model PXCPPS-018, which is angle adjustable.
Has anyone tried both or compared the differences?
A pallet of these for $99 at Bunnings Cockburn, WA
Picked up the pruner kit from mindarie yesterday for $65. Sorted out the trees by that afternoon, great deal, thanks.
Appears to be nationwide if you search the stock number shown on the ticket. Here’s a link to stock levels https://nrby.in/bunnings/0467769.
…aaaand the the winner is Springfield Central in QLD, with 41 in stock!
