Spec:

1920x1200 resolution, IPS screen, 300cd/㎡, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 100% sRGB color gamut and 178° viewing angle.
2 USB Type-C 3.1 ports(for charging and video input), OTG(connect mouse keyboard) and one HDMI port

According to an Ozbargainer's review, it is a competent product

Just had a play with the monitor.
Build quality is pretty good. Can’t believe how light it is. The folio case is cool although the magnets aren’t super strong but probably good enough for the use case. The screen doesnt have magents on the front so the case doesn’t keep it closed.
Comes with 3 different connection cables and usb type a power brick. All cables are about a meter in length so if you have to plug it in - you’ll require a longer cable for it.
Was super easy to setup. Just plugged into the usb c port and auto connected. I assume it’s a pd port as the laptop is just powering it. Doesn’t seem to be effecting the quality at all.
Screen is clear and on par with the Lenovo x13 the wife uses for work.
Has in built speakers which is cool. Don’t sound great but it’s expected.
Build quality seems fine.
Overall I’m pretty happy! pretty keen to see what the mrs thinks of it when she uses it over the next few days.

The display may be very dim if powered solely from your Laptop's USB port. Either increase the USB power voltage from BIOS / power management setting or connect a USB-C AC power for maximum brightness

Great price, I would jump into it if it was a touchscreen. It's a pity!

  • This is alright for a 2nd screen laptop monitor

Glad I purchased a portable monitor. I was initially hesitant to the quality of these however I now use a smaller ESR monitor under a 32in for work for quick glance to work applications and it has saved a lot of desk space of using a larger monitor side by side. Quality is really good for the price and would purchase again if needed.

The only negative I have read is with the cheap OLED models. I think if going OLED probably not the best to get at this point in time for screen burn in and built to a really low cost though if anybody has found a good model please post.

After the last post, a friend also uses one every time for travel as a second monitor to his laptop or smartphone with a travel case and says the lightness makes it easy to pack.

Good price find and post OP.

I've had a lot going on but i've been meaning to review the oled monitor. from what i can gather there is a a fair bit of variation between panels. mine is only remotlely colour accurate when i run the brightness at near 100% and i gotta say it's not the most comfortable way to use it cause it is rather bright. it can look really good but i often find i need to tweak it to look good for different content. it really struggles with dimming of colour graded movies where the shadows have a colour cast. it will pixelate really bad when transitioning to fully off pixels where a standard lcd won't show any artifacting. i need to do some proper testing but the dimming of white to black is much smoother and doesn't have this problem so movies that keep the shadows unsaturated look great. i have been using it a lot, it is far from perfect but i do like it. it is a perfect size to use below my main monitor. i think it will likely make you want to have a proper oled monitor for your primary.

Link shows 14". Is the listing information correct?

  • did they change it, link shows 14"?

    • Yes, they did. I purchased the 16" a few weeks ago. When i go to my previous orders and click through to get to the product page, it takes me to the 14"now. Can they do that? It feels like it will give you the wrong reviews

      • If they are technically allowed to, certainly seems shady.

  • Yep showing the 14” but with. $20 coupon. So $99.

  • So is this 14" a good buy at $99?

  • How many watts is required to power it?

    • Don't have this particular portable screen but going by my one. It won't need much as i power mine with the usbc on my laptop.

I have also used a powerbank to power it at times.

  • Just worked remotely for 3 months.
    Best investment

  • Can that ugly logo be removed off the bezel?

    • Easily, it's just stickers.

  • Nice. Have been meaning to get one of these portable monitors for a while now. This one seems like a good sweet spot and the current price even better. I have been using this iPad Pro 12.9” as a second monitor when travelling with my work Lenovo laptop, but it’s a clunky solution requiring a hardware dongle (Luna Display) and software on the host & iPad.

This seems like a much simpler plug&play solution and good resolution for a 14” display for regular work tasks, email, Excel, Teams etc.

  • It becomes $100 now

    • The link is 14" now, not 16" as deal title
