Code: 24AN05 for another US$5 off

  • +2

The QB826G is the 2nd option for me, so might be different for others too…

    • +2

4th option on the website for me.
Was it the 2nd option on the app maybe?

  • +1

Hopefully Amazon brings back the $139 deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/830786

    • +1

Why? This one is the same product but about $20 less if you include RichardL's code above?

      • +15

Hassle free warranty and peace of mind.

        • +3

I brought from amazon for 139. But with the build quality of this model, I'd say it's very unlikely that you'd need the warranty.

        • +1

          Yeah that's fair I suppose.
I haven't heard anything negative about these (everyone claims they last forever) but $20 isn't too bad for peace of mind.

I actually got that last deal off Amazon as well, but felt why not a second one!

          • +1

@Deviner: I cheaped out and got a Baseus 100w power bank (also for its different form factor) as my backup power bank and bought a Samsung one as the small/pocket one.

Baseus is not as dependable. Has issues sometimes - reporting wrong state of charge etc but I don't feel bad wearing it down

          • +1

@Deviner: You must have got in quick for the Amazon MM deal, I have missed it now at least 4-5 times.

With this deal you at least get a chance to get in and order in reasonable time. I get what you

mean with Amazon peace of mind, but should be a solid performer as reliable and tough.

  • +2

Good deal. Just wanted to point out that there is a difference between the local Chinese version (QB826) and the international version (QB826G). The international version is much better for a little bit of extra cost - refer to RichardL's comment in another thread for details.

    • +1

Yep hence the bold letters in the first line, its not the same product sadly and the inconsistency might screw up a few people.

      • +2

It actually did happen to someone the last time this powerbank was posted, although it was for another Aliexpress powerbank 😅

Not sure why Aliexpress would allow sellers to create these bait and switch listings…

  • +1

One of the Best powerbank I still own for over 2 year, especially great on long haul flights with laptop and portable gaming devices (e.g. Switch, steam deck, aya neo etc).

    • I got 2 of the 65w version. Built like a tank and very useful to charge laptops and other gadgets.

  • I don't really need 210W (100W is fine for me tbh), but more juice can't hurt…
I just don't know if I trust Aliexpress warranty, vs patiently waiting for the Amazon deal to come back around, which won't be as cheap, but much better peace of mind with claims. My mindset is still reluctant to buy any item over $100 on Aliexpress…

    (The 100W powerbanks I was also considering for around $80-$85: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08VDJP7WN/ & https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0B2W82T6R/)

    • Just wanted to point out that the ZMI is not true 210W - the best it can do is 100W from one USB C port, so in that sense it is really just a 100W powerbank with flashy marketing. Bigger number = better right?

I bought from Amazon from the previous deal for the exact same reason: peace of mind. And if you're not willing to wait any longer, the 100W INIU with 3 year warranty is looking mighty good too.

      • +1

I think many or most of them advertise based on the peak combined output across ports rather than maximum output over a single port.

The INIU 100w for example drops to 65w max on its highest output port if you have a second device connected (https://iniushop.com/en-au/products/iniu-power-bank-b63-2500…). I might be blind but that’s not advertised on their Amazon listing for the product, but is on the specs on the link I’ve included.

Ugreen has a 145w which again is multiple ports to hit that number, although when a single device is connected they come very close with a peak 140w out.

        • You're definitely correct. Always have to double check each port in the specs and see if it meets one's needs.

I do wonder what people are charging that requires ports to need 210W simultaneously?
145W seems more than enough for a phone and a laptop… but yeah the Ugreen deal (https://www.amazon.com.au/UGREEN-Portable-25000mAh-Rechargin…) is a little more expensive $130 (albeit it is via Amazon, so will arrive quicker and a hassle free claims process) and is an Amazon Prime exclusive deal.

Also for INIU, I wonder if there's any difference buying from the manufacturer's store (listed for $80), versus Amazon (listed for $89.99 with 10% off = $81)… both claim 3 year warranty. Maybe Amazon is better if there are warranty issues since they're a 3rd party.

    • +1

Same here. Was just looking at these 2 (100w) alternatives. The X6G has pass-through charging, but has capacity discrepancy (https://techtest.org/100w-usb-c-powerbank-ohne-drosselung-di…)

  • I've been waiting for the $140 deal from Amazon for ages but to miss it each time. Thanks OP.

If you've picked the Global version (G) without charger and with the discount code above, should come up to A$114.78.

  • All time low was actually $81.99 albeit a few years ago now: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/657128

Nonetheless this is a great deal, and the cheapest in a long time. Ordered a spare.

Be sure to pay with PayPal in case you have any issues.

    • thats a different product - but still looks to be great value.

      • It actually was the 210w 826G version

        • I stand corrected, incredible value

  • This will be sea freighted so not really worth the saving IMO.

  • $110.37 aud total using the 5 USD code off

  • 8 weeks shipping… Yikes.

    • I recently purchased some 826G's from this seller. They came in about 5 weeks, but I didn't really see any movement until I contacted the seller and asked whether they were coming by sea or air. The seller told me it was by air, but I suspect it was not sent via that method. They did arrive eventually, but expect a wait!

      • -1

I think I'll just wait for an Amazon deal to pop up in the meantime. I don't urgently need one, and if I do, I'll just pay the Amazon premium.

  • +1

Final cost was $117.78 inc gst freight and the $5usd promo code for the Global Version.
Hopefully I have redeemed myself from the last deal this time .

Price seems to have gone back up over $120+ delivery+ gst .

    • +1

As long as we learn from our mistakes 🤣

    • -1

I believe it’s limited to one per person at the price. If you log out you should still see the $93 price.

  • I learnt that aliexpress has a bunch of different versions of things on their listings and that it pays to read the fine print ,

as I’m sure plenty of others get caught out this way and may or may not realise this when their item turn up .

Or it was just me ..

    • +1

      Because they're all drop shippers.

You gotta find the original somehow

  • I’m after a power bank that’s small/light and suits charging iPhones when travelling. Anyone got a suggestion or two?

  • Another +1 to a great powerbank. Bought two a few years back for around $90 and they are still operating fine.

Cant say the same to some of the cygnett ones i have purchased…..

  • +2

OP, I think no more at this price

    • +1

Yeah, back up to AU $152.58 and the US $5 off code also no longer working. Super glad I finally got a deal on this.

I will have to wait a while for mine ( see below comment ), but at least I got it at the Best Possible OzBargain Price,

and I don't actually need this as I have well into the double figures powerbanks, but Really Wanted this Beauty lol.

  • I read reviews on Amazon that it doesn't do 45w fast charging for the latest Samsung phones. Anyone else experience the same?

  • +1

Ordered one Finally at this record low price for $117.87 delivered.

For once I did not look at the delivery date assuming that coming from China usually takes 2-4 weeks.

    Estimated Delivery on May 24 / 2024, that's nearly 10 weeks :-(

Will be my Belated birthday present, at least it will already be paid off using AfterPay lol.

  • I ordered one for the times when I need to work on-the-go.
Can I ask - if I only plan to use this once every 6 weeks for example, what’s the best way to handle it in terms of power bank health? Let it discharge naturally and then recharge to full a day before I need it, or just always keep it topped up?

    • They hold the charge well, simply recharge before use.

    • +2

As a rule of thumb I only recharge my powerbank to 100% if I know for certain I'll be needing it the next day. Otherwise I try to keep it around 40% to 80% full so I have enough charge for emergencies / blackouts.

Recall reading somewhere that rechargeable batteries should kept at 20% to 40% for long term storage and infrequent use (6+ month intervals?), but have absolutely no clue if that is true. I am certainly not going to deliberately discharge my powerbanks to keep it within this range because it'll probably wear out the battery even further.

  • +2

Managed to just get one. Then it went back up to $120.

So if you're after one, might be worth checking back in every now and then. They seem to keep adding more stock at the cheaper price.

  • Changed Google accounts and final price is still $118.24 when using 24AN05 for $8 aud off .

  • Price now $92.82 , so a little cheaper ..
Don’t know if the 24AN05 code still works on top .

  • Just pull the trigger, it was showing one left.

The price now back to $119.36.

  • I bought one two days ago .
Just letting anyone looking know that the deal hasn’t expired yet .
    but
    No worries
    I won’t bother .

  • +1

    I couldn’t resist
    10 bucks cheaper now

    • +1

Tempting. I bought this and was planning to buy Anker 737 whenever there is a bargain. Is it better keeping 2 of these or buying Anker 😀

  • +1

I have the 130w Anker 737 but an older model , now they have a newer on with a dock for wireless charging and also 200w and 250w versions .
I would go a larger one if you try to keep the batteries in good condition by just charging to 80% and discharging to 20% .

  • +1

Of course the ZMI no.20 global version has Samsung cells so should outperform the Anker 737 by a fair margin ,
going by what’s been said about the zmi and my experience with the 737 .
Also they have added more stock and this is hopefully not the last one now .

    • +1

Thanks. Purchased another of these as a backup !!

  • +1

Yea , I think I’ll get another one myself to charge up with a solar panel then use on rainy days like today .
Funny how quickly all your stored power goes when you’re not able to constantly top up devices with solar ,
nor charge powerbanks/batteries to keep up with general household demand .

  • Final price is $108.29 including delivery ,GST and using code 24AN05 for $8 aud off .

Probably good enough for another deal listing ,
I believe this is the cheapest for a long while and
I’ve read people saying they’re not going to be making them anymore .

    • +1

Yep I also picked it up for the exact same price with delivery and GST using the same code.
I can ask the mods to change the price, and you are 100% right it is the cheapest we have seen this item in well over 24 months.

I currently have 3, two in my travel briefcase and one on order - if this is true I am going to order a few more for the long run, they are terrific

  • The discount code doesn’t seem to work anymore taking the price back up to
    $115+ ,
If anyone ca find a working code for this deal let us know ,
I’m keen to order another .

    • +1

      AE5ZNAF

This worked for me today morning when I ordered another.

  • +1

    Yep
    Good one mate
    that code worked
Ordered another one for $108.21 .
    Got three coming now
    Should be enough ?
    Mmmmm….

  • +1

Ordered it, then realised shipping is estimated to be 31st of MAY!

  • Finally sold out, what a good run

    • Why is it marked sold out. I am still able to order for $115

      • The item may be in stock, but the deal per the title is expired

        • Yes earlier cost was $114.78 and now it is around $115

  • +1

    anyone had theirs shipped yet?

    • +1

Mine says shipped but can't see tracking information yet.

      • +1

        Same here

        • yeah still no tracking for me either although apparently it'll track once it hit Australia.

I got the organiser bag I ordered from this deal today and that was ordered more than a week after the QB826G lol
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/838093

          • +3

@mrshorty: Order placed on 19 March, and delivered today. Sydney

            • @wangsk: yep mine arrived today too! Sydney

              • @mrshorty: Looks like that May 31st shipping time frame is def not the case

Ordered on Mar 26 and 27 respectively, wondering if anyone had tracking update through AliExpress or through Auspost at any given time point?

                • +1

@AircraftFreight: I've got a new tracking info from some sender DSTS which came through Melb airport. Probably it?

                  • @atlas: Does the tracking number match the one on Ali? But yeah that sounds about right DSTS does a lot of AliExpress/Cainao handling

    • Ordered 19th March and received today. Central Coast, NSW.

  • Ordered QB826G on Taobao for AU$90.

    Thanks for the QB826 vs QB826G comparison! I.e. 65W input / 200W output vs 100W input / 210W output.

    • +1

      A link perchance?

I haven't had the pleasure of dealing with Chinese merchandisers more closely than Ali.

    • 80% after a day or two of sitting idle. The cells don't seem to hold 100% for long. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

      • +1

I've experienced the same before with a different powerbank from BlitzWolf, where the charge drops from 100% to 0% in about 2 weeks while sitting idle. You definitely have a defective unit. Get in touch with support ASAP and push for a refund.

        • +1

Defective or fake unit ? Note it's purchased from Taobao

          • +1

@Yogi555: If it's from Taobao… There's pretty much no hope for any useful kind of support when you're overseas.

Nevertheless you should still attempt to get in touch with support, do their dance around "we'll get back to you in 3 to 5 business days", and push for a chargeback with whatever payment method you used after maybe a month or so of back-and-forth.

  • Received my first one yesterday , with two more circling in on final approach .
A bit larger and heavier than I thought they’d be , but then they do seem to perform well by charging phones and ipads multiple times , probably outperforming my Anker 737 easily x 2 . (130w Anker bought on a recent sale for $130 vs ZMI 205w cost $108-$117)

My sympathies for anyone that chose to buy one from taobao . 🤦🏻
