    Got one of these in the last deal and can’t add it to Apple Pay. Says invalid card details.

    I added it to Google Pay on an old phone but have yet to use it. Once I know it can be used on Google Pay without a hitch, will buy more.

      That would be my assumption too.

      That gift card portal should use MCC 5399, which is not officially permitted on this gift card.

      Even if the portal was using the correct MCC, the next issue would be that the portal would never process any transactions from the gift card in this deal. The portal will refuse to process any transactions directly from prepaid Visa gift cards, including regular Activ Visa gift cards. Paying via PayPal probably would not be an option either, because that should be blocked too on this particular gift card.

      Additionally, the terms and conditions of this gift card says:

      3. Cards cannot be used towards the purchase of any other gift cards or vouchers at participating merchants.

      I am not sure to what extent Blackhawk Network enforces this, but I largely consider this a moot point, considering the other two issues I have outlined above…

    Though the price-lock is not the same as earlier, these are good for topping up Opal Cards in NSW (if anyone is still using that method). Some of the 7-Eleven do the top-up and you save 6%.

    i topped up 100$ went to 7-11 and they rejected it.
    I showed them the details including Activ Visa gift card details.

      What do you mean, you told them it was a GC?
      I don't say anything just tap and go.
      They also have no legit reason to deny these as payment, if you contact head office they'll want to know which store and time this happened so they can train, or retrain the staff member responsible for this incident.

      Tried today with $120 fuel. We split the $20 onto cc first and tried with just $100 remaining but still couldnt get it to work. Might have to manually enter the numbers? How did you go?

      Try to use it to make payment at Costo today to pay for groceries and it got rejected, will try at Costco Fuel station next time I am there

      Avoid buying giftcard at EG Ampol as it applies the similar restriction measures as Woolworths. I think your declined error is "item not allowed".

    The balance of gift card doesn’t show on the 7/11 receipt , I also tried checking balance on 7/11 website and it says invalid ?? I have asked the attendant at 7/11 for balance and they said I don’t know.
    So where do I find out the balance ?
