    It's not user friendly.

Everytime I need to spend at least half an hour to reset everything when I change RSP every 6 months.

And you can't get more than 150mbps when you are connected to the points.

So $99 is still expensive to me.

    • i'm dim today, but what is an RSP please?

      • +1

        ISP

        • +1

oh duh! of course. a typo. i'll lie and say i've never seen one of them before.

and @sfac it sounds to me you have this kit, and you value it at much less than $99 even when new. on that basis i'll offer you $30 for it.

@AdModnar: RSP is a name nbn made up and it stands for Retail Service Provider. Most just say ISP.

      • I was today years old when I learned this also:

        Internet Service Provider (ISP)
An organisation that offers access to the Internet to its customer.

        Retail Service Providers (RSPs)
The retail network service providers and application/content service providers are those that provide services to end users and have a direct customer relationship with the end users. Wholesale service providers do not have this relationship.

Yep exactly the same here (about need to do a full reset when change ISP/RSP). And yes I have attempted to not resetting it when I change provider, but the setting grey out and doesn’t allow me to change network setting unless I go on a full reset…

You need to unplug the Ethernet cable from the WAN port to be able to change the WAN settings between DHCP and PPPoE or even update the PPPoE username/password.

        • If my memory serves me right, that was what I tried as per my Google search result “TWICE”, but it didn’t do anything….

But I would always want to try it again (desperate attempt) before reset and spend another 30 mins changing all my devices’ password….

      • I used to do this. But then realised the button is no longer greyed out if my internet goes down after churning. Took 5min to change the ISP details instead of the full reset now that I know.

    OOS everywhere I checked

  • @martismo was there any stock when you posted this? Its zero now 😒

    • Yes, bought one from my local store at Hervey Bay before posting

YMMV but these are trash, constant dropouts, unexplainable connectivity issues.

Setup is easy and user friendly, but that's about it.

    • I have them and I have the exact experience, the worst Wi-Fi unit I have ever used.

Theses are great until they're not.
    I went back to ubiquiti

Mine 3 packs been great for few years now, havent been drop out, would upgrade to Wifi 6 when price is right though… given most NBN user speed is still snail slow in Australia… these still serve its purposes for most users.

Same. I have the first gen 1, and it’s been great since I got it. I get 105/18 on my HFC 100/20 connection

  • I have these. They work as advertised. My only caveat is when you use them for 2.4ghz smart devices. Some smart devices don't play nice with the blended 2.4ghz/5ghz network, and refuse to connect on the basis that it's not 2.4ghz

Worked around it by using a separate range extender, but it's annoying.

  • out of store everywhere
