Swiftkey Keyboard for Phone & Tablet Half Price $1.99

390

Great Keyboards for Android, I've purchased both versions.

Go to the link for their blurb.

They say "Half Price for Thanksgiving and Black Friday!" So it won't be around for too long!

Edit: Changed price format

    love this keyboard :)

  • If you haven't bought this already I highly recommend you do. I paid 99c for it a few months back and it's so much better than the default keyboard

The new 4.2 keyboard is the best stock one yet, unless you're a huge SWYPEr though I'd go with swiftkey

    • I'm using the default samsung skeyboard on the S3 with Jellybean and it works fine, it also has a Swype like mode and seems good enough.

Fair enough, you might want to look at the Free trial before being so certain though. Stock keyboards work well enough but this one's accuracy and speed is largely unparalleled..

If we all just got this app, we wouldn't need to be updated on ozBargain every time an app went on sale:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.tsapps.app…

    • Thanks, I never knew a such app existed.

As for Swiftkey, I still think it is the best keyboard out there.

      • No probs, that's why I posted it. ;-)

  • Can you swype with this keyboard?

    • Nope. But hopefully they'll bring out the Swiftkey Flow beta soon. And then update the app with the swype feature. http://www.swiftkey.net/flow/

      • Yeh I registered for the beta.

    • Once I tried SwiftKey I never wanted to go back to Swype. Its prediction engine is amazing and way better than what you can achieve with Swype. You can type very quickly and the autocorrect will work well almost all the time. If you allow it to, it can learn your writing style based on your sent emails, texts, Facebook and Twitter posts, which tunes the prediction engine.

  • Bought this yesterday. Darn it.

  • I'm only going to have my tablet delivered to me on monday. I already have the phone version. Is there a way I can buy the app for the tablet on the same account before hand?

    • of course, just buy it, i just did on my S3

      • Many people don't realize that if you go to the Google play store on any pc via a Web browser, you can buy any application, even if it's not supported on your current device.

        • I can buy even unsupported applications - for instance, i just bought the swiftkey tablet on my S3, and it downloaded and installed. not that I would use it, and I uninstalled it straight away, but its now in my app list on Play.
          can others not do this?
maybe this is cos i have flashed a different g-apps than stock.

        • Swiftkey tab might be "unsupported" on S3 but I doubt it will stop you using it.

But that's different to actual limitations that developers can put into an app. A developer can say "This is a 4.2 app that will work on 2.x" or they can say "This is a 4.2 app that cannot go any lower than 4.1"

    • Thanks for that, i'll buy it right away.

  • Thanks, bought.

  • I missed out last time in September =( Now I have to pay double discount but half RRP

  • Awesome keyboard, i use it for my One XL, however i only paid 99c a couple of months ago?

I paid full price for Swiftkey a few weeks ago. Definitely worth it, even at full price.

After trying the free trial, this was my review of it:
"I never thought I'd prefer a touchscreen keyboard over a physical one, but this app has changed my perception of software keyboards and how they should work. Its prediction engine is amazing, you can type very quickly and sloppily and the autocorrect will work well almost all the time. If you allow it to, it can learn your writing style based on your sent emails, texts, Facebook and Twitter posts, which tunes the prediction engine to your unique style of writing. Highly recommended!"
