Can't say I know too much about these but for less than 20 bucks, surely worth a punt.

USB – USB 2.0 host port

Running Android ICS 4.0

For those like me, who didn't really know what this does, I found this explanation from HUKD pretty helpful -

  • You do not need it if you do not have Wireless internet and TV with HDMI input.

  • It is a media player that simply connects to one of your TV HDMI connector.

  • You can insert your memory card in and it will play movies on your TV.

  • You must have at least a Mouse to use it. Better get any wireless/wired mouse from ebay etc. Plug the dongle in USB input and it should work.

  • If your TV is not connected to the internet i.e you do not have smart TV it will convert it into Smart TV. You MUST have wireless router to connect as it does not have wired connection.

  • It has Google Android 4.0 also known as Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) Operating Sytem same as any mobile or Tablet with ICS

  • Like mobiles this will not make any calls as it does not have any Antenna or place for Sim Card that connets it to mobile networks

  • It will make your TV like a mini pc.

  • What I don't know, is that they're contradicting themselves in these mass emails. I just got the one stating that I'll get a full refund, but can keep the unit (hints that it has been shipped). Just before that, got a different email stating that it hasn't been shipped (which it hasnt according to the order history).

    Two different stories, and they're possibly mass emailing everyone these contradictions. Poor service. For the record, I don't think it will be coming in for me.

    Me: or that i'll be refunded and get a coupon code
    Yarina: Sorry, it will be automatically cancelled and you will receive a full refund and a $5 USD coupon code to use toward the purchase of a related Android HD media player
    Me: then I got an email saying it had been shipped and i can keep the media player
    Me: just wanting to know, has it been cancelled or not?
    Me: I am aware that it runs at 1ghz and not 1.5ghz. I am ok with this and still want the unit if possible
    Yarina: It will be cancelled
    Yarina: Sorry, it will be automatically cancelled
    Me: so its not possible to get one of those that you have in the photos, even though it runs at a slower speed?
    Yarina: Sorry, we cannot send it out
    Me: i know its not your own personal fault, but its poor service then
    Yarina: We apologize for any inconvenience brought to you.

    Very dodgy. They have the stock, they showed the photos, but they still refuse to send out the unit. Awful service.

      It only shows they might have made a mistake with the price hence don't even want to send out the lower spec product.

      • if that is the case, it would be less of a blow on their reputation to just state it was a pricing error, within a day of noticing the huge influx of orders, and not to pretend it was because of the wrong specs, lie to everyone, and send contradicting emails

    Just got my cancellation, bit odd really. Post photos showing stock and then not ship even though people don't want it. I guess we'll see the reason when they re-list it.

    On my email they said they were gonna refund ( which they did) & delivery the product as well.
