I want an AI that learns these courses

    • They’ve already done that

    • +2

      AI writes these courses.

  • *Offer is valid until December 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

    • +3

I've edited the post with the choice of the 2 free courses. The world record is on April 8 & 9. Not sure if the free courses are until Dec. The 30% offer is valid until December 31, 2025.

with all those computers doing AI at the same time it could be how skynet starts

    • Every time you used Google, Google was using you to perfect itself.

      • +4

It didn't do a very good job. I find Google is less useful these days. And its AI summary in search results is very often wrong.

  • +1

Haven't you guys watched terminator 2?

That's what will happen if we keep going down this this ai nonsense

    • +4

that documentary was ahead of its time

      • +3

that documentary was made by the robot that got left in our timeline

    • -1

Yeah but I saw I Am Legend too, and it was an eye-opening documentary on what happens if we don't lay out the red carpet for Cortana..

      • Don't you mean, "I, Robot"?

        • Nope. But I now realise I should have picked a different title. I was going for "Apocalypse but not AI".
My bad if IAL was about AI, I haven't seen it - but Wikipedia didn't say AI was involved.

  • +6

That's some next level niche world record

    • +1

They keep getting worse. Last I saw was most ping pong balls bounced off a wall from your mouth in under 90 seconds.

      • +4

That was you and your mates just getting drunk at the holiday house

      • Still better than the Thailand version.

Guinness World Records is a native advertising company. They make their money these days from corpos, celebrities, and governments (authoritarian or otherwise…) looking for publicity stunts and paying them help find or come up with records to break. That's why so many of these records you see these days are so "niche". Anybody can send in a record to be verified, but good luck getting it approved within your lifetime without paying for the service.

1 free course. Choice of 2 courses.

You can choose to participate in either one or both. There is no limit of 1 free course if I'm not wrong.

    • +1

Thanks and updated post. I was able to enrol in the 2 free courses.

  • Any idea how long the course is?

Unlock your potential and showcase your AI skills! As part of the Microsoft AI Skills Fest Challenge, we’re celebrating 50 years of Microsoft innovation by giving away 50,000 free Microsoft Certification exam vouchers in weekly prize drawings.

Anyone found any details on this? I already have AI-900 but I would be willing to jump through some hoops if I have a decent chance of getting a voucher for, say, AZ-204 or something else more useful.

    edit: found it.

Codes can be used for the following certification exams:

    DP-700
    AI-102
    AZ-900
    AZ-204
    MS-102
    SC-401
    SC-200
    AI-900
    DP-100
    DP-203
    DP-300
    DP-420
    DP-600

How do you expect to get them? Do you think that if you register on Microsoft.com directly and on edx.org it will be 2 certificates one on each?

  • +2

As somebody with no experience in coding/programming/etc would it be worth me undertaking AI Agents Course? It sounds much more interesting. Or would there be too many learning curves and I'd be better off with the introductory course? TIA.

    • +1

If I were you, I would register free for Microsoft Learn and get their AI basics first. Not to waste time but Quick bites. Just so I am aware before taking this course. AI agents would be an extension to some specifics in generic use cases.
And yes, you could attempt this course.

Aren't these all free 'to audit' normally?
    What is special here?

    • Ozbargain has become weird for some "deals".

Like movie promotions on here for old movies.

    • +1

You get to see advertising for free, they don't even pay anyone for it.

    • The "Certificate" is normally $20, free with this promo. Useful for recording professional development activities for some, but the courses I saw are an hour so you won't learn much. Some good real-world examples (if you've never seen AI before)

      • Are you sure? The audit track is free but the verified track for a cert still seems to be $20:

"The AI Skills Fest courses are free through the audit track. Learners also have the alternative option to complete the verified track and earn a certificate of completion for $20."

        • they give you a unique code to enter during checkout to take the $20 to $0.

          • @xrailgun: I've only been offered $6 off

            • +4

@NotBritishorUK: It could be a generic code. Link here.

Use code DR7MLQPA5EMLG2ZZ to earn a free certificate of completion in two Microsoft courses — Use AI for Everyday Tasks, or Getting Started with AI Agents in GitHub Copilot.

@alvian or @hamza23 Can you please add to my post description as the post has been locked and I can't edit. Thanks.

      • The real value is in the MS exam voucher.
