    Will 9070xt be better value.

      • +60

        Very informative thank you

    • Look at some tests and see what games you play and what one performs better on average. Also there are more dlss games so look into that also. I think on average the 9070xt is a better value.

    • +7

vs 9070 xt rrp $1139 $360 less, I think 9070 xt is better value. vs the cheapest 9070 xt current price $1399 which is only $100 less, the 5070 ti is hands down better for the superior dlss with better game support and rt and slightly better raster.

      • And path tracing.

Get a PS5 and call it a day.

      • -1

Depends how you go about it. Invest in hardware and skills, and you'll never pay for software. High upfront hardware cost of PCs has pros and cons, and the console experience can be expensive with multiplayer subscriptions and so on. Sometimes the console is just easier, and that alone is worth it.

      • +5

And what play at 40fps LOL

        • -4

Yeah, better to pay 4 figures so you can play shitty games at 100fps+.

          • -2

@smartazz104: More games and variety then PS5 catalogue
Weather AAA or shitty games don't matter 100fps pc master race glorious

      • no with modern games smeary AF post processing ruining the experience on console.

I'll gladly pay for this 5070 compared to 9070 xt

    • +1

If you think about it, its a 70Ti class card (actually should have been atleast a 60Ti or 70 class card at best) and 1499 is not the price we should be paying. 1499 is what we should be paying for the 5080 which is a 70Ti class card. I dunno how so many people are upvoting this deal.

Huang won by making us think this price is OK for such a card! So did Lisa. The RRP of 9070XT should have never crossed 999 AUD.

      • Yes in a world with better competition lower prices would have been nice but the people who are upvoting this deal are living in the real world where we have to deal with NVIDIA prioritising wafer allocation to large scale professional GPUs rather than consumer use.
I too wish we could have a 5080 for $1500 but that's not likely to happen any time soon

        • +1

The fact that its available after 20 hours means that its clearly over priced. Its not just wafer allocation but lack of competition from AMD. If there was a 9080XT for 1300 to 1400 AUD, the 5080 would have been priced lower.

          • @John Doh: I agree on all accounts that GPUs are overpriced at the moment, and competition is nearly non-existent, but I reckon the main reason these are still in stock is because many people are dealing with increased costs for everything else too

      • its like soccer fan club, once ur a fan, its for life regardless how bad the club is performing.

    • At MSRP yes, at the higher prices it's dependent on what you are looking for and prefer (brand, experience DLSS4 vs FSR4, still stronger ray tracing etc), in saying that i wouldn't pay more that $1250-1299 for the 9070XT. I have 9070XT i got at msrp it's ok value (nothing right now is good value in all honesty), the closer it gets to the 5070ti price the less attractive that card is.

    • Gaming only: Yes
      ML/AI etc: No

    • If you're playing games that use a lot of ray tracing isn't the 5070ti still a better buy?

  • +1

Forgot to add the $10 off on the title!!!! Hurry while stock last!

  • +5

God why do the cheapest ones have to be Gigabyte, I always buy Gigabyte and get burned

    • +5

      Because they are gigabyte

    • +6

Never happened to me so far.

    • +4

Really? I’ve genuinely never had an issue with any gigabyte product. Less flashy yet seems to have been more reliable. I’ve had multiple issues with Asus and MSI.

That’s just me, I know there are plenty of people who have had issues with any brand, no brands, all brands etc.

      • -1

My 1080ti failed last week. My friend baked it for me two years ago to get it working.

        • +2

So because your EIGHT year old GPU died, Gigabyte is a bad AIB now?
I've had 3x Gigabyte cards (a 760. a 970, and a 5700XT) over the years, and had zero issues with any of them.

          • @bAps: Actually it failed within the first two years.

It just sat there until I got someone with the skills to repair it.

I have another GTX580 that failed too with artefacts.

  • +4

good trend, will buy it for $1200

  • +2

Wow, expected this card to be 30% better than the 4080 but nope… I guess thats what zero effective competition does.

    • +6

      pokes intel with a stick

      "hey, do something"

    • +1

I saw the release, the 5070 is equal to the 4090 and only $500. Wtf you talking about

  • +3

Not a deal. You can buy 2 switch 2 with this money.

    • +8

      Or XSX + PS5
      Or PS5 + ns2
      Or XSX + ns2
      Or 100 Big Mac meals
      Or 0.011btc

      • +4

This is OzBargain, are you forgetting something:

        Or 374 Eneloop batteries
        Or 599 IKEA LADDA batteries

    • +3

And then pay $90 for every single game

      • And that's usd, it'll be closer to 150 aud.

  • +6

    HODL! 4080 was $1399

  • -1

9070xt's performance is similar to 5080. just get 9070xt

    • +12

      No it isn't?

      It's similar to a 5070 Ti, not a 5080.

      • +2

Then turn on RT and the 9070 xt gets pwned.

    • +1

Lol. It really depends by what you mean as "similar". But no, 5080 is far superior.

      • Depending on what you mean as "far superior"

        • Far superior price tag

    • It's only barley comparable to a stock 5080 when you undervolt the 9070xt in some titles.

  • +10

Means AMD did something so right that Jensen and his friends are now panicking.

    • +7

AMD just did nothing too wrong, and wait their opponents do something wrong

  • +1

    Same price at Umart.

    • +8

Umart is MSY reskinned, isn't it?

  • +5

Just wish AMD could bring out a high end card this generation

    • NVIDIA just needs competition from somebody in the high-end GPU market

  • +2

This is back in stock in case anyone wants it.

  • Simple

dont buy or consider a Overpowered GFX card 90% of gamers dont need, even the old 7600xt would do 1440p acceptably if your on a HD monitor 80fps is all you really need same with 1440p and most titles smash out 100fps+ on even middle ground graphics cards.
I see ppl with the new 50 series card and all they play is mindcraft cod etc on a HD monitor bragging about there ffs mate your monitor is only 90fps did you know!
