i'll put it down to my terrible calculator
Calculation not wrong.. 20% discount with a a max $300 discount with the coupon..
rather than 20% of $1549 ( - $309.80), the max discount of $300 was applied.
At $1239 for a non-OC model, it's a tough sell. I got my ASRock Taichi for $1299 — a true flagship with full ARGB, high-end VRMs, and overkill cooling. This one skimps on features and build quality, yet it's only $60 cheaper. Realistically, it should be priced around $1179 to make sense.
You might have gotten it for $1299, but that's not going to be the price it re-stocks at.
Unfortunately i think AMD overstated how many fards they would rebate to get them to be sold for MSRP and getting any 9070XT for under $1249 for the forseeable is going to be difficult, if not impossible.Good on you for getting such a nice card.
You've done well. Also, dont forget, there are niche cases where the larger cards arent an option. I built my wife a SFF PC in the Lian Li A4 H2O case, and the Pulse was the largest card that could fit. The other good option was the Reaper, but the Pulse had the better cooler and was still able to fit.
Sapphire Pulse is supposed to be an MSRP model, also ASUS Prime and Gigabyte Gaming.
They jacked it hard.
sure did
Jacked at launch
ozabovemsrp
Everyone that thinks this was an MSRP card at launch in Australia, it was launched at 1299.
Reaper, SWFT, Steel Legend were actual Australian MSRP at launch at 1139.Price in Australia was jacked at launch. It is same specs as other basic MSRP cards. Being more expensive at launch does not make it better value than other basic MSRP cards.
Only in AU. It is a base model, launched at MSRP in the US and China
I did mention in Australia
Same with prime and gigabyte gaming cards were launched as "MSRP" overseas
Definitely not the case in AustraliaThat is the issue. The cost to them is the same. It is like Coles and Woolworths first raise the price then just adjust it back to the origin or even still higher and they put on the **% off yellow sticks or something like Down Down or Everyday Low Price.
They are saying that because it was the card sapphire made to be MSRP but for some reason its not. The deal on it which I bought from PB tech is actually from new Zealand. I think sapphire pulse is probably MSRP in nz. Also yeah like the other person said it's also called that because it's MSRP in America. We compare everything to Americans because they are all American companies
that is a NZ retailer
Same country pretty much
I had bought XFX 9070xy but due to its 3.25 slots it will not fit in my mobo. Checked this and this one is also thick. I had to buy the reaper which is only 2 slot card but for $1249. Damn
Got the XFX for 1200.
Not sure if I should just change the mobo and keep XFX or sell that and buy the reaperJust wait for this to come back into stock at $1139: https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/graphics-cards/amd/11675…
Never trust Scorptec on price. They have already adjusted some 9070 XT even 9070 to $50 higher.
And their $6999 5090 is like a joke
I give you permission to buy it elsewhere at that price
lol, I have already got one from Scorptec, 9070 XT Steel Legend
There's apparent stock for the white hellhound xt at scorptec for $1299

I almost bought this yesterday… I had in my cart but then I decided to take a shit and think a bit more before I hit the buy button.
After few minutes sitting in the toilet on my own thoughts I came to the conclusion that these prices are BS and gave up buying itContrary to your actions, you didn't give a shit.
But he may have farted.
People normally have post clarity nut, homie had a post clarity shit…..
stop posting these bullshit RRP 'deals' just because you like AMD
Just wait for the overseas tariffs to have their effect. These will get a lot cheaper here as manufacturers are forced to dump stock that they can't shift in the USA.
I bought this. Temps are pretty low at full load so it's OK I guess. I did want the red devil though but tired of f#ckn waiting.
Although I'm not a fan of MSRP "deals" the world economy has changed massively and if all those tariffs stay in place you can consider yourself lucky getting a 9070xt in the 1200 range. Companies will offset their higher cost to make up their US losses. For luxury goods like gpus or switch2 I would expect at least a 15% price rise across the board. So if you know you want to upgrade within the next 6-12months and hardware is in stock, do it now.
the TARRIF is paid by the IMPORTER, it dosent effect the SELLER
it will be the new "covid excuse". It doesn't matter if production cost actually increased. At least thats what im expecting.
That's not how supply and demand works. Graphics cards manufacturers will have ordered millions of components many many months in advance. Production capacity is slow to change. Their factories will be running and producing these cards at a massive scale. The USA is probably the largest single export destination. With these insane new tariffs (~104% on China) export to the USA will be all but impossible. There will be electronics of all sorts piling up in Chinese warehouses.
Holding costs are high and the goods are time sensitive so exporters will have no choice but to slash prices to induce demand and shift this stock. Hence we can expect prices to fall.
@tanksinatra: I hope you are right. If we are lucky we might get short term price reductions. But if these tariffs stay and supply chains are getting disrupted a lot of stuff will get more expensive.
Thanks OP, made use of my eBay plus and bought one. Was dithering, but decided to press the trigger. The post above made sense about the state of the economy, and to be honest, even if prices drop they won't drop significantly in my opinion due to supply and demand. I'm using this card to start my 2025 AMD 7800X3D cpu gaming pc build. This should be a good upgrade from my current Intel i7 9700k with RTX1070 (which still serves me well). This should help me get ready for the GTA 6 release.
1 back in stock
The 9070 XT arrived today (super fast shipping). So refreshing from the 5 to 7 day wait from some of the online tech retailers. I'm going to install it with my i7 9700k, overclock the CPU, and see what kind of actual bottleneck I get.
$1249 here
