Went there a few weeks ago to price match an iPhone, they said they aren't price beating with costco anymore, but still honoured mine.

It should be that price, the pricing for the mini has always been its biggest issue.
They have no reason to drop that price.
If you are after an 8" tablet, your choices are iPad Mini or the cheapest, crapiest Android models. There are no longer any premium small form-factor Android tablets. This saddened me at the time (after Christmas 2021) as I'd been using Android Tablets for nearly 10 years at that point. I had to get iPad.
Don't fall into the mistake that thinking smaller should be cheaper - the iPad Mini is a beast. I use it almost exclusively for work, but it flips between One Note, Outlook, Teams, To-Do and Firefox so fluidly that it's a pleasure to use. I carry it on the bike/train daily. It's super light and it's like I don't know I'm lugging it around. I do regret buying the pencil thingy though - It's fine and does the job I bought it for. But no way has it given me $200 extra value.

Went to store and no stock. The staff is very supportive.
Ended up with making one order after price match and would pick up later in store.
OW must get a ton of complaints from ozbargainers to the ACCC about prices not being matched. I wonder if they'd be better off scrapping it from the marketing.

Great iPad - i've had it for around a month. Perfect for what I need. I have access to apple employee pricing so paid slightly less.
Non-laminated display didn't matter to me, and to be honest I couldn't even tell the difference in store. I was looking at the iPad Air also, but it's no way worth >an extra $450.

Got one, thanks. Will replace the 10th gen (64gb) purchased for a similar price end of last year. Will resell the 10th gen and recover most of the cost, probably only slightly out of pocket in return for a 2 year newer chip, double the storage and probably 2 years more software support. No brainer

No membership needed. They were very causal in store. Only took a cursory glance at the Costco listing on my phone.
Looks like the online price at Costco is now $559 or does it only show you the lower price when you sign in?
