You've missed Linkin Perk.
I thought it was Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC lol
I though it was CBA , ANZ , Westpac and NAB
Sims 4 Ahh logo
Is it worth it ?
The main perk looks like 10% off, which assuming they have the best price on their own website, you would make back in 6 nights assuming $50 per night.
Most likely sites will be more than that. It seems like it would be fairly easily to break even over two year
Just keep in mind the 10% off is capped up to $50 per stay…
$50 a night? Unpowered patches of grass these days are often $100 in peak- crazy!
You get 10% off your stay so if you spend over $300 at BIG4 in the next 2 years then you are ahead
I bought this 2 years ago and wound up spending exactly $0 on Big4 so I'm not gonna renew.
I spent a good bit on NRMA so i have saved a few quid from that membership
Same, even after the 10% it was always more expensive.
Maybe cashback on Agoda or booking.com might be the way to go to get discounted Big4 accommodation rather then 10% off
Is BIG4 worth it? I heard prices are pretty expensive as in hotel prices.
its a pretty good deal, they don't really jack it up (for the ones i've searched anyways)
If anything, they help promote deals and get a commission from it.Like Expedia, instances where cheaper to book through them because they have a deal
It probably varies largely depending on which location, but I can vouch for the one at Easts Beach in Kiama. Beautiful spot and so much to do for the kids, pretty pricey tho to be honest. We like going in January but it's their busiest time, and usually anyone getting those dates have booked a year in advance (week-long stays as a minimum) since they prioritise their 'regular' guests for that time period. We've gone the last couple years in a row but only because I happened to find gaps, I presume from ppl cancelling.
Good price for more people sharing a villa/house. They charge slightly more for an extra person. I guess a hotel room with sneaky extra person is still cheaper.
There are more like a resort with a private living space or a camping site.
Yes. Better facilities an maintenance compared to local competitors imo. Pricing was similar, never noticed it being significantly higher, if anything slightly cheaper with the 10% off.
My current membership expires 2026.
Does this deal extend it??
Just took a gamble cause it wasn't clear, and yes, it adds 2 years to your current expiry.
I got "Your membership is still valid for the next 12 months so you cannot renew"
Not many good deals were found last time unless I travelled far north or south. 10% off perk deal all I got. Staff weren't aware of the discount and tried to charge me extra at the time I arrived at the resort. Until I showed my receipt.
At the spa pool with over loaded kids, one kid's parent came to talk and accused touching her kid's butt. I said we could check the camera. It was an unforgettable memory lol
Have to remember Big4 doesn't own them or maybe some of them.
They are more like a network of holiday parks across the country.
What big4 does is create a search/support portal for holiday parks and help with marketing them to everyone.
.
The holiday parks are owned by different companies or independently owned and probably pay a small fee to them every year to be a part of it (think of hotels and Expedia). They probably also get a commission when it is booked through them.I'm aware of that after I had a quick google after that. Thought they were together at first.
But it's not hard for the system to clear the payment. The staff was not aware of any big4 discount at all when I mentioned. When I asked what was the charge for? she said don't know. The manager said it was a tech issue in the system after showing my receipt. Don't get me wrong. Staff were friendly.
Thanks OP. added 2 years to my membership
Also works in NZ at top 10! Very handy discount.
I already have a booking.would they still give the discount when I pay the rest?
I can never get a stay where I want at Kiama I found out you need a minimum 7 days
Spent $560 per night for a cabin overlooking the Murray during Boxing Day/NYE to get away. Had middle aged adults dress up in techno gear, to put on a dance party till 2am with their inflatable screen and portable speakers. No consideration. It was the worst.
Went to Asia in April, spent $400 per night for a beautiful resort beach front. Save your money and go to a nice resort in Bali/Phuket.
Firstly what did you expect for NYE. 10pm sleep time.Secondly $560 for a cabin…and $400 in Asia is even extreme.
Exactly. $560 for a cabin. I don’t dictate the prices Big4 charge.
G'day parks is a far better option. 10% off as well. 4c off at shell servos plus so many parks are signed up to g'day to get the 10% off. They have deals for 2 years as well around $30. We got it back after one 2 week camping trip plus twice over with shell.
Good to know there is a similar alternative.
Unless you have kids as a camper you would probably steer clear of Big 4 parks. They are well appointed but are kid havens.
Perks… parks. Perks… parks. I'm in way over my head.
