    Can I get both?

    • -4

      Greed is good…

    • +3

      Yes, worked for me.

      • No, tried twice and not working. Single account.

    • +1

You can get both, even with multiple accounts.

    • Yep i signed for the Coles Plus trial - with promo code above for 3 months free. then went on the app and it had the option to sign up for the Coles Plus Saver - with promo code above for 3 months free. so doubled up and both worked for the 3 month trials.

  • +3

Can someone add what benefits we can get from Coles Plus and Coles Plus Saver?

    • +1

No delivery fees with Plus, so essentially around $5 a week for as many deliveries as you want.

A 10% off code once per month.

So if you spend more than about $150 per week then it easily pays for itself.

      • Thank you guys.

        • It depends on whether you do one big shop (e.g. a big family) or many little shops (e.g. uni student in a share house). In the latter case smashing the free delivery button whenever you want would be of much more value.

      • +3

        $26 a month for both.

        10% off for one.

$260 in one shop to break even.

        • Or better, if you don't care about flybuys you'll need to spend significantly more than $260 in one shop per month to get any real value out of the membership, if you pay the full membership fee.

Breaking even is good, but not worth the hassle of you're not making big savings.

      • For the 10% off in-store shop, can you just scan the barcode in the Coles app? I don’t have to “use” the app for my shppping right? (Like creating and adding items to a list.)

        • +1

You just have to scan the barcode in the Coles App, or your Flybuys barcode. You'll get a prompt (self serve) or the staff member should ask you, if you want to use the discount or save it for later.

  • +23

Don't cancel straight away or you'll only get 1 month free

    • +1

Well that answers my question lol thanks I’ll set a reminder to cancel later ig

    • +2

So no issues with cancelling in month 3 then?

      • Dunno. The way I read the T&Cs "cancelling your membership will void this offer" means that you get charged $21 if you cancel in 3 months time. Maybe I'm interpreting it incorrectly?

  • +1

Upon adding card it asks for $19 payment monthly even after adding promo. Is that refunded straight awY?

    • same here, from my understanding it shouldn't charge anything upfront?

      • +3

Alright, pulled trigger, nothing been charge to my card, so should be a freebie.

    • I am also waiting for this clarification before I pull the trigger

    • Same, but for the $7 saver

      • +1

It brought up that message for me and I wasn't charged $7

    • +2

once you complete the process, nothing will be charged. Just did mine.

    • +2

I was shown $7 but it didn't charge my card. 28 Degrees

    • You won't be charged, it didn't charge me.

  • +2

None of the codes I enter in the promo code section work for me?
EDIT: I changed 1 yearly payment to 1 month payment and now codes work. :)

  • How do you get the 10% off a shop? Does it work in-store by scanning the linked FlyBuys card?

    • +3

Scan the Coles barcode in the Coles app.

    • +2

Yes, you set up the Saver to link to your Flybuys and once you scan your FB card and checkout, you will be asked if you want to use the discount for that shop. Very easy process.

      • +1

Right - so just to confirm… as long as the FB card is linked to the Coles membership, it's OK to scan the FB barcode to be offered the 10% off option?

        • +2

Yes, that's how mine is set up and it works great

  • +6

I signed up for coles saver for $7 month last year. I cancelled my debit card because it was fraudulently comprised and the Coles plus saver membership benefits have continued for 5 months without payment. Winning! It makes me think that they want to incentivise you to shop at Coles so happy to give it for free but don't want to promote it as free.

    • +6

You still owe them. Good luck , but please don't complain to us if you get invoiced for the full amount in arrears.

  • great sign

  • it says that it will deduct $19 from the card, will it be refunded?

    • You won't be charged, it didn't charge me.

  • Thanks OP. I now have 3 months of Plus Saver (have previously had it through a Coles Rewards Mastercard freebie offer) and now have 4 months of Plus (1 month free trial + 3 months free)!

    • How do you get the free trial and then add the 3 months free?

      • It was done automatically for me. It said I start a 1 month free trial, and after entering the code, it says at the end of my free trial, I will be charged $0.00

  • So, according to T&C, you can activate the one-month trial and use the codes too. Does anyone know how that works? Do you put in the code while applying for the trial?

    • +3

Mine auto-applied after I put in the code from OP. I didn't do anything else or add the 1 month free trial, was just there.

Basically said: "You will be charged $19/month after 1 month free trial and 3 months free trial promotion code ends".

      Email confirms it:
Your free trial period runs until Jun 14, 2025. Then, you'll receive 100% off your next 3 monthly payments.~

      • Cheers!

  • Now next question for most of us :)
If we cancel membership now, will it still remain active for 4 months or just one month?

    • +3

You will lose all benefits after the current month. Set a reminder for a couple of days before the paid renewal starts to cancel.

  • +21

One thing I feel like ALDI gets right is no loyalty card BS.

    • +5

      yet

      • +1

They started a trial a year ago in Belgium

    • +7

But charges a fee to use credit card

      • If they're upfront & transparent with passing-on an external cost, I see no problem with it.

  • +2

Thanks… bit of a pain setting it up, and the two memberships are nonsensical but I'll take my ~$15-$20 savings.

  • +2

Thanks for joining our subscription service, Coles Plus. Your promotion has been redeemed.

Your free trial period runs until Jun 14, 2025. Then, you'll receive 100% off your next 3 monthly payments.~

    The Coles team

Thanks op. So basically it's 4 months free

    • I should have read your reply before signing up, lost one free month :(

      • I don't see what you should have done differently?

    • How??

    • I signed up for the 1 month without putting in the code, thought I had to do it after. Am I doomed or is there a way to now redeem the 3 months?

  • +6

Anyone worrying about $19 charge upfront, nothing been charged to my cards after I confirm the subs. So safe to do so.

    • Thanks! that's the answer I'm looking for.

  • +1

Lovely offer Coles and OP - but nuh I'm not agreeing to pay the $19 asked for upon signing up - when the deal offered is clearly for 1 month trial + 3 months free. Tricky Coles. I'll spend endless minutes of my time seeking a $19 refund. No deal for me.

I know Coles well, given the issues I've had in the past with their sometimes erroneous billing system and the brainpower wasted trying to get them to sort things out.

    • +1

You won't get charged i was in the same situation. It will came up as $0 in your bank account.

      • Is it just an authorisation?

        • +2

That's what i assume and you won’t get charge at all.

  • Where can you see the date your membership is valid until? I must be blind as can't see it in the manage Coles Plus section. Trying to see if they gave me 1 month free trial and then stacked another 3 months on top.

    • +1

      It's in the confirmation email.

Your free trial period runs until Jun 14, 2025. Then, you'll receive 100% off your next 3 monthly payments.~

      • +1

        My Email is different, just says the below;

        You redeemed a promotion!

        You'll receive 100% off your next 3 monthly payments~

        • Did you use the free trial before?

          • @team teri: That’s possible , not sure how to check

            • @strikerzebra: Search old emails. But why else would they send a different confirmation to you?

              • @team teri: I've got the same mail, with no expiry date. Never signed up earlier

                • @agrwlvipul: So weird. Maybe you signed up using a different link to me?

I got to the link where it offered the free trial, then I entered the discount code and got the free trial + 3 months 100% discount.

I had to set 2 reminders to cancel. Coles Plus in 3 months and a few days. Coles Plus Saver in 2 months and a few days.

  • +1

When using the 10% off in-store do you have a choice whether to claim it or not for that shop?

    • +5

Yes there will be a prompt on the checkout screen

    • looks like you have to manually scan a barcode in the coles app to redeem it

      • +3

You can also use your flybuys barcode

        • oh that's good, makes life easier

  • thank you, claimed both

  • +2

Do they literally have 2 different subs here? WTAF

    • +3

It's something you can completely ignore or take advantage of… No reason to be unhappy to have more options

    • +4

One (Coles Plus) is aimed towards those who shop online most, and the other (Coles Plus Saver) is aimed at those who shop in store most, but there are benefits in both plans for both in-store and online shopping. Woolies do a similar thing (Everyday Extra and Delivery Unlimited)

  • Aside from the deal, is it possible to get 2 times 10% discount from one month of Coles saver subscription?
And you could just pay for every other month.

    • Only way to achieve this I believe would be to have 2 Coles accounts and 2 Flybuys accounts, and rotate which accounts you use.

      • +1

I assumed for example if you join on 15/5 you can use once until 31/5 then once more between 1/6 - 14/6
        Then new subscription on 15/7

        • +1

This works with two accounts, my partner and I alternate accounts and do this.

          • @mgleds: This gets you total 2x discounts per month with 2 accounts, yes?

            • +1

@High: Yeah, two discounts per month and you each pay $7 every other month.

    • +6

There isn't a lot of choice if you aren't in some sort of inner/metropolitan area.

E.g. the entirety of Tasmania for starters, which has no Aldi.

      • +6

        which has no Aldi.

ALDI pricing isn't as crash hot as it used to be compared to Coles and WW specials.

        • +1

True but at least at ALDI you don't have to play Colesworth's "special for this item this week and full price the next on repeat" game.

      • +1

Apparently Aldi was coming but woolworths bought the warehouse out from under them to block them.

        • +2

That's the worst of it. With 80% share, they're stifling competition as well.

Kaufland (owned by the same mob as Lidl) spent $500m here then pulled up stumps. It was quicker to make profit in the US than fight for market share here.

That's a backhander to Australians and our buying habits, but also to Colesworth and their protected duopoly.

  • +1

Doesn't work, something went wrong, please try again

    • Now it's invalid or expired

      • +4

*Monthly payments only, excludes yearly payments.

    • try create a new account with a new email and if you can with a new mobile number

  • So what date is everyone setting a reminder to cancel both for (if activated today)?
