      I used PayPal too and turned off autopay from my PayPal account. Still on the fence about if I'll cancel according to the email or what my Coles account says but that's my backup plan if they do try to charge

    Same email as others around pricing and unclear in app what will happen.

    I tried contacting Coles via email, and then via phone.

    The email was useless with generic not relevant advice. Even with followup they just had no idea what I was asking.

    5 minute wait for call, then pretty sure someone picked up but didn't realize… Was just awkward silence/sounds of someone moving stuff around.

    So whatever, have cancelled. If this is priority support then I'd be worried what General support is like. And their pricing is pretty rubbish anyhow.

    Typical Coles, can't tie their own shoelaces. When I signed up, email for Coles Plus said:

    "Your free trial period runs until Jun 19, 2025. Then, you'll receive 100% off your next 3 monthly payments.~"

    Website says no charge this month (for Saver too).

    Now they're sending emails saying "For Coles Plus Saver you’ll be charged $7/month starting from 19/08/2025" which should be true, but contradicts their website. And "For Coles Plus you’ll be charged $19/month starting from 19/08/2025" which contradicts the welcome email and the website.

    • I'm in the same boat (got my email tonight).

      I've done a screengrab of the website showing $0 charges for future arguing with Coles customer service if need be. However, I shouldn't need to be doing this!

  • Has anyone gotten any answers from Coles as to whether they will start to charge this month for Coles Plus despite the 1 month free trial in addition to the 3 months fee waiver?

        Thanks @WookieMonster. No I didn't see that post … however I emailed them and I got a response from them this morning advising mine has been cancelled.

    Your Coles Plus Saver free 3-month promotion is ending, and your first monthly payment of $7 will be charged to your nominated payment method on 14/08/2025. If you wish to amend your details or cancel your subscription, please visit your account page and follow the prompts.

    Should you have any questions, you can contact Coles Plus Priority Care for help on 1800 508 308 (6am - midnight AEST weekdays, 7am-10pm AEST weekends).

    I too received the email telling me that the 3 month promotion was ending & I will start being charged the $19 on 17 August 2025. However, the Coles app says it will be another $0 deduction on that date - as I still have 36 days till expiry.
    I just tried phoning their Priority Care helpline, but did not get a conclusive answer. The CSO just told me that my payment was due 17 August 2025, but couldn't tell me if it was for $0 or $19. She wanted me to send a screenshot of the $0 payment offer from the app. I told her that if she couldn't clarify what I will be charged on the 17 Aug, then I will wait & see and send the screenshot if I am not charged $0.

    • Wow, they're unhelpful. I'll wait and see too. Just to be sure, I've linked a payment card with near zero on it.

    • Coles+ has one more month trial but email said both will start to charge from this month, so better to cancel both just in case. coles+ has no benefit except free delivery, more important is to save time without having to argue with such useless support.

  • I am on same boat. Joined 14th May. I thought 1 month trial + 3 months free as in joining email "You redeemed a promotion!
    Your Coles Plus free trial period runs until Jun 14, 2025. Then, you'll receive 100% off your next 3 monthly payments."

    However I too received email "Your free 3-month promotion is ending, and your first monthly payments will soon be charged to your nominated payment method.

    IMO this last email was sent by mistake and what is showing on their site is correct "Expires in 33 days"

    RE: the 10% discount with Coles Plus Saver, I have found that I can use it twice each month, once for online order and once for instore purchase. Has anyone else noticed this? If that is the case ongoing, it might be worth it keeping Coles Plus Saver for $7/month.

        It comes up as an option at checkout, you can untick it if you don't want to use it (e.g: if you want to save it for a bigger shop).

        Maybe I just got lucky because I did an online order and then instore purchase the next day before my online order was fully processed? Not sure really, that's why I'm asking if anyone else has experienced this. The same loophole existed with the Woolies 10% off for ages before they finally caught on.

          It's not applied twice unfortunately (you unknowingly transferred the discount to your store shop, which was hopefully more expensive…)

          If a member has a pending Coles online or app order with a 10% discount applied, they may choose to transfer the 10% discount to an applicable instore shop for the same calendar month, if the online or app order has not already been processed.

    First person

    "Thank you for contacting Coles Online. We apologise for any confusion.

    Upon checking, you will be charge for your subscriptions on 14/09/2025. "

    Then I asked her "Could you please confirm this is for both Coles Plus and Coles Plus Saver Subscriptions?"

    Second person replied

    "Thank you for your response regarding your subscriptions.

    Upon checking, the next billing date for your Coles Plus and Coles Plus Saver are both 14/08/2025."

      There is update on app now, it doesn't say $0 payment anymore. It says you are monthly member and your next payment will be deducted on 16 August 2025. Cancelled mine.

    • I joined on May 14 for both Plus and Saver. My undersranding was also 4 months free for Plus and 3 months free for Saver. Then I saw $0 deduction on Aug 14 so I kept it. Have not been charged yet but the app now says my payment is due on Sep 14. Will have to wait and see. I just turned off auto payment in PayPal in case it gets charged.
      Another interest thing is one of my family members who joined at the same time has Plus promotion expires today whereas mine says in 30 days. So confusing.

  • If I cancel before my 20th August renewal, will my unused August 10% discount become unavailable then, or the end of the month?
    The terms only ever mention the calendar month, not 30 days, so its not very clear…

    • You will still be able to use the benefits until the 20th of August.

      Better cancel the subscriptions

      Your recent payment for your Coles Plus Saver membership didn't go through. This could be due to changed or expired card details or insufficient funds.

    Just had a $7 charge blocked for Coles Plus Saver so safe for me to cancel that one now. Nothing for Coles Plus yet which is meant to have another month to go.

    • Don't be so sure. My past invoices show the 15th, 16th, and 15th for the invoice dates. They might charge you tomorrow

        They said they will attempt a charge again in 48 hours. I wonder when they will give up and cancel it on my behalf. I'll let it play out and not cancel myself.

          • @Suricate: They tried a second time to charge my card this morning, it declined, then I got a email saying it's been cancelled and today is my last day.

            • @melbourne guy: I cancelled it yesterday, and I received a cancellation email soon after.
              Today, I received an email stating payment failure.
              They know how to increase revenue

    Invoice for 15 August was just issued and the discount still applied for Coles Plus. I cancelled Coles Plus Saver ealier in the week as the 3 months was up, so this will be my last month with Coles Plus. For everyone else concerned about being charge for Coles Plus for August, it seems the email they sent out was wrong. The system correctly applied 1 month free trial and then an additional 3 months free after the trial.

  • Oops didn't cancel my Coles plus membership since the Coles Plus portal showed that I won't be charged for this month. Unfortunately missed the membership promotion ending email. However, emailed Coles support and thankfully they promised that they will cancel and refund the $7 that I was charged.

      IIRC, Coles Plus doesn’t give you the 10% discount. It’s Coles Plus Saver that does.

      No free 1 month trial for Saver. So, it sounds right.

      • Except the screengrab I did of my membership did indicate that I wouldn't be charged until September for either product.

        Anyway, will suck up the $7 (have a ~$120 order placed for collection tomorrow, saving $13) and get another order in before I'm charged next month, then cancel.

        After that, while they keep the discounts by calendar month, I only see a need to join midway through every second month so will do that.

        • You should chase them up. It's deceptive of Coles to charge you when they said they wouldn't.

    • I also got that extra free month for the Plus, no charge.

      I also got charged Plus Saver, despite getting an email that I had an extra month. Customer service initially said that i wouldn't be charged, and that they'd honour the extra month. Said to contact them if i was charged. So i did.

      And now i got the message that my subscription got cancelled and money refunded. I'm glad i got my money back, but sneaky of them to lie when they never intended to honour the extra month.

      The entire thing of "3 months free" has been a shit show. I had to spend an hour each month getting them to refund incorrect charges. If not, I would had been $80+ out of pocket for the "free" offer.
