999 is pretty much only the FE version in the US as well, and theres 5-10% sales tax depending on the state you're in. Buying the FE in NYC (if you could even find one) would be around AUD 1700. This offer for the PNY version would be around 1800 if you were able to TRS refund so we're not that far off on price floor considering Americans cant get sales tax refunds.

4K for 6090 may be quite optimistic, unfortunately.
Yeah I know. Hence I'm hoping AMD comes to the plate with something that can rival it to at least either drive the prices down or give me a chance to go team red.

it's better priced and you'll still get great performance from it. I wouldn't be paying $2k for a 5080

Nvidia is gouging so hard. I'll stick with my 4080 until competition forces them to be more competitive. If that doesn't happen then I guess I'll just stop gaming.
