740

Similar to previous deal, though using referral code instead for equal $50 off.

Title price must not include savings from referral credits — Mod

Oddly $1 cheaper now.

Access a referral code via referral system below post. Takes up to 1-2 hours to come through.

ATL appears to be $449

Codes can be re-used by others and/or for multiple orders FYI, it also appears they're not linked to the email entered. I'll still recommend using the referral system and won't post an example code.

Appliances Online referral is not accepting new referee sign-ups. This deal is marked expired because no new referral code is being sent. We will monitor Appliances Online referral and update accordingly. — Mod

EDIT: Users have reported referral system is buggy, though chat happily assists applying discount if you're unable to obtain via referral code.

The referral system on Appliances Online has been repaired. Deal post is reactivated with $2 price drop to $534 before $50 referral credit. — Mod, 20 May.

    Is this thing reliable?

Previous post comments indicated that the filter indicator lights malfunction on arrival and someone swapped their machine 4 times(?) before accepting that that’s just the way it is.

Also read that the filter/condenser(?) is hard to clean or replace?

    • Unsure, haven't received mine yet. For $480 I'm happy to risk it personally if it's only minor issues

Edit: Note mine went to 'promotions' in Gmail.

    • +2

Maybe I’m just unlucky. Mine only lasted 2.5 yrs. The rear water pump failed. Very expensive to fix. Need to pull the whole thing apart to replace the pump. Decided to spend the extra and got a Bosch instead.

      • Mine never worked quite as well as I hoped, and like yours, failed after a couple of years and I didnt even use it very much. I’ve gone back to a vented dryer which I also don’t use very much.

    • +1

I can categorically say it will not last you more than 5.
I have had Bosch (the best imo)
      Electrolux
      Hisense

      Avoid LG Samsung Cliq esttao

    • Think that was me you're referring to.
I've come to terms with the filter light being on.

The filter does get full relatively quickly but I have nothing to compare it to. I have to clean it every cycle, 2 at most (not sure if normal)
The bottom hatch filter also gets pretty dirty too. I'm gonna try getting a filter suggested by someone below and see if that helps.

Overall, dryer does the job and for this price I can't really complain i guess.
Appliance Online have also been excellent to deal with

  • I tried this after missing out on the last deal, but my referral code never came through. Have others had more success?

    • Mine came through after 1-2 hours

  • Codes are reusable and can be re-used by others and/or over multiple orders FYI

Submitted a report to mods asking if I can add a code (the $50 referee receives is useless anyway - they could simply request a referral code using someone else's link for the same amount)

    • +1

Referral link not working for me. When i enter details get an error msg.

  • Interestingly, I went to the other deal, but received this price. Might have been a currency change and a small price update.

  • Got mine 3 weeks ago for $479 with referral, referral came through pretty much instantly

    • How's it going?

How to get a referral code?

  • I have had this since this year and it's still going strong. My first heat pump dryer.

  • Ordered when the last deal was posted, contacted them to ask for delivery, said its on back order and the stock coming at the end of next week then they'll start delivery.

thank you so much for sharing this info, I had no idea about this scheme

      • +1

Free money! 👍🏼 Always happy to share

Have had mine for about 6 months it's been great, use it about 4x a week.It was starting to steam up the laundry which i found strange, in the last post i read about cleaning the condensor, popped open the little door, it was 100% clogged with lint, working great again now!

  • Our dryer just died, torn weather to get an energy sucking dryer or hp as I currently get a free electricity period each day. Thoughts?

One question, our space is fairly small, it should fit ok but anyone know how much clearance it needs? Thx

    • Go old school and save the money for beers, especially if using free solar/electricity during the day.

I was going to grab this the last time it was posted but I wanted something I could mount on the wall.

    • @captain hinds - Heat pumps will dump less moisture in your space if that's a concern. Might be worth considering that free electricity periods could always stop being offered.

      • Good points and also thinking we tend to need dryer when there is no solar

  • +1

Got one of these from the previous deal and when it arrived it had a scuff mark on it and received an additional $40 off. After I used some “pink stuff” and it came right off 👍

Btw so far so good, excellent value! Definitely worth cleaning the lint collector every time, catches quite a lot. Dried sheets and had them go inside of each other multiple times causing them not to dry properly, assuming this happens with all driers tho

Tried this but got a something went wrong message. Anything I'm doing wrong?

  • +1

We have a haier washer and is not stackable, can anyone recommend a stacking kit? Or the stacking mats appliances online sell?

  • My clothes are always slightly damp using this dryer.

    Have it on intensive.

    Any tips

    • Ensure the room it's in is warm as it's pulling heat from the air (ie definitely not for outdoor use)
It does take longer than a standard dryer

In colder months, I usually hang up clothes on clothes hangers immediately and leave them to finish drying in wardrobe (they're more than dry enough for that + means no ironing)

  • On backorder? Earliest free delivery is 28 June. Can it be wall mounted?

    • +2

      It's ~40kg and can't be wall mounted.

      • Thank you. Need to wall mount or at least place on top of washing machine. I have no space in the laundry and current dryer is wall mounted.

        • The simplest solution would be to have some padding between the dryer and the washing machine.

I was unable to stack the dryer on top of my washing machine because the despite the dryer being lighter, its footprint is larger. I bought a Britec EcoStand and placed the dryer on that.

          • @sween64: How did you lift the 40kg dryer over the stand? it is easy to carry 40kg dumbbell, but the dryer is ….

    • Must be backorder unless you live in a unique location, it appeared to be Friday deliveries where I live and next Friday had availability when I ordered

      • +2

They're OOS in NSW. Supplier bringing in two hundred units next week. I rang and asked about the long wait times.

  • Maybe not the right place to ask but any recommendations for the Bosch heat pump dryers?

  • +1

Here is a code im not using if anyone wants to stack with the deal above pls reply when used 👍

    • 👍 thanks

    • The referral code is $50 off and isn't stackable

  • Hi, can I place it on top of my washing machine.

    • Nothing in manual say it can't be, the specs on site say it's not wall mountable for some reason though

  • I've had one for 3 years now, i have had 0 issues with mine in that period. Cleaning the condenser can be a little difficult with a stiff brush and vacuum or just hit it with 90PSI from a compressor for 3 seconds and it is "as new".

  • Got something went wrong when I entered my details

  • Help! Can't generate referral code. Something went wrong

  • +1

Bought one of these around 2.5 years ago, still going strong with light to moderate use (1-2 times a week). Very happy with the energy consumption and the quality is good enough.

Only issue was the delivery, Winning Appliances is the delivery partner for Appliances Online in Melbourne (they were at least at the time of my delivery). The first delivery they made, they tried to delivery the incorrect machine, the 2nd delivery, the left deep scratches in my floor from dragging the box around on the hardwood flooring. After some back and fourth, Winning paid for the majority of the floor to be replaced.

  • Hi Guys - For those that have this, have you connected the overflow to the plumbing or just simply emptying the water canister?

I havent connected it and my worry is if its a heavy wet load, can it then drip water in my laundry if I havent connected it?

    • I’ve got the overflow connected and draining in to the sink.

      • Do you mind sharing the steps for the overflow hose as manual somewhat unclear. I can’t see behind my machine and forgot to install it.

        • You disconnect one small grey tube and connect it to the spare. You’ll need access to the back. The manual isn’t great, try YouTube instead.

  • How do these compare to a "premium" HPD e.g. F&P Series 9 9kg model?

    Same drying time?

    • +1

From what I’ve read these can take a little longer, but I’ve never used a better one so can’t really give a real comparison.

  • Referral links are not working for me and the price increased to $486 now.

      • When I click "Get my $50 reward" on the referral link with name and email entered, I get an error "Something went wrong". Thanks for sharing a code, but it's all used up. Looks like I'm late :/

    • Contact chat, others reported chat can manually assist

      Ref system is broken xD

      • Managed to get the original discount at $481 through chat. Thank you so much :)

  • I use the dehumidifier to dry out the clothes in such wet days. I just hang them in the laundry room and set the dehumidifier to run over night (with AGL $8c/kwh rate electracy 12PM-6AM), which works well.

  • Referral system keeps giving me the same one and it says Something Went Wrong when I try to get a code? ._.

    • -1

Contact chat, others reported they were able to manually apply discount

  • Contact chat if ref system fails, they can manually apply discount

    • Referral system is repaired apparently (and deal now live again), use link below post to get a code

      • I cannot get a code :(
It said "Sorry. This offer is only available for new customers."

        • Try logging out, getting a code, then logging back in

          Or a different email

It’s meant to be for new customers only but it let me get multiple codes. Others also reported just asking chat for a manual discount

  • Note the referral system is intended for new users (first time buyers), if you get an error that’s likely why.

There’s reports people have had success having a discount manually applied by chat, but as that’s a negotiated deal then it can’t specifically be posted.

  • For those who have this machine - does the door lock during operation (like a washing machine)? Mine doesn't, i.e. i can open at anytime, and the machine stops (like a microwave). Would like to check if it's a design fault or otherwise.

  • +1

I got a call from AO informing me this dryer is discontinued and I'll have to swap my order to the Onix ON-HPD8W instead.

Judging from feedback on Ozb, that's an inferior product. Am I better off cancelling?

    • I go the same call except they wanted to charge me $599 for the Onix.

      • +1

They didn't mention it to me at the time of the call, but I suspect it'd be the case. Either way, there's no way I'd take a direct swap or $599 for the Onix as its goes sub $400 periodically

        • Direct swap doesn’t seem like a shocking deal. Onix 8 energy stars, Essato 7. Similar price..

    • @hippocrit @Hellfire I just got the same call.
This is after me calling them every week since day one. I'm really disappointed in their cs. They offered me the same also.
What did you do? Cancel or take the Onix (at no extra cost)?

      • +1

I cancelled because they didnt offer the Onix at no cost. I called back after reading about it here but they didnt budge.

        • Oh mate, sorry to hear.
So you'd recommend going for it? Even though @hippocrit said it goes sub $400 periodically, but no source.

          • @Lord Ra: I cancelled my order and picked it up from Bunnings for 589.

I should probably hand my ozb badge in but I wanted to stick with a well reviewed product from this community.

  • Hey guys, can someone share the steps for the overflow hose, as the manual is somewhat unclear. I can’t see behind my machine and forgot to install it. Do you disconnect existing hose at the top, or the bottom?

    • Carefully disconnect gray plastic hose with rubber socket/coupling at the top rear right of machine attached to reservoir (looking from behind) and attach it to standalone supplied drain hose ( cutting if required). Pull the rubber coupling itself, and not the hose.

Do not attempt to disconnect hose at bottom of machine, nor attempt to extract the gray plastic pipe from its socket/coupling. The plastic pipe must stay attached to socket coupling.

      Hope this helps others

  • +1

Appliances Online just called saying Essato have discontinued the dryer and they are offering the Onix (RRP $720) for no extra charge and delivery tomorrow instead of June 25!

    • What are you going to do @braker ?

      • I accepted it (no mention of cost to me so hope I'm not in for a shock). I wanted a dryer and I can't see the last time it went apparently sub $400.

  • I got one a week ago, when its on does yours give a whirring noise?

  • I got my machine installed. But the filter symbol is constantly lit. Is that normal? It was like that out of the box. I didn't know what it was until I looked at the manual just now…

    • To answer my own question. Support replied with. Its normal.
