Free Google One with 15 Months AI Pro (Gemini Pro, NotebookLM + VEO Video Generation) @ Google US (VPN & Edu Email Required)

4550

Hello Ozbargainers ! I found this awesome way to get 15 months of Google Gemini Pro for FREE, You probably need to use a VPN and create a US google account or try which one is eligible for you , my VPN was on throughout the whole process and only 1 out of 3 emails worked for me.

you need an education email to verify your student status, I used a temporary student email service https://tempumail.com and you generate a temporary email that you can use it once only to verify your student status. you need to use a valid credit card as well for google so don't forget to cancel after 15 months.

Enjoy!

Prep for your exams, perfect your writing, and tackle your homework with a free upgrade to the Google AI Pro plan giving you more access to Gemini App and NotebookLM. Plus 2TB of free storage. Available in select countries only. Sign up by June 30, 2025. Then £18.99/month.

            • @retainer: When you entered your payment details did you enter a US zip code or Australian post code?

              • @xers: My Aus post code
Ah that's where I am stuffing up then…

                • +1

@retainer: Yes that is very important as that is what determines which region your account is.

                  • +1

@xers: haha thanks mate, that worked finally!

            • @retainer: Try refreshing on the last page

    • I created an account on the PC, used a free VPN to connect to Japan, tempu to create an edu address, a vanilla gift card with $2.40 left on it as payment, and it took less time than it has to type this up. Cancelled subscription right away, valid to AUG26.
Veo3 for those who were asking who gets what

      • Yes. Just make sure you choose veo 3 in settings in flow

  • Had some problems with verifying student email but keep generating new one until it worked.

  • Worked a charme!

  • thanks OP! Got Gemini Pro with PureVPN (US) + AU mobile and credit card + tempedu. Valid until Aug 2026

  • I can't get past validation of my credit card…

    • Get a wise digital debit card.

      • Thank you, that worked

  • Did it with a new account + phone number. After putting in phone number and it says you're not eligible, you can still manually verify via thar google ai student offer page.

And then I did it with one of my normal google accoutns, without signing out. VPN on though.. vanilla card, 90210. the main thing is that your account can't already have google one subscription. Just manually verify via the student offer page

  • I created a aws vps us based didn't used vpn. Tested on 2 already existing gmail account as OP posted and it worked straight way 😊.

These accounts never had payment method added

  • Can't get it to work.

    VPN to US
Sign up with a new Gmail, tried 2 different AUS number for OTP and both says "account isn't eligible for Google AI Pro Plan", tried making another account but can't re-use the same number. Any way of getting around this?

  • You’re near your usage limit. Learn more. ouch!!

    Anyone else get kicked out?

Signed up with AU Gmail with payment set to US only, joined family of different Gmail that signed up to above offer.

Was successful joining the family but then got this email overnight and access gone on the AU Gmail, i.e. removed from family sharing.

"It looks like there’s a problem with your family group. It may take some time before you can use it again.

For now, you can no longer access Google products and services that need a family group to work"

    • Same here.

      • Was your situation the same? AU Gmail with US payment profile?

One potential issue is my AU Gmail was already on a Pro trial (ending mid June) before joining the family, so maybe that created a conflict.

  • Although we don’t know the details of re-verifying student enrolment again in August, my guess is that it’s just the email check again.

Keep in mind that the US academic uni year starts in late August or early/mid September for all universities (and ends in May/June). I think this is the purpose of the re-verification (i.e., to check the student is a student for the 25-26 academic year).

  • Thanks Op.

  • Just managed to subscribe with my Edu account from HongKong.
here is how I work it out:

    0) use VPN to US
    1) create a google account with the edu email
    2) use a fake US address
    3) use AU Phone number +61- is ok, play safe, don't use one which is registered
    4) credit card I use a debit card created in zeller in AU.
    5) haven't added my own email yet. guess as previous comment mentioned, needa add US payment profile and delete AU payment profile before adding. (24Hr waiting time)

  • when entering my credit card details i got charge firstly AUD0.00 and then AUD1.56. why is that? i will keep monitoring it as it is pending at the moment.

by the way it worked and i got Google One in the end but just got charged a small amount onto my credit card.

    • The 2nd account used another card. No charge this time.

      Strange :D

This is incredible, thank you OP. I followed instructions from jesuswept and it worked first go 👏
Can this be entered into some sort of OzBargain deal of the year award? 🏆

Some notes to help ensure it'll work first go:
    * I got the "not eligible" message after creating my US account; like others said, I waited a minute, hit refresh, then I could continue
    * I used my Aus phone number used on my main google account for OTP; worked fine
    * Paypal won't work; use a credit/debit card. Can be AUS card
    * At the payment info, put in a US zip code not an Aus zip code

  • Can someone kindly confirm if they see the free subscription details on their account after signing up? I successfully signed up, but when I check my account, it doesn’t mention the 15 months free offer — it only shows the billing amount for next month. Is this the same for everyone?

By the way, thank you OP for sharing!

=== All good, found it. can check payments and subcriptions at google play.
If you cant find it via desktop browser, just try to click cancel, and follow screen instruction and you will see it.

  • used VPN, created us gmail, signed up, doesn't ask for edu email or credit card or address and says Pro next to my profile. What am I doing right/wrong?

    • Did you have to enter a AU number upon creating the US Gmail account?

  • For those who subsribed to this for the 2TB google drive storage, what'a your plan after 15 months?

    • To get access my 2TB files permanent via sharing to my main 15 GB google account 😋

      • Thank you for the enlightenment!

Are the files considered "permanent" after the 15 month mark, though cannot upload further but the content can still be accessed?

Another dumb question…I believe sharing to main google account is like sharing a google photo folder but instead you put "everything" in a folder and share it that way?

  • "You’ve reached your video generation limit" (Veo 3)

I tested 2 videos, then tried another 2. Those 2 failed because of copyright or something. The limit said will be lifted May 30, then June 3 now June 9. Keeps getting bumped. What gives?

Has anyone created a family group to share the Gemini AI Pro access to other family members?
    Anything to look out for?

    1. Use US VPN.
    2. Phone number can be any even Australian (use your spouse, nephew, aunt whatever if yours says 'used too many times')
    3. Payment method can be revolut or wise card. Put the postcode/address as any US one (Don't put Australian otherwise you will be rejected)

I have figured out how to add the account to google family.

Pre condition: Add a gmail email to your edu account so you dont have to keep using tempmail, and family invites go to your gmail.

    1. Add your EDU gmail account to your google play on your phone.
    2. Once added and the account selected at the top right, tap the profile icon.
    3. Tap Settings and then General and then Account and device preferences and then Country and profiles.
    4. Tap the country where you want to add an account. Add australia and add australian payment method.
    5. You should now have 2 country profiles.

Proceed to invite that account to your australian family to enjoy the benefits. Remember to check your gmail (or tempmail) for invite.

    • @moleskiI dont understand what you mean my the pre-condition? I have created a new gmail and then used the tempmail account to verfiy during signup to confirm eligibility - I dont think I have to ever use the tempmail account again?

  • finally got it to work.
it was either reducing my age to 21, or the brand new phone number.
