Great find OP! Don't need it but it is an absolute bargain +1

      • +19

Last time I heard, people smugglers charge $5000USD one way, not a bargain IMO.

        • +2

air asia and virgin should enter the people smuggling business then

$1000USD one way, but charge you $4 smuggled nuts or byo food

      • Air Asia has a sale to KL

  • Thanks JDogman!

tempted to book in the off chance i might happen to be in KL in august despite having no intentions or current bookings at present.

    • Jetstar may find itself flying plenty of suspiciously empty aircraft over the period.

Perhaps it's the only thing they can do to compete with AirAsia. I took a SIN-KUL(LCCT) flight for $25 including luggage with AA. Difficult to imagine how any company makes a profit flying that cheaply.

      • Or, this is MAJORLY overbooked and you may end up not getting on the plane…?

        • will be hard to get on the plane if not in same country.

  • wowee…great find!

  • Hmmm, could you combine it with http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/90781

Havent look too deep yet but it looks a little promising.

    • Perhaps, please note that the AA sale flying period starts on 20 August 2013.

    • Not that one, but I got tickets from the last AA sale which does overlap with this travel period. I was soooo tempted to convert my 1 day stopover in KL to Singapore, but the hassle of switching terminals and 2 extra flights is too much.

      More stacking opportunities!
For the flight back, fly Singapore Airlines to get the S$40 voucher? http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/90647

  • Very nice deal, just checked it out.. completely free.

  • i dont see this advertised as a promo, could this be a pricing error?

    • i just booked 50 adults for free, thanks jetstar. Now im just gonna make 48 friends whilst in KL to have a holiday in SG with me.

      • +22

lol at the negs, i was obviously sarcastic since you can't book without putting down names.

        • +8

          You forgot the :P

        • You should've said you booked out the entire plane… Haha

Edit: meh just noticed a similar comment below :P

    • The tickets during Easter aren't $0.00 so if it's a pricing error, they've been very selective!

  • WOW, glitch ?, cause it says "sale" fare… LOL

  • OMG BEST DEAL. I paid $90 for these flights a few weeks ago!!!

  • +19

Should buy an entire plane out and be the only one on there.

    • +3

High mile club? Are the KL -> Singapore jetstar crew hot?

      • -1

99.99% of se asian flight attendants are hot, it's like discrimination policies don't exist there.

  • +1

I don't know if I should book or not. Wanting to book just in case I go to KL, but the chances are slim and don't want to hog up seats.

  • +5

I wonder if there is a "ozbargain-time-waster" $70 cancellation fee for this deal buried in the fine print?

    • I don't think it would be an issue, just don't turn up to your flight instead of going through 'cancellation'.

  • Damn, was hoping for kl to Japan for that period

    • +4

for free? You were really hoping that a free KL to Japan flight was going to be offered to you during this particular time period?

Geez - I have to start being more specific with my wishes !!

      :)

      • Sorry, didn't mean necesarrily free. Sale. Have been looking at different airlines for a sale for that period

  • -7

Seems to let me get as many seats as I want, hello entire center rows :) Might as well grab a few weeks while I'm at it in case I want to leave or go early.

    • +2

The flight is only an hour, it's not like you'll be sleeping during that hour? It's not fair that other people miss out because you decided to have all those seats for yourself.

      • The supply of free seats is likely to be very small per flight. It would be very selfish to grab as many as possible.

      • I think you can relax. the airline will cancel the reservation if there's more than one seat reserved per passenger. i speak from experience (accidental!).

    • KUL-SIN is flown by an A320 which is a narrowbody plane, so no centre rows.

  • Tempting, will be in KL next month and despite keeping an eye out on sale fares to other destinations, couldn't find one that interested me .. well then, a free flight might do it.

  • book 100 flights and get qantas frequent flyer points?

    • no points for stater fare

  • All - please take note of the CARRY ON ONLY requirements and check the weight restriction. I was just in SG last month and travelled to KL return on Jetstar for only $60 in any case including extra carry-on. However, at the airport they were extremely strict on carry-on both weighing it at check-in and if you didn't have the checkin sticker they were stopping you just before immigration (I am unsure if they were allowed to do this but they made it seem like they were airline rather than Jestar staff and asked to check people's passport's and tickets). They were stinging a lot of people and getting people for being 2kg over for Carry on - from memory it is about c.A$ or S$ 30/kg - so people were paying more for carryon than the tickets and tax.

    • The airport staff at LCCT are cray. They're real pedantic about carry-on weight.

      • +2

If that is your concern then doesn't apply to this deal as jetstar flies into/from Klia, not lcct.. ;-)

Nevertheless I had this 0 fare deal from my adioso alert and jumped straight away. Had to pay for check in luggage and visa surcharge. Total rm$53..What the heck.. Skybus to airport costs about the same.. Lol..

    • I would've just take out the cloths and wear it.

    • +5

At least it's not as bad as LHR.

Went there with 10kg over the limit (rofl) and they wanted 50 pounds per kg.

Told them 500 pounds for 10kg is pretty insane, considering I'm quite thin. It shits me how fat f**** can pay the same amount for a ticket when they weigh double what I do, yet 10kg of additional luggage warrants a 500 pound fee.

In the end I just hid my bag, checked in w/o carry on and went through customs and no one cared.

      • +10

Lol at people negging my comment. I bet they're overweight.

        • +2

          damn fatties

    • Should have clarified that it was only Changi airport where they were very strict - KL they didn't seem to care although it may have just been the day/person there. Jetstar were very strict in Thailand as well

    • Remember there are safety reasons for bag weight. I don't want a 12kg bag dropping on my head when I can have a 7kg on Qantas. Plus fuel is calculated on many factors including take-off weight, if everyone on board carried on an extra 2kg that's about 600kg unaccounted for.

      • They don't weight /people/ do they? Plus there's always a leeway, some 600kg won't impact anything very much.

A 12kg bag dropping on your head's weight is irrelevant. A 7kg bag dropping on your head isn't so different. The issue here is the bag dropping onto your head in the first place.

  • +2

    Thanks! Just booked 4!

    • +1

not sure why you got a downvote. 4 tickets is a family trip there unless you travel alone o~O

      • +1

        Nope family :)

    • +3

      no name changes permitted

      • +1

Then it'll be name change in passports… First name: guest, surname: one. Etc…

        • $200 for a new passport, got yourself a bargain!

    • Do the tickets come with PS3s?

  • So you have to be in KL to use these?
Too bad this is not KL Bargains.com.kl?

    • +4

haha, technically it should be bargain-lah.com.my

      • spot on mate! hahahahahaha

  • +1

    Thanks OP
    I just booked a ticket

Is anyone else getting this when they log in to 'Manage your bookings'?
    Passengers: 1 x Adult
    Fare type: Economy
    Payment status: On Hold

It came up with 0MYR for me and I chose to pay with a voucher but didn't enter one.

    • Mine is the same:(

  • 27/2/13-3/3/13 are blacked out. i.e they cost money.

  • -1

Some poor programmer for JetStar will get fired because Professionals are abusing their systems. "Hacking"

  • Awesomr

  • -1

This seems quite cheap but unfortunately it didn't come on a pay week so I will miss out :(

    • -2

      This seems quite cheap…

      its free…

  • -2

Anyone thinking this might be a rally cheap way to earn frequent flyer status!

    • On a starter fare? No.

      • I know you can't on a starter fare, but you can still add on a plus package, return comes to about AUD$65 for 20 points, not too bad.

        • That's the price you normally pay for KL-SIN return fare!

        • But isn't that without points?

  • If only it lasted an extra month when I actually need this flight!

  • -2

Hmmm, this will be a bargain for me if I can sell this ticket to someone else =)

    • Nice of you to lose money trying to make money. Or are you throwing in your passport so they can use your ticket on this international flight?
Change of name etc attracts a larger fee than buying new undiscounted fare!

  • Doesn't work couldn't find any

    • This deal was only to draw people away from Air Asia Big (disappointment) Sale. Once the AA sale started, there was no need to offer really free flights. (AA was offering free seats, but not free flights. You paid taxes & fees.)
I will be in KL twice in the flight period, but this deal was of no interest to me, even for free. Singapore is so much more expensive than Malaysia. The less time I spend in the fakeness of Singapore, the better in my opinion. (Will be there again Monday. Flying back from KL to Gold Coast for $72.)
