Probably should mention this is only "good" condition.

    • Excellent condition also available.

Infact I bought one today from this seller. Already marked as posted.
I will provide a review once I receive the phone.

With S24 and S25 available; this should be the price for a brand new S23 Ultra.

    • +2

I agree and you need to be sure if it is refurbed by Samsung or at least original parts were used. So many crappy parts going around. For that price, you are better offer buying a brand new equivalent phone for that price.

      • +6

According to the eBay page, all these guys do is

        "In-Depth Testing, Inspection and Grading
Every device at Green Gadgets undergoes a stringent 72-point testing, inspection and grading process, ensuring consistent quality."

There's no "parts" or "refurbishment" happening, even though they are selling this as a refurbished device.

        • +8

This is misleading and illegal. Refurb usually means the phone has been brought back to it's original condition from new. These are just second hand devices. I would stay away. Far away.

The brand new pixel 8 pro 256 gb is $599 seems like a better option

      • +1

Hi, could you please share the link?

      • I had the Pixel 8 Pro and it's a great phone. I traded it in for the S25 Ultra and my brother paid the difference, otherwise I would have kept it for a couple of more years.

  • +5

A phone bought from them no longer works on the Aldi Mobile/Telstra network… so they're selling imports that won't be covered, meaning what money you save now may cost you later. I haven't looked into it too much further, but just a word of caution, worth looking into before buying any refurbs.

    • Citation needed

      • +3

Can't give you citation. It's not online, it's personal experience. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus - As New - 256 512GB Black Blue White Glow, still a great phone in really good condition, works well, just doesn't connect to the network anymore because Aldi/Telstra did the upgrade/move to 5g or whatever. And Green Gadgets won't take it back because it's still technically working, just not on Aldi, so it was a waste of money in the end, had to buy a new phone because of it.

        • +5

You can flash these older devices with a Telstra firmware and they work just fine. It's fiddly if you're not used to ROM flashing, but it can be done with little chance of bricking the phone. Have my s7 edge I bought in NZ as a backup. Had the same symtoms as you and flashed with the Telstra firmware and now connects to the 4g network, no sweat.

Google ODIN and AU firmware for Note 10 plus.

          • +1

@nitens: Oh true, I've done that once before, wasn't too bad, I'll give it a try. Thanks!

            • +2

@Zyaire: Good luck… just make sure you have the exact model number match for the firmware and you should be good. DM me if you hit a snag and I'll try and help.

            • @Zyaire: The neutral FW makes the Galaxy 7 Edge works on Amaysim.

    • So are these overseas version with snapdragon instead of exynos?

      • Didn't think of that… If you have a snapdragon you may be SOL unless there's a vanilla AU firmware released.

  • +10

I bought a few items from them in the past, and most in "Good" condition would be more like "Poor", and I returned almost all of them.

Ones in "As New", they are indeed as new, and in excellent condition.

    • +4

even excellent ones are bad these days

      • +2

Yeah, if anyone is expecting something equivalent to a factory refurb, then only the "As New" should be considered. If someone is looking for a used phone in any condition with some warranty, and is going to use the case anyway, then buy whichever is the cheapest. Based on my experience, even using the case is probably not good enough, with heavy scratches on the screen and camera lens and the charging port is usually heavily used, and it looks like they are not going to last for very long.

    • But the listing says "good" is for people who will slap a case on it. If you had a case on, would you notice any of the blemishes? or was it in such a poor condition that screen was damaged too?

      • +1

Yes, you can see scratches on the screen, camera lens and the charging port in poor condition.

  • +7

Stay away from Good condition ones. Its just another way of saying they're average.
Go for Excellent/As New with these guys always if you insist on buying second hand.
Personally I like to buy new off these cancel and pay the ETC deals.

Quality has gone down considerably. I have bought lot of phones from them back in 2022 but now its not good.

I ordered a S24 Ultra 256GB last week advertised as excellent condition. The paint condition of the body was very bad. I opened it, checked it and put it back within a few minutes and sent it back next day.

I'd consider that acceptable if the glass display is perfect.

      • +1

not for $980 when advertised as Excellent condition

    • You got the full refund by returning it? Easy process through ebay?

    • that's just a scratch on the body, it should be fine. use permanent marker to hide the scratch on the black body.

      • +6

if I got it for $200-300 less, yeah I would accept but not for $980 after coupon discount

        • +2

          ahh yeah not for $980.

    • +1

      Yeah nah thanks!

    • +2

My experience, too. I complained (the phone was marked as "as new" condition, however had scratches on the screen, marks on body and Sim card tray was damaged); was disappointed when they responded "the phone are not new condition".

Settled for a partial refund as I couldn't be bothered waiting and need a replacement phone. Will trade this one in (Z fold 6) when the new fold is announced.

TLDR - their quality had dropped from my experience, too. If I had their "as new condition", I would have to see what "good" looks like.

    • +1

      Thanks for sharing with us.

      Bullet dodged.

    • +2

That looks pretty awful for an "excellent condition" phone.

It looks like they painted or used a sharpie to cover up the scratches around the bezel or something lol

  • +2

I previously bought from this Seller and my experience was very good. But based on the comments here appears that the quality has decreased. I bought a one myself yesterday where the seller advertised as "Excellent" condition. When phone arrives I will write a review here for the benefit of others.
I usually buy from Mobile Federation eBay store for my family. They never let me down. Unfortunately they don't have any discounts at the moment.

    • does mobile federation often run discounts? I have good experience with them too.

  • +1

Just arrived, its in pretty bad condition. Small scratches all over the screen, top and bottom frame has dings, and the phone doesn't charge with a liquid warning.

    • +1

You should return it. They have 30 days money back guarantee.

      • +1

Yea bought 3 phones.. One phone had burnin, other was heavily used but as described, 3rd phone flawless iph from japan

  • Mine delivered today. In very good condition. No visible scratches or marks. Looks really awesome. They also send a $39 Boost mobile pre paid SIM as a free gift. But I don't need it.

Guess I am lucky. I bought "Excellent" condition though. By looking at the reviews we should only purchase Excellent/As new/ Pristine condition phones.
