I downloaded a pdf copy from the ABN register search and uploaded the same in both sections. Was approved after about 8-9 hours.

    • +2

I didn't upload anything and just waited. Took almost 24 hours but I'm now verified and also received the 30% off email.

as far as I can tell, the whole videogame category is excluded, including carry cases etc.

    Approved! Now what to buy

Same! Not sure what to buy…

For anyone having difficulty with account conversion vs merging, try signing up on desktop. The app would only let me convert, but on desktop it gave me the option to merge (like OP).

    • looks like not an option even on desktop now it show convert only.

"It looks like this email is being used for a personal account. To continue, use a different email for your Amazon Business account. "

      • Are you using your own domain? I had to change my personal account email from my own domain to a gmail.

Then I could sign up and merge, but I can't change back. Any email at my domain gives an error that "This email address can’t be used with Amazon Business." when I try to change it.

Business live chat wasn't much help, they said they would forward it to the right team who would contact me. Just got an email from them with standard instructions on how to change your email, and maybe even less helpful "If you encounter any errors during this process, please take a screenshot and contact us by phone so our team can manually assist you. This specific team is only available by phone."

The offer also stacks with subscribe & save discounts!

  • someone tell me waht to buy haha

    • Same. Was looking at some am5 itx motherboards. But no luck.

Can someone tell me what to get?

      • considering one of the N150 mini pcs..

  • Can't we access gift card balance of personal account in business account? Bummer, if we can't.

    • @ScribbleSass Yes you can, it carries over.

      • I checked with customer care. You can only if you 'convert' a personal account to a biz account. Not if you create a business account using the same email as your personal account. In the latter case (which I would prefer), both accounts are treated as separate although email id is the same.

Jumped on the Technics AZ100 for $240, the business price smashed the previous ATL even without the extra $100 off. Thanks OP :)

  • Are ABN's free?

    • Keen to find out

    • The are free but you have to have a legit business reason when establishing one. And ATO will cancel it eventually if left unused.

I have a dormant one of over 5 years now. Just need to submit BAS returns quarterly (or monthly) with a nil balance.
Now I did have some revenue going through it when it started but its been 5 years since a non-$0 return was submitted
Unsure if an ABN with perpetual $0 would be flagged but I doubt it. ATO doesn't care enough (as long as submissions are done on time)

  • Man oh man I don't know what to buy. Thinking tools of some sort (that would normally not go on sale). Hmmmm

  • I just cancel my Amazon prime last month. Can I still join the Business Prime?
If yes what is the best to do it? Do I need to re-join Prime first?
    Yes I have a ABN.
    thank you for all advice.

Sign up to Business by merging with personal account, but get Prime on personal not business.

Being merged you'll get Prime Duo which gives you Prime Business while you have Prime personal.

If you only get Prime Business you won't get Prime Video, Gaming etc

  • I keep getting an error:
    There was a problem
Internal Error. Please try again later.

No matter what email address I use to sign up with and happening on multiple computers :(

I must be the only one

    • So I found the reason for this was a conflict with my personal account despite what others say I could not sign up using the same email or phone number than my personal account. I had to sign up using an incognito window and then I had to have a different mobile number. Trying to change my details back after sign up kept giving me the email address / phone number already in use.

Anyway I got signed up and was able to get 30% off a unifi u7 pro nice :)

  • Bambu lab 3D Printers now at regular prices. Add delivery when comparing to Bambu direct

  • Anyone else been rejected for the business account.

I received this email from Amazon.

    Hello,

We are unable to process your registration and extend an Amazon Business account to you. This is because our records indicate that this account is related to another Amazon or Amazon Business account that we closed. For confidentiality reasons, we are unable to provide any further details about other Amazon accounts to you.

If you would like to appeal this decision, reply to this email to reach an account specialist. Our Customer Service team can only confirm that we sent this message and help you with technical issues. They cannot reverse this decision or provide you with more details on this matter.

I have applied though, but haven't yet received a Response. Heard about Amazon. Business on the 12th, so not sure how it has been rejected.

    • Same here. Received the same email. Applied on 12th

      • Hey mate, did you appeal the decision?

        • Yes I did. But haven't heard anything back and I'm not keeping my hopes too high.

  • So which accounts get the invitation for the 30% off is it only the paid accounts not the free duo and if I start a business account trial will I get the invitation. Thanks to any response

  • How long do they take to verify the business account. I had a personal account for years and now have added my ABN.

    • I sent them a copy of my ABN details from the Australian Business Register and was approved within 12 hours.

  • is it amazon only seller? or any seller on amazon

  • As ozbargainers, we know full well that some bargains require a bit of extra work. But this one seems like a real PITA and carries the risk that you lose Prime, stuff your regular account, or don't even get the 30% off in the end.

I know it "just worked" for some, and good luck to you, but I copped "Internal Error" during signup and am throwing in the towel before sh** goes sideways.

Would anyone be able to provide a screenshot of their basket with the 30% applied?
I have followed the steps and have an item in cart, but dont see the 30% coupon attached, nor a lowered price.
Just want to confirm it defs a coupon, that lowers the cart price and not a credit back to your account, after the transaction has gone through. TIA

    • it shows as promo credit in the final stage of checkout

      • thanks @impoze yeah can confirm I dont see it.
Have sent Amazon CS screenshots of the page I applied on and the error thats now showing
Hope they provide an equivalent promo code and the sale on the item I want doesn't finish

        • +1

You should see it on the product listing under the price like this or this depending whether it maxes out the $100

          • @bamzero: Thanks

            • @JDMcarfan: Call customer care if you still have a prob… i just got off the phone, they added a $100 gift card to my account as it didnt work.

              • @iWan: you got lucky. ive called twice and gone on chat to no avail. both times theyve understood after a fair bit of explaining and just said wait 48 hours and we will add. might need to call again and ask for a GC. Appreciate the response, will update with how I go

              • @iWan: are you able to double dip now?
                vouchers have come through.

                • +1

                  @JDMcarfan: Double dipped brother! 👍🏽 🎉

    • If the item qualifies for 30% off, it will show the discount below the item price before you add it to the cart, just like on your personal Amazon account. The 30% off does not apply to Apple devices and some other items.

      • ive been trying on the items that others have listed. Looks like it hasn't applied to my account and support has confirmed and asked for 48hours to resolve.

  • +2

Dont see any discount applied at checkout

  • Is it me or not everything is available in Amazon Business like it is in Prime.

    • yep Amazon business is meant to be for office adjacent supplies so not everything is available.

  • Awesome deal, just used a fake ABN. It worked.

  • Looks like this deal is a bit wonky

Got a email last night "Redeem 30% off your first purchase on Amazon Business and save up to $100"

Looks like you need to wait for the email for the 30%. Now I can't check out at all

    • Somehow I can't check out today too. Was fine yesterday.

    • +2

Having the same issues with checkout. Contacted support, they said it's a known issue and engineers working on it and to try again in 2-4 hours

      • Was just able to check out successfully

  • +1

New business account approved, but did not get the 30% off offer email. Any reason behind that, was it a target offer not for all new accounts? Waited for 2 days still no offer email.

  • had my business account approved straightaway using my existing personal account details, and can see the discounted items. for example, the Sony WH-1000XM5 listed at $385.79. However, it’s been over two days, and I still haven’t received the $100 voucher.

Is this offer targeted, or should I expect the voucher soon or talk to the chat?

    • +1

      it's not a voucher.

It shows in checkout as promotional credit.

    • +2

talk to chat, I don’t think the offer is meant to be targeted - I signed up and asked chat since the offer wasn’t coming up at checkout, and he said the email should would be sent within 48 hours after ABN approval

      • Did you end up getting an email? I'm thinking I must have clicked on the wrong link to sign up and didn't use the offer to sign up. That's why I didn't receive the 30%…

        • +2

Call customer care… i just got off the phone, they added a $100 gift card to my account as it didnt work.

        • yep i did after about 2 days!

  • I misread and bought and opened before the promo email.

Now the promo email has come.

Talked to support who emailed business support. Now waiting to see what they are going to do.

    • You can always return any item bought from Amazon. Have done that several times and never had any issues.

  • Looking to do this as well. Can anyone tell me if it works on this item?

Philips Dual Basket Air Fryer 5000 Series 9L Steam

  • Approved in 6 hours without uploading anything - now waiting for the 30% …

  • Been waiting 3 days but no 30% email

    • +1

Call customer care… i just got off the phone, they added a $100 gift card to my account as it didnt work.

      • What did you have to say? Support is saying I need an invitation link to register and get the 30% off…

        • I just said I have signed up for new business account, waited 48 hours and haven’t go the email.

They asked what I wanted to buy and then calculated the discount… for me it was max $100.

They then effectively did a trust me situation as they simply added a $100 gift card to my account.

I used that to buy what I always intended to buy.

  • Has anyone had success being verified and getting the discount without uploading anything?

I’ve got 2 accounts verified with nothing uploaded (almost instant verification)… one has been 3 days with no email and the other 18hours.

  • the 30% deal isn't appearing anymore for me on https://business.amazon.com.au/

it now says Prime Day is coming.

  • OK I called them and they said it's a known issue, 30% off will be fixed in a couple of days
    ¯_(ツ)_/¯

    • Wow, perhaps I will get a double dip. Unlikely I suppose as I have now placed an order.

    • I tried buying a monitor this morning and the 30% discount was no longer available. It was available on most items until yesterday. Chat told me to wait couple of days to see if it reappears.

      • Yes, my credit also disappeared… 😕

      • Not alone there.

Seems they fixed it for those that hadn't received it yet and broke it for the rest of us.

      • Pro tip: talked to CS, 2nd agent gave me $100 GC to check out today.

        • No such luck for me so far. Only tried once but just told they are aware of the issue and to wait 48 hours.

  • I signed up for the business account with a different email. But my account is prime. How can I link my account to a business account so that the business becomes a Duo Prime account?

    • Have a look in the business account settings, maybe the business prime page, there should be an option to link your accounts. They're calling it Business Prime Duo.

  • I never got an email but the discount finally showed up at checkout

  • +1

Yep finally got my 30% off. I was approved 4 days ago on Sunday. Never received an email, but the 30% off is there in checkout today.

    • Same, signed up earlier in the week, no email, but the $100 off appeared in checkout today.

  • Looks like the promotion has ended…
I saw the discount in my card yesterday (didn't go ahead with purchase). Today I went to finalise the order but there was no more discount!
Amazon Business front page still shows the promotion…

Edit: just saw more comments similar to this above; will try to contact them.

    • Mine also isn't working. But chat is bugged and I can't contact them. I'll try again later. Must be a bug. It specifically says 30/6 was the ending date. Let me know if you get a hold of them.
