    Only 30 minutes ago I finally threw out my 10yr old QCS. They still worked perfectly but were badly dented and the muffs sockets had decayed. Gotta be a sign 😄

        I can't buy replacement ear cups anymore. Have also replaced them thrice. Plastic clips for them decayed and don't exist anymore haha

      Sony dont fit my head/ears properly, so it doesnt matter how amazing they are, they would be killing me whilst on flights.
      Havent regretted my QC45 for a second.

        I'm not saying I should've gotten Sony or theyre the best, the lesson is prices drop an all other headphones. Bose don't budge on price only now when Sony has released XM6 you see the prices all of a sudden drop across the market for $400-600 range headphones

      I bought the xm6 for $532 and the Bose for $300. I sold the xm6 cause they are just not comfortable. The cups are shallow at 21cm vs bose at 29cm. The noise cancelling chip sits right on your ear. Also in my honest opinion it seems Sony didn't innovate as much as they could have. In my honest opinion I still believe AirPods Max still sound better than Sony so they aren't the greatest sounding headphones (AirPods Max for example are 40mm drivers (vs Sony at 30mm) and sound way better). The Sony's just released and dont have USB-C DAC lossless option. You have to plug in a 3.5mm cord. There is just no excuse or reason for this in 2025. Even AirPods Max can now do USB-C lossless. There is no way in the world the XM6 are better than the Ultras at $232 more… They both sound similar, both have similar noise cancelling, both dont have USB-C playback, both not waterproof. There is no reason why these cost so much. In fact the only reason people aren't considering the cheaper xm5 is cause of the known hinge issue. I would save your money and get the ultras. They are soo comfy and do everything as bit as good as Sony. Even reviewers have said the same

          I can only assume thats the measurement across - but regardless, i always tell people to go try them on to see how they feel.
          Sony's were touching my ears, Bose do not - that's the biggest selling point for me as I wear mine on planes a lot and need them to be comfy.

          Yeah SONY earcups are shallow at 21mm vs Bose 29mm

          Last I looked, the SONY earcups were flat 21mm, meaning my ears would rub on the bottom, causing excruciating pain on long overseas flights - after 4 hours, I could not wear them anymore, so that was a fail.

          The Bose have deeply angled earcups matching the typical ear shape - shallow towards the front of our heads, and deepest where our ear sticks out the most - so they don't touch/rub and I can comfortably wear them for 10 hours on a plane.

          Bose always wins for long wear comfort in every comparison review I've seen.

      the sonys are super uncomfortable for me. i can wear the bose for an entire workday, the sonys hurt my ears after about an hour

    Def worth it for this price imo, but don't pay more than $350. I've owned many pairs of Beyers, Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Sony etc over the years. These fit well into that price bracket. $500+ is a joke, but I largely feel the same way about most headphones.
