420

Edit: when buying online Deal25 give you another $60 off making it even better plus stack it with $100 store cash thanks to impoze for pointing out

was browsing for a new heat dryer/pump and went into the TGG and this was on special for $736(plus $100 Store cash) and with price beat option it came down to $723 but the bloke in the store knocked down another $10 bucks, decided to give it another shot over the chat and the guy knocked another $17 making it for $696 . With $100 store cash the deal seems to be more sweet , if your were able to score any discounted gift card it will take another 10% off making it further down .

At least $107 rebate if in SA

$428 rebate if in priority group such as a pensioner or health care card holder

    • the question is though how well does it dry clothes?

$699 after trade in and EFY voucher at Samsung Australia:

    https://www.samsung.com/au/washers-and-dryers/dryers/?srslti…

    • which model is that

      • +3

Haier > Samsung for dryers imho

      • DV91T6440LE
        $699 including delivery.

    • What EFY voucher is this? tempted to go down this path.. I'm getting quoted $749 at moment without the voucher

      • They sent the voucher in email for those who subscribed to their newsletter. I might have one spare but not sure if that still working, you can try

        • It's ok.. thank you..

I managed to "karen" my way to 10% voucher because of their crap TV they sold me that died in 3 days of owning it.

          Much appreciated.. :)

        • If the spare voucher is still availble, could you DM me :)

Are there options to remove an older dryer along with the delivery? Or do I have to talk to them directly? Thanks

    • +2

I think that will be with the appliances online only, but no harm in asking the TGG team

    • Assuming they don't. Put it on marketplace for free to whomever comes and takes it, i tend to get rid of heavy goods that way. Some people collect them to fix & resell, OR they simply scrap it for $$$.

also been looking at dryers and had a few on the short list.

Did you compare with any other models?
    - westinghouse 8kg
    - bosch units

    • +2

Don't buy a Bosch. We bought a German-made model (Series 8). Ours just died after about 5 years of light use.

Repair centre told me Bosch is one of the brands that if they need to replace a part, that Bosch will charge them as soon as the part is provided and won't provide a refund if the part is returned. Most other brands allow repair centres to get a part which they can return if found not to be the issue.

First repair quote was $145 inspection, $70 for an hour labour to clean and fit the new powerboard, and $358 for the power unit (as it was providing them with a E00-03 error code) , with no guarantee it would fix the unit.

Likely reason for the fault is that even though we very regularly clean lint filter, the unit sucks lint and other dust into the inside of the unit shell (everything was caked when he pulled the sides and back off the machine. Poor design.

Purchased the $350 8kg vented dryer with 3 year warranty from Aldi. Would recommend a heat pump though, as this feels like a glorified spinning hair dryer. We read reviews that these are significantly quicker, use more power, although have less parts that can fail (haven't found them to be quicker, but certainly use more power). Repair centre actually recommended Samsung even though they don't sell them. Said they are excellent for warranty and have replaced some units just out of warranty (the repair centre don't sell any dryers).

Have one of these. It's great.

I have one of these and they’re very good! Servicing is done through Fisher Paykel since they are owned by them. Has great functions and includes delicates drying rack which i use for shoes.

    • +1

Just FYI I just set mine up and it did not include a drying rack. Is yours the same model?

      • Same , didn’t get a rack but in the store I was shown one sitting in the machine ?

    • Mate did you mention you have a drying rack ? as I received the item and it doesn’t have any drying racks? Can you confirm this is the model you have
      Haier 8kg Heat Pump Dryer
      HDHP80AW1
      Cheers

    • Very sorry all for the misguidance. I saw the picture, it looked identical, but in fact is not. The model i have is - HDHP90ANB1 which came with a drying rack. But in general i have found the quality of this brand dryer to be very good. I use the included hose to empty the water out into a bucket, which saves using the inbuilt tray and having to swap it every couple of cycles. The filter is fairly easy to clean and needs to be done at least every 2 - 3 cycles. The app is decent and responsive, but to enable mobile app control, you need to press a 2 button combination to allow you to set certain modes from your phone, otherwise its more of a status viewer. Sorry again all.

      • AN1 has wifi, this one doesn't

Have you put any extra filters in?

      • Can you set it to time mode so it doesn't stop drying when it doesn't sense any moisture?

I was also looking at heat pump dyers.i was considering the beko 8kg for around 779 as it has a a 5 year warrenty. Does anyone have any comparisons between these two models.

Also anyone in Victoria get a rebate? If so how, I searched and get dircetd to what look like sacem energy sites.

    • Went with homelab which was listed on the energy vic gov website. Bit of paperwork to do but got the rebate with no issue. Bought the dryer online elsewhere btw.

    • Beko bdpb8010w is very good. I have the previous model and assuming they are much or a muchness it's been an absolute workhorse and excellent performance.

      • I hope this model is as good as you said. Just paid $780 (dryer + mat + delivery) to AO.

    • I have my Beko heatpump one for 8 years now. Absolutely faultless!!!

      With the extra $100?

Shipping is $59 so I guess it would only be $41 better

      • Not really sure ill reach out tomorrow see what they say. TGG store cash we just need to buy at store and auto get 100 off?

        • It's a store cash voucher so you would need to buy something else with it.

      • +1

Yeh ship $59 for me from TGG but AppOnline will remove the old and install the new for free if someone already owned one.

        • +2

Installation would be worth the price difference

  • how long of a hose do the dryers usually come with?

    • +1

I have one and it's about 1.0-1.2m. It's a skinny hose, not the standard thicker one from washing machines. An extension is about $30 from memory. I extended mine with a piece of black hose for cars from Supercheap auto sold by the metre (was about $10) - it works perfect.

  • Anybody have experienced this one too the esatto one and found much difference or something similar in this price range to the oz bargain fav esatto

    • Do they still sell the esatto? I read it was end of life on the last deal

      • On appliances online eBay definitely,I'm sure there's clones under other names too

        • On their site it's showing in stock

          Got the $50 code too

    • Esatto one been working 5+ years now. Got another 8kg last night for $509.

    • Esatto jusgt dropped to $493, but now need to find something to get the cart >$500 to use thr referral code and get the $50 off

Is there a specific step you need to do to earn the $100 store cash? Ive signed up and activated the digital wallet…is that all that is required?

          • @KupoHo: Did you made sure you activated the digital wallet prior to buying the item ?

            • @Sunnyoz: I haven't bought it yet…ive activated the wallet on my googlepay and tried to ask livechat but they were super unhelpful lol

              • @KupoHo: Should be all good mate, live chat always sucks , may be take a screenshot of the store cashback just in case , it should be straightforward forward following your purchase

          • @KupoHo: Once you have it activated and its in your phones wallet. It automatically gets pushed to your wallet after collection or delivery. I collected mine yesterday and my good guys wallet showed the $100 today.

            • @kummo: Do you get any notification about it?

              • @impoze: Yes via TXT message

                • @kummo: ok, mine just got delivered today.

  • anyone know what size filters will fit from aliexpress?

    • @kummo have you bought additional filters for it like?

      • No I haven’t but I’m after a drying rack for it

  • +1

    Thanks OP, Kummo,

I wasn't able to get JB HiFi to match the gift card. While JB would have been nicer, I'm confident I can still spend that TGG credit within 90 days.

I'm expecting $735 delivered (using DEAL25), plus $100 store credit.

  • This or the Westinghouse (WDH804N7WA)? Also has the $100 store credit offer and DEAL25, but priced at $849.

    • I'm also deciding between the two. With Haier I can't see the door for accessing & cleaning the condenser, so I'm not sure if that's something to be concerned about.

      • I've decided on the Westinghouse, but I'm now contemplating whether to buy now or wait for a better deal.

        • Can't I ask what made you prefer Westinghouse over the haier machine?

      • +1

both filters are accessed from inside below the door - see PG 17 & 18

        https://www.haier.com.au/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-haier-…

  • Just ordered one with premium delivery. $761 total.
Estimated arrival is 1st July in WA.

  • Can't see the storecash showing on the product link now? Swear I could see it yesterday.

Edit: never mind… can see it through the storecash promo section.

  • How does this go stacked on non Haier brand washing machines? Silly question I know, but the manual only mentions stacking it on top of a Haier washing machine.

    • As long as it fits, and just get those stacking mats

  • +1

    Just received my storecash SMS.

    Approximately 24 hours after delivery.
