This post contains affiliate links. OzBargain might earn commissions when you click through and make purchases. Please see this page for more information.

Grab your copy of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 or Mac office 2011 for $8 - $15 depending on what country you choose($8 for NZ, $10 for USA and $15 for Australia.
This pricing is only for eligible email accounts with company/education emails.

Also works with hotmail accounts but will cost you $30, because you will have to buy both the DVD backup copy and then add the license (as per ozbargainers comments, plz read thread page 4 and after).
From teh comments, MS charges $15 for the Licence first and possibly charges the $15 for the DVD later after its shipped. It is possible then to contact Microsoft and cancel the DVD to save $15 as per here.
Also note that when using a hotmail email, you can only purchase MS Office for Windows. Not sure why they dont allow to buy MS Office Mac when using hotmail

To Use with Hotmail:

Use any @hotmail.com address and then Program code 05383F4FAC.
But you better be quick before they fix the hotmail bug
Please all thank methos for the tip

If anyone is interested in the pricing of Office 2013, i got it from here

So, how about the rest of the Office SKU's? For starters, the traditional Office Standard will cost $369, while Office Professional Plus 2013 is priced at $499. Undergrads and doctoral students may want to check out Office Home & Student 2013 for $139.99. Meanwhile, Home and Business is priced at $219.99, and Office Professional 2013 runs $399.99.

Similiar to the deal i posted here that was for the 2010 edition

      • Obviously, I'm still an ozbargain noob. Could've ended saving over $20 had I read the comments beforehand.

        • Its ok you got too excited and clicked prematurely ;)

        • +2

          premature clicking syndrome
          get yourself checked :p
          LOL

  • Why does it costs $15 in OZ and yet $10NZ. Bloody M$.

    • +11

More than 95% off the RRP, and still complaining about the price… that's a true OzBargainer ;)

Anyone got a direct download link for the x32 image? Thanks.

    • Anyone got a direct download link for the x64 image? Thanks.

      • Thank you sir, those work!
        Would +50 if I could

EDIT: Perhaps these could be added to the deal post?

      • -1

        noob question,

what do we do with these images? Just unzip them?

        • +1

You can unzip, burn the image with IMG burn or just mount it as a phantom drive with deamon tools.

        • Ahhh uhhh uhhhmm?

Actually a quick google search helped me out.
I've mounted the image and now running it like a virtual disc.

The installation process seems to be not doing anything! Oh well time for bed - I'll leave this running haha.

    • Links listed above … !!!

      x86 image is only 667mb ?

      • Sounds right. The x64 is 769MB.

        • oh, others are saying the download is 2.2gb?

        • +1

Hmm, the size discrepency should be due to it being a compressed format. But I'm 99% sure it'll still work just fine. I won't be able to validate it for you though as I already have 2013 installed, this is a spare purchase for a future laptop I'll buy someday… Hey for $7.50 I couldn't afford not to!

  • If you're having trouble signing up for a fresh hotmail.com address (it kept trying to give me .co.uk) use this link.

    Great Bargain!

I got one through hotmail. Thanks

those who don't have hotmail id and need to create one, use the below link and choose country as US which allows you to create id @hotmail.com

  • Thanks, I got it with hotmail account. I could not see paypall option, anyway used CC.

  • +1

I have been looking for the licensing of the office 2013 and looks like it only comes with 1 license per machine.

So you may need to order more if you have multiple machines
    refer to: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/09/18/office_2013_pricing_…

  • +1

    Diddn't work for me.
After pressing Complete Purchase I get •A product you are purchasing is not offered
    :(

  • Getting an error message at the final confirmation stage that a product I've selected is not offered.
Buying office for windows using hotmail.
Anyone else getting this problem? Maybe they fixed it..

  • Cannot get it to work, got to the checkout, and after entering cc details, on the confirmation page, after hitting confirm order, got:
We are sorry, but we are unable to complete your request.
    The following problem(s) exist:
A product you are purchasing is not offered.
I'm using Google Chrome and a hotmail address. Anyone of you got this?

  • Same getting the same message, perhaps ms fixed it.

  • I can't even add it to the cart

  • +2

It will still let me into the Stoe, but wont let me add it to my basket.
If you choose Add a Backup DVD it will, but then you are paying $30 anyone tried to continue buying the Backup also ?

  • +1

My Hotmail address would only work with the DVD backup option with Safari. Tried chrome (on the iPhone) and plenty of other options and I figured I'd try in safari and it worked. Could be that their servers are getting hammered and I got lucky!

    Thanks op!

  • +3

    server error?

When I choose Mac Version and make the payment, it say this product not available anymore. Does anyone encounter this problem too?

  • +7

I can't even add to cart now. Clicking on Add to cart tells me my cart is empty.

  • Seems like it isn't available anymore. Just tried it out (again) to see if what everyone is saying is true.

  • Worked for me on hotmail, but only when I added the backup media for a total of $30. Program alone would not add to cart.

  • +6

Great find easternculture! As previous posters have mentioned, if you set the country to Australia (rather than NZ) and add a DVD backup, you can still add it to your cart and complete checkout for $30. Not as great as $8 but better than a kick in the ghoulies :)

  • +1

Thanks shab, just done the same, seems like you can't just purchase online and download, you have to add the DVD backup copy which makes it $30 rather than $15. Its not as cheap as before, but $30 isn't hardly going to break the bank and when compared to the retail Student version, still very cheap indeed. The only thing is that it wants to download and install right away, without the option of saving the install file. I would have liked to download the program and install it at a future date on another computer.

    • +4

Hi arisocrat, you should be able to do this using the links posted by eecchhoo earlier in this page (links to both 32 and 64 bit versions are provided), I'm currently downloading the 32 bit version from here: http://care.dlservice.microsoft.com/dl/download/2/9/C/29CC45…

      • Had I known, I would have opted for this, but never mind, I didn't want to changeover just as yet, but its download and installing and I can see my icons changing…… Its stuck at 94% though.

  • Ah damn. Well, I spent an extra $15 for the DVD.
Could have been worse. Just to clarify, does this mean one could sit around and wait for the DVD to arrive in the mail and not download and install?

  • If you add the DVD backup version first, and the try to add the digital only version, it gives this message:

"sorry this product is currently not available"

    $30 is still good.

  • +2

I am trying to add product using hotmail ID and from the NZ website, i get the email but then when i press add to cart, i get this your shopping basket is empty.

    • Yeah I got that as well, when I added the dvd copy to the order it all went through OK. So it ended up being $30 instead of $15 but I can live with that. :)

  • Edit: works still with hotmail :) thanks op

  • +3

Yeah I can't add the digital version to cart any more either.

You can also have Project Professional 2013 + Backup Media for $30 and Visio Professional 2013 + Backup Media for $30 if you use the following links

    https://www.microsofthup.com/hupau/basket.aspx?cmd=basket_ad… for Project Professional 2013
    https://www.microsofthup.com/hupau/basket.aspx?cmd=basket_ad… for Visio Professional 2013

Does anybody who managed to get the digital download know the SKU? It might be on a receipt/order confirmation.

    • +1

      Thanks mate!

    • Thanks Champ ! BTW how did you get the links for MS Visio and MS Project? just curious !

  • Still works with @hotmail.com

  • +1

Weird, using hotmail account, when i click "add to cart" it takes me to the next page and tells me my basket is empty….

    • Same for me..

    • Add the DVD after.

      • So for those using the hotmail account, it's $30, correct?

      • Just trying to add the software, not the DVD, seems that hotmail no longer works..

    • "Your shopping basket is currently empty", is it game over?

      • +1

Looks like you just have to buy it with the DVD backup copy for an extra 15 bucks. Now im not really sure what a "DVD" is but it cant be all that bad.

        • Do you get the product key when you buy the DVD backup?
          edit
Yes you do, just tried it!

        • How do you add the DVD to the order?

        • Try for the AUS version, then it should be there.

        • need to buy thru the Australian site, then option appears

        • -5

I dunno.. $30.. price doubled.. deal breaker!

      • same problem here.. can't add to cart.

    • Getting the same problem as well :(

  • can't add to the cart.

  • +2

Can't choose hard copy for NZ option (who cares about the DVD if you get the product key).
    That leaves Aus.
Like all others, the Mac option doesn't exist.

    I just purchased it.
They display the product key on the final screen and the download link.
You then receive an email aslo with the product key and download link.

  • +1

Just got the DVD version for $30 and got the key. Still a Bargain IMO.

  • +1

My hotmail worked but i can t get the version for mac any ideas?

    • When you actually buy it the Mac version is there

  • Damn. can't add to cart after trying purchasing through us, nz and au site. Fortunately i bought the mac version last night..

    • Yep, it seems only the $30 DVD option is working now.

  • Works with @urbanutilities.com.au.

  • I could not add just the software to the cart,

You have to buy it with the DVD now ( 30 $) through DHL mail :-)

Once you order you also get all the codes and a Download link, so it is download + Dvd for 30 $

    PS:
Sorry guys, you'll don't have to move to pizza hut , Newzeland because this deal is not avl for NZ, only for AU. NZ do not get the option of postage of the DVD. (Maybe because the sheep eat DVD's at the post office)

  • Who qualifies for the Home Use Programme (HUP)?

The Home Use Programme is a Software Assurance benefit available to Microsoft volume licensing customers with active Software Assurance coverage on their Office applications.
Employees who use the covered licences at work are eligible to purchase these Office applications for use on a home PC during the term of their employment.
This temporary licence expires with the employers Software Assurance coverage, or upon termination of employment with the covered customer.

    • If you're not under the HUP program, it's a cheap way to obtain a genuine key. However, it's not technically complying and I guess the next step is whether Microsoft chases it up or not.

      • +3

Paying for a temporary license that can expire at any time, hmmm.

        • +1

It's never really valid if you aren't part of a company participating under the HUP program. It's just a matter whether anyone decides it's important enough to action upon it.

Otherwise, if you were covered under the HUP, then there aren't any issues until you leave your company.

        • The HUP allows for one license to be used for every license covered by the SA. So if a company has 500 licenses, then another 500 can be purchased through the HUP. Microsoft say that they allow an extra 10% to take into account turnover (people leaving/joining), so in other words those 500 licenses allow for up to 550 HUP licenses. They claim that they monitor the licenses and reserve the right to disable the code etc…. Whether they will invalidate existing licenses I don't know……

I would note that just because a license key is valid, does not necessarily mean it is valid for you to actually use it. Personally, unless you work for a company covered by a relevant agreement, IMHO using a license like this is not a lot better than - say - "borrowing" a key from someone….. In both cases you are knowingly using the software outside the agreement, the only difference is that here you are paying Microsoft a (nominal) amount. Caveat emptor.

      • +4

I suspect MS won't chase it up.
The thing is though, it seems purchasing through the Hotmail address isn't really legal, unless you are a hotmail employee.

        • +3

they messed up windows 8 upgrade too. anybody could buy for $15 and they didnt do anything about it. I think its just them secretly moving units to make sales sound good.

  • +2

Can only add to the cart with the backup DVD still a bargain at $30

  • +1

Worked with my hotmail but that code must only allow the Windows version which I don't want. I'll keep plodding on with my 4 year old Mac version.

  • +1

Is the programme code the same for all users? Or is the one that was posted only for hotmail? When I try to use it with my work email @sswahs.nsw.gov.au I get a message asking me to contact the admin…I can't access my work email at home.

    • +1

Your organisation will have it's own HUP Program Code. the one posted by the OP is for Hotmail.

      • Thanks

  • -1

Mac version is unavailable. I can always download office for windows for free anyway so it's not that useful for me.

  • +1

Bummer, seems I've missed out now.

  • Gmail won't work for me

    EDIT: I'm stupid

    • You may well say that. We couldn't possibly :)

  • +11

    Argh went to hotmale.com instead.

Not what I was looking for…

    • that was what your subconsciousness is telling you to do,

  • @health.qld.gov.au doesn't work :(

  • -5

Not a bargain at $30 (already have 2010). But do have a new hotmail account!

    • +1

$30 compared to literally hundreds of dollars.

  • +1

I tried a newly @hotmail.com email address and it will send you a download link. When I click on the add to cart, it would not add any item to the cart and will display a message that cart is empty. It seems that we missed out and they have fixed the bug with @hotmail.com email address.

Congratulations to those that were able to avail the deal.

Here is my + to original poster of this deal.

As per many posts before yours, this wont work, must be Aus.

  • I'm using hotmail, and it sent me the link. The only problem is it's not letting me add to cart!! (but adding a backup - $30, does!!!!)

    • same here. i wonder if its there way of removing hotmail bug but with a troll spin :/
