Hah! They will live to rue the day, and suffer an eternity of humiliation!
You said that regarding the 9800X3D not the 7800X3D.
Wrong CPU my guy. You posted on the 9800X3D deal which is a very different CPU to this one.
it is near $300, in USD not AUD.
Please link to your comment where you said "7800X3D being near $300".
@lorikeet: Ask and you shall received: Link 1 and Link 2. Also bonus true bargain hunter build by another user
You said 9800X3D, stop gaslighting people.
thanks, where is the sweetest deal yet :-)
I grabbed one this morning. Marked as shipped three hours after order lodged.
Is it really worth getting a 9800x3d over this?
no
If you're getting a 5090 as well then yes, otherwise no.
Nah mate. Don’t have the big bucks for that. Eyeing on the 5070ti.
this is more than enough. i ordered mine on the 24th and it's on a flight here now.

What a great price!! Go go go!!!
I paid via paypal with no currency conversion @ $308.57 USD = $469.51 AUD. Currently sitting as pending -$472.18 AUD in my bank app.
(Steps to pay in USD here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/905461)Ah yes, we in NZ get charged more again. $342.49 USD before tax.
why this processor AMD Ryzen 7800X3D (A$472.2) over the much more cheaper AMD Ryzen 7700 A$202 ? (double the price?)
It seems they have similar performance minus extra L3 cache 96MB vs 32MB L3 cache.https://youtu.be/kL4Mpgb-2I8 comparison with 9070xt, it really depends what GPU and resolution and games as to whether it improves fps. I have a 4070 Ti and 1440p monitor and went with the 7700.
The 7700 for $202 deal is not available right now? Where you seeing that?
But yes I agree if that deal was available the 7700 is better
So out of interest why wouldn't you just get a cheaper I7 14700k for a similar price and superior performance?
Where is selling 14700K for below $500? Even 14700KF haven't been that low
Few pretty simple reasons to go for a 7800X3D.
- 7800X3D is on average a better gaming CPU. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys4trYBzzy0.
- AMD are supporting AM5 for another generation. Intel have not made this commitment and reports are they are moving to LGA 1954. So Intels platform is a dead end.
- It's over 10% cheaper than a 14700KF.
- The 14700 is an extremely power hungry chip and hence significantly hotter than the 7800x3D
This does contain 100% less explodium.
I managed to get a Ryzen 9 9900X for $644.15 from Amazon Business, shipped from Germany. The price online shows as $708 but when you add it to the cart it applies business discount and drops the price.
I'm not much of a gamer so no point in getting an X3D chip.
If you have an Amazon business account it's worth a look for other chips, mainboards, SSD's etc.
Was this with the 30% voucher? If so it ended EOFY.
No, I used that on something else. I ended up buying a CPU, mainboard and M.2 SSD through Amazon Business and every item seems to get some kind of discount applied to it that only shows up once you go to your cart.
Is this a safe buy from this seller??
just got one a week ago, no complaints so far.
I got this from the last deal. Got it delivered a few days ago, but didn't have a chance to build with it yet. Checked the serial against the website at https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/SNV-L… and it keeps telling me that the serial is invalid. Anyone else got the same experience?
I just entered the serial for the 7700 I got at the start of the year, and it returned a legitimate result. I'm not that bright, and entered the number on the first row of the CPU first. That returned and invalid result. So just to make sure, are you entering the number on the third row of your CPU?
Same, make sure the 0 and O are correct, they look very similar. Third row
@zachhambo This was the issue!
I scanned the QR code and it revealed that what I assumed was a 0 (zero) was actually an O (Oh)!
purchased from this seller late june, arrived in 12 days.
