    Party over

    • Same here. And via web I get:

Your ad blocker is blocking Cashback

I disabled Brave and blocking, VPN, private DNS… to no avail.

  • Ordered 1, waiting for tracking…

  • +1

    Thanks OP.. Mine tracked instantly

  • +1

With over 1000 clicks, there will be so much uproar if it gets rejected. Anyway, will join the gamble.

    • Me too - not a heap of faith in SB these days but lets see what happens

    • +1

      Oops tracked at $10.

  • Might buy with tcb’s cashback guarantee

    • +1

If it turns out to be a price error how do TCB handle that?

    • +2

@Quarter Pounder If it's an error from ShopBack, TopCashback's highest cashback guarantee would not apply. I haven't done one but had checked with TopCashback.

You mentioned a rejection from TopCashback with a Vodafone offer when it wasn't an equivalent.

It is better to buy from ShopBack as ShopBack may honour if it's an error.

  • Have tried multiple names, cards, browsers, computers, phone numbers but used the same address. Does anyone know if it puts a block on address? I bought about 8 of them last year and nothing since.

    • Try the 'enter address manually' option rather than let it autofill

      • Didnt work, but worked in the app, mobile data and manually adding address, plus a different card. Update, bought another, same card i was having issues with so must be more a browser issue.

    • No block on address, try on your mobile. I tried multiple names, cards, browsers, computers. End up working on mobile device.

  • Are these sim card delivered upon signature and ID? Can someone recently bought a Boost sim from other similar deals confirm? Thanks.

    • From memory, this is sent by registered letter via AusPost

      • I ordered last week from TCB/Boost offer. Delivery by Star Track recently and would usually receive in 1-2 business days in metro areas. I'm in Perth and fastest delivery was the next business day.

        • Upon delivery did you have to sign amd show ID or they just left it in your letter box?

          • +1

@apple0604: No ID or signature is required for the 28-day SIM. (ID required for the 12-month SIM). If not in, the 28-day SIM will be left in your letter box. I also received SMS and email from Aus Post.

        • I am also in Perth. Purchased the $300 sim on 30 June ($255 with CB of $50). I got the order confirmation email from Boost but my order has not been shipped (no email from Boost) and it has been a week. I have the records and my Cash Rewards has tracked so I am not in a mighty hurry

      • I thought it was by Star Track but I haven't bought any since Nov 2023. I recently need one but I can't pay. I changed everything except delivery address still not working. If it doesn't require ID upon delivery I might try my neighbour's address next time they run similar promo.

        • Add address manually and try debit card.

          • @trixieb: I just tried manually input address even purposely made a mistake with postcode and still didn't work. Tempted to use a family member's phone to order to see if it is device related. But hestitate to do it as he has his own shopback account on his phone and I don't want to cause trouble if Shopback detected his device was used to access two different SB accounts. I think I will just pay $10 at the supermarket this time. I will try it again in a couple of months later if they run similar deals again.

Very weird since I haven't bought any Boost sim since Nov 23, not even during those profit deals.

        • Manual enter, and make a mistake the postal service will understand.

Hanover Road, Badger Creek becomes Hanovver Rd, Badgger Ck.

          • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: I tried it. I put a No in front of 80 and then purposely made a mistake with postcode by one digit wrong. It didn't work. I also tried 3 different debit card.

            • @bbking18: I think it has something to do with the ip address. Didn't work on Optus mobile ip but worked with nbn over wifi.

              • @sintro: I tried a different ip and it didn't work too.

    Tracked, but $10 ???

    • Me too! Wth!

    • Yep same.

Can't say I'm surprised. Classic Shopback

    • Same. Grab the pitchforks!

    • Same. The 2 recent ones after the midnight batch tracked at $10

      • And when I clicked through, it still shows as $21

        @gotyourback

    • I purchased $39 sim, but tracked as $49 sim…

      • Yup… annoying that ShopBack classified it incorrectly…

      • Same here, raised a ticket. Let's see.

    • +1 here

    • same here, horrible SB

    • Same

    • same here

    • Me too

  • what happened, tracked, but $10?? exc me, is anyone reported it? where I need report this to?

  • What the? Mine got to tracked as a $49 sim and only got $10 cashback tracked.

  • +3

Tracked at $10 when website shows $21!
    SB never fails to disappoint

  • Did you guys buy multiple if tracked at $10?

    • I only bought one. Regardless of amount purchased, it should still track at $21.

  • +2

Bought 1, tracked $10 as a $49 sim when it was a $39 one. Zzzz.

  • +10

Here is a screenshot taken at 2.20pm, showing the $39 SIM gets $21 cashback, should anyone need it in the future when the inevitable arguments with Shopback customer service begin https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/14594/122667/screensho…

  • Bought two. Seperately But then I realised it needs to be activated in 30 days. Does anyone know if thats 100%? I know topcashback had it where it didnt need to be but then the rule changed and I lost all cashback. If thats the case ill just activate one early for the profit, but would rather not be wasteful. weird how some of these deals promote waste, like wasted sim cards!

    • Yes, they used to let this slide but these days Boost actively checks and rejects cashback for SIMs not activated within the 30 days.

  • +1

Tracked $21 confirmed by 8 Oct. Fingers crossed….and deal suddenly expired?

    • Mods marked the deal as expired, not me

  • 2 transactions tracked at $10, not 21. Wonder what will happen now.

    • Looks like you bought the $49 SIM then.

      I bought 5 x $39 SIM (discounted to $13 of course) and have tracked 5 x $21 cashbacks now.

Check that you ordered the $39 Boost Prepaid SIM?

Subject: Cashback Discrepancy – Order BO62327442
    Dear Shopbank.com.au Team,
I recently placed an online order for a Boost Mobile $39 Prepaid SIM via Shopbank.com.au:
    - Order Date: 05/07/2025 – 11:49:05
    - Order Number: BO62327442
However, the cashback tracked was only $10, despite the advertised offer of $21. Could you please investigate this and arrange for the remaining amount to be credited?
I appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.

  • +1

Purchased 2.25pm. Tracked $10. Should have read the second page of comments before proceeding. Damn!

    • Still shows $21 so you should get that eventually.

  • tracked with $10

  • +3

Just in case ShopBack tries something funny.

    I archived the webpage.

    • Who are you going to report them to?

  • I'm good with $10 cb tho. Still need the data.

See if they will honor $21 in the future.

  • purchased 2 separately and i received cash back of $10 for each!
    not sure how it happened!?
    shouldn't be $21 for each?

  • I’ll completely understand if it was an error. But I won’t accept anything less than 13 dollar cashback.

I’m not interested in the profit. They can only be used as burner new numbers. They cannot be used for porting. I only use these for the Deals (Menulog Guzman doordash etc) that require new numbers. The discounts on these deals far out weigh any profit you make on these and are much more important to me than the profit.

    • cannot be.used for porting? why?

      • @trixieb’s notes:

Please note that letting the number expire and not recharging is eligible for cashback.
        - Please don't deactivate or port away until you receive the cashback. Deactivate means requesting Boost to remove the number.
        - Terms and conditions are from Telstra/Boost and apply to all cashback providers. Confirmed with the rep tightarse here, here and here.

It's ok for recharging each month, but not for me, i port my main number from telco to telco each month

    • Yeah what makes you think you can't port an existing number?

      • @trixieb’s notes:

        • Ah ok it's just that you said they could only be used as burner new numbers. But to clarify, you can port an existing number into this or recharge if you are already with Boost.

It's just the cashback may be jeopardised if you don't recharge/stay with Boost after the end of the 28 days. Unless I'm missing something..

          • @werdplaya58: Yes you can port a number into this but don’t port out till the cashback is confirmed, which means you’ll have to recharge once or twice or maybe three times before the cashback is confirmed.

If it’s a new number you can just let it expire at the end of the 28 days but you can still receive calls and text messages for another six months and you’ll still get the cash back confirmed during that time. Just don’t get it disconnected before the cashback is confirmed.

            • @kdmeir: The other option might be to activate the sim a bit closer to the cashback payment date. Once it is paid out it doesn't matter what you do.

              • +1

@werdplaya58: SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering

  • The last Boost cashback for a similar plan was from TCB with a $3 out of pocket cost. Suppose $10 cashback is not too bad although $21 is a bonus.

    • +4

Sorry but no - advertise $21 cashback, then they must honour it

      • Same, I wouldn't buy it if I knew it's only $10 cashback

      • +1

I mean, you could also point to the fact that many people have already had it track at $21 rather than $10.

    • +2

@summer1 $2 each after cashback for both $39 and $49 Boost SIM cards at TopCashback on 30th June: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/911180

      • Ah my bad. Yea agree that we should get $21 as advertised. Although comments regarding store promotions/ discounted plans being an exclusion could possibly be used by ShopBack to deny them all.

        • Store promotions refer to shop promotions - discounts for SIM from Woolworths, that kind of thing
That is how I read it

          • +1

@King Tightarse: @summer1 That's a generic ShopBack term. Cashback would usually stack with any Boost offers that are auto-applied i.e. no code used. You can only buy the $39 SIM for $13.

ShopBack may have made an error with the amount $21. Cashback was $11 with TopCashback on 30th June. That's a $10 difference.

ShopBack may honour the offer due to backlash.

            • @trixieb: They have advertised one price and delivered another one.
Its 8:30pm and it still shows $21 cashback - they pretty much have to pay people as advertised or they would be in breach of trade practices.

            • @trixieb:

ShopBack may honour the offer due to backlash.

You really think they care about that?
It's like the 1001st wave of backlash lol.
They have cash flow issues, they are under staff.

My guess is they are still here only because of their partnership contract with Westpac.
As soon as Westpac decide not to inject new funds into it and not renewing the partnership, good luck to all your unclaimed $.

              • @AsukaST: I'm aware of the risks and probably apply to other cashback companies too. ShopBack doesn't have to honour if it's a mistake. There is a T&C somewhere that covers for mistakes.

I haven't participated in cashback errors as I cbf. This is my first possible cashback error purchase as I don't mind paying $3 for a Boost SIM after $10 cashback. If Shopback honours $21, then $8 is a bonus.

I'm surprised the offer is not marked as "expired" or "unobtainable". It was expired this morning, then unexpired.

                • @trixieb: If it is a genuine error and they amend it in reasonable time, yes, but if they leave it at an advertised price all day, gain business due to the advertised price and then pay people less than they advertised, they are negligent.
That would be a breach under the trade practices act: false or misleading advertising

                  • +1

@King Tightarse: It's the weekend and ShopBack probably hasn't checked.

Hence I'm surprised the offer is "unexpired" after it was "expired". It has been tracking incorrectly at $10 for the $49 SIM for almost everyone since late morning.

                    • +3

                      @trixieb: Weekend isn't an excuse.
In contrast, TCB acted fast this morning and removed the $39 & $49 sim cashback item to prevent users claiming highest cashback guarantee.

See how efficient they are 😂

                      • +1

@AsukaST: TopCashback did the same with the SB/Myer cashback error too and probably other errors. Credit to TA (most likely).

ShopBack is asleep on the weekends and some weekdays. They are not on the same league.

                    • @trixieb: Because the offer hasn't expired. It is still clearly published on the ShopBack site.

ShopBack are currently incorrectly applying the cashback for a different product. Time will tell whether or how they resolve that.

                      • @wavesgreen: Thought it would be marked "unobtainable". There are several "unobtainable" ShopBack offers here.

                        • @trixieb: Unobtainable and expired mean very specific things. It'a clear ShopBack are applying the incorrect cashback at this time. Will they apply the correct cashback at a later date? Will they bust down everybody who currently has $21 cashback down to $10? Or worse? Who knows?

Cashback companies have always been in a position to change cashback at a later date. Doesn't make the deal unobtainable or expired.
