I literally bought this today for 142 from gg. ffs

    • +3

Try asking them for a $10 refund. Worst answer is no.

    • +4

Buy another one and return with the old receipt. And you have 1 extra day for you warranty.

      • +3

        All that for 10$? Lol

        • +2

          This is the way

        • +6

Umm excuse me. This is ozbargain. You need to return your badge.

        • I guess it's the $10 and the rage?

    • Spare a thought for me - our microwave died and I bought this to replace it for $220 a few days ago.

  • So who are they price beating?

    • +2

      Bing Lee

      • Thats good for us Victorians because we get that good price but there are no Bing Lees here

        • +3

There is a Bing Lee in Wodonga, Victoria. lol

  • I have this since 2023, it's alright.

I like the melt cheese function. Works well with pizzas

  • How does this compare to the LG NeoChef 23L that is more popular here if I remember correctly? Seems like this 25L is the older model?

  • What's up with all the black microwaves any chrome ones on sale?

    • +1

      Once U go black……

      • … you can always go back.

      • … you’re gonna need a wheelchair

  • +4

Nice thanks OP, needed a new microwave and this one fits the bill!

    • +1

People negging a thanks is a new low. Enjoy the microwave.

  • I have the 42L version and it just shit itself last month

    • +5

Want a microwave that'll last 30 years? Get Sharp.

      • +1

Not 30 years yet but mine still does the job. I have no reason to replace.

      • Well mine lasted 2 years and the labour cost to replace the magnetron is at least 100. Might as well get a new microwave

        • Do it yourself. Almost always plug and play with a few screws.

      • +3

National from the mid 80s. One dial for timer. 3 buttons. 1 cook/reheat. 2 simmer/defrost. 3 Start. Only one replacement was needed. The wave guide cover.
It's still rocking today. And a real "ding" when finished.

        • With you on this. Our national died at the 20 year mark and was replaced with a Panasonic (same brand). The Panasonic is heading into its 25th year. Not sure why I would replace it with something designed to fail within 5

    Thanks Op, got one!

CommBank, TGG $20 cashback spending over $100. Thanks!!!

    • must be a targeted offer since they changed the yello thing around. I don't have one in my account.

  • +4

Never going to buy LG microwave. 2 gone faulty within 7-8 months and then process for return is terrible if you have ordered online.

  • +1

    Thanks Op, got one !

  • +3

    Any reviews?
I have never bought a microwave before except kmart.
Is there Any health benefit or some extra functions which are needed in daily life ?
I just warm up the food before eating as of now.

    Thanks

Had this model for about 4 years. Still working, except the door warps whenever you cook something for more than 2 minutes, and then doesn't seal anymore (although microwave keeps running with door ajar). I wouldn't buy another.

    • +3

Wtf that sounds dangerous… Maybe you're having a leak somewhere

    • +1

Running a microwave with an open door would allow microwaves to escape and cook you as it does food inside. Good luck.

  • i had the 1200w LG neochef model, while it was cooking food it caught fire when i was in its line of sight standing by the kitchen bench, my father saw the whole thing with me start to finish from the moment whatever inside it exploded. Luckily we just happened to be standing there at that exact moment, it was less than a year old.

    • What did you have in there that caused it to explode?

      • it must have been an electrical fault, the fireball came from the ventilation at the top right back side of the internal bay, it was cooking carrots at the time

  • $181 now

  • price beat is showing $181 for me

Had 2 x LG microwaves recently. Died at 2yrs 1mth and 2yrs on the dot. Both were refused warranty repair. Buyer beware.

    • Not a fan of LG in general, used to have a lot of their products but come to find their support is shockingly bad. Had to get the office of fair trading involved years ago when they refused accept a 5 month old product for repair.

    • It's a bit hit and miss with their microwave build quality and probably depends how much you use it.

Have this model for 4 years now and still working fine.

Not a big user though probably a few times a day to reheat a drink for 30secs to 1min

Only neg is it's definately not 1000w. Compare to a Panasonic 1000w inverter where 30 seconds will boil a cup of water. This will just get it warmish

    • And yet my Kmart microwaves have lived on for years and years and years. Never actually had one die, always left them behind when I moved

  • great microwave, i thought they were all the same. then i learned about inverter microwaves. what a game changer.

  • Only showing $182 when I press the price beat button?

  • Saw this yesterday, was about to head to the good guys today to buy. But price beat is now $181. Not a bargain anymore. No buy.

Have one of these in our unit (about 2 years old) and we all hate it. the inside door is already rusted and the paint is pitting, the latch isn't working properly so you have to hold the microwave each time you open the door or it slides with it and the controls are just a bit awkward compared to others (not a fan of that capacitive slide). Also it must be poorly shielded because I've never had a microwave affect Bluetooth and wifi as much as this one does if anything is on the 2.4ghz when you fire this puppy up 90% of the time it drops out completely. I'm actually shocked that it's popular at all.

    • +1

Haven’t had any operational issues with ours (owned it about 4 years now) but we do notice it affects the wifi signal when it’s running.

      • The dreaded wifi. Streaming music cuts out when I defrost or reheat haha

      • Is yours as bad as ours? if i'm anywhere in the main area of the house and am using bluetooth headphones the second you use the microwave it's just gone. Even in another room of the house it can make bluetooth headphones crackle and play up when it's running. It's always been pretty bad but i'm wondering if the dodgy door latch is making the RF leakage worse. I also think there's possibly a bit of a design flaw where the door itself has leakage as the window and faraday cage pattern don't cover the entire door. It's no secret that microwaves can impact wifi and bluetooth but I've never seen a microwave do it to this extent.

Anyone had newer LG stuff last past the 2yr mark? … sensitive to buying the brand after a 50" TV & A fridge failed shy of 2yrs

    • +1

Yes my neochef 25l is 4 years old and still working. We are not big microwave users so nothing gets heated more than 30secs to a min.

My lg OLED B2 is 3 years old and still works like new with no burn in. Again not a big user maybe 3 hours usage on average a day.

My 3 year old lg fridge is still working well.

Your only hear people post when they have issues.

      • -1

Mine have never lasted past 2yrs - but we use it every day. Sterilising baby bottles, defrosting frozen food, etc. But nothing crazy. Doesn't do well with longer runs I suppose

    • +1

Have the older version of this microwave 5 years and still going strong. Used several times a day.

    • Thanks guys, might take a chance on the inverter microwave, lived without one for over 5yrs now.

  • These LG microwaves are the best

  • moved to new office and have these , pretty AVG devices

  • Asked ChatGPT if inverter microwaves are genuinely better:
If all you do is nuke leftovers on full blast, you might not notice much difference. But for precision cooking or defrosting, the tech is meaningful.

  • How often does this bloke ‘ChatGPT’ use a microwave? Is he a chef? Can he be trusted?

    • I don't know, but he seems like a nice guy, always polite.
