  • daymn…. that is cheap.
I wish they fly to Melbourne.

Anyone here flown with Scoot before?
I heard from a couple of friends they're alright.
But hey, I never had any trouble with jetstar or tiger and yet I have a friend whose jetstar flight is always delayed

    • I flew last month to singapore and they are the same as other airlines. Just have to pay extra for food, movies (just bring a laptop with movies) and checked-in bags.
      Service is good.

I flew with them before and I have to say that they are way better than JetStar. They use all Boeing 777 and the seats are way much bigger than JetStar. I am very happy to use their service again when going to SEA countries again next time.

    • what I did was got the jetstar $35 flight to Sydney, all up it ended up being $100 return with baggage. Then I can get this deal because it is still heaps cheaper than flying qantas or someone from melb.

      • way to change the travel dates.

        • That's what I did, either!! but slightly different:)
Try to use "price beat" when tiger sales less than $30..lol

    • i flew from Taipei to Singapore 2 months ago and was happy with it.

  • One way and never come bak?

  • is it just me but when i select sydney from the drop down .. the price listed says from $189 as opposed to the $149

and when i do the search for August '13 it lists all flights as $199

  • Only buy from these guys if you're flexible on the dates (i.e. you don't mind departing/arriving later than what you booked).

Latest news is, that due to a "technical error" on their part, they oversold 23 tickets, and tried to get the last 23 people that boarded to get off the plane. Since no one wanted to cooperate, the flight was delayed until they eventually managed to coax 23 volunteers with extra compensation lol.

    • damn how was this not picked up when checking in?

  • Travel period is from March 1st-31st and May 1st-31st 2013.
    Not from 25 Feb 2013 to 26 Oct 2013.

    • no.
      from 1/3 to 20/3

SYD to SIN for 25th Feb is $148. Seats for this low fare is very limited so it is disappearing very quickly.

the good friday long weekend is not included for sale.

Don't forget to book the SIN-SYD flight in Singapore dollars for a lower price ($178 SGD=$138 AUD).

  • Shame there's no flights available around September when the F1 night race is on.

    • Sorry but you wish! I do too :(

  • Logged in just to say Scoot rocks!
if you tend to get cold on planes make sure u wear a jumper coz a blanket will cost you $15 SGD
and the food isn't great but still hundreds $$ cheaper than other airlines!

Totally agree, especially if you're on a night flight with a window seat, it will get extremely cold. Don't be an idiot and go without a jumper!!

Yeah, it looks great on the menu, but when they bring it out to you, you kinda lose your appetite. Don't be lame and think of having a big meal and fasting for 7 hours on the plane - it won't happen, you'll see people eating and you will feel hungry. I strongly suggest taking a couple of burgers/fries of hungry jacks/maccas on the plane.

      A true ozbargainer would:
      - try and sell maccas on the plane for a profit
      - pay in singapore dollars since on the scoot flights, $SGD = $AUD, and obviously it's cheaper to pay in SGD since our dollar is stronger..

    • after usually getting cold on planes i took a jumper on board for this reason… found scoot to be a comfortable temperature and didn't require the jumper. wasn't hot, wasn't cold. was just right.

  • NOOOO

I paid $30 more than i need to!

    • Was just about to post it too.
      "$148? How do they do it! Oh….. that's how…."

For info, I have been stranded in Singapore with Jetstar once, and they really looked after us.

      • When my Jetstar plane was stranded in Sydney the first half of the plane were given another flight and a food voucher for their 4 hour wait. The rest of us would wait until tomorrow they said. Those that lived further than 50 km from the airport would receive a one night's free accommodation in a hotel with a jacuzzi and a free shuttle bus each way. You know what I got? Some more debt for my return taxi home. (BTW They used ID as proof of address.) Jetstar sucking up to the other 3/4 of delayed passengers didn't make me any more appreciative of their hospitality… :)

        • I think Jetstar Asia is technically separate. But yeah, sometimes it depends on your luck.
Given the total overall cost of a holiday, I question the benefit of using a budget airline.

  • I really could have used the Syd - Bkk route as i paid a lot more for that just recently, but the problem is its an over night stay in singapore airport…..

  • Just booked a return trip in May for $325 - which included some credit card fee and also upgrade to "Super" seats. Considering I have a cousin to stay with over there, it makes for a cheap long weekend in Singers! Booked it as two separate legs, so i could get the cheaper SGD pricing on the way back, which saved about $10.
