Lol, it actually works.

you're a genius
Not all heroes
In a 13" laptop, you're not going to get much better. But thanks for letting us all know you're not interested in this laptop, I can sleep tonight now.
I actually like this type of a comment and with your comment following adding context to OPs comment is what I actually love about Ozbargain
Mmm… I'm picky but 55Wh is generally ok. But there are definitely more competitive deals than this at this price point. There were Pro 5/5i deals with the 80Wh just a while back.
But you are doing to post us some better deals we can get NOW right?
No he will only tell you about these elusive deals and tell you to do your own research and then post something totally irrelevant and say "but you get the idea"
Bro was saying you can get a 4060 for ~800 then posted a link to a 2k laptop?
I want whatever he's smoking
Bro was saying you can get a 4060 for ~800 then posted a link to a 2k laptop?
And another room temp IQ who didn't read when I said this is the seller and when the sale around
@marshmall0w2: Brother you can count your IQ on one hand.
Someone asked for specifics and you said "do your own research" lmao
Keep being irrelevant :)
Sigh… Some big brain logics on this platform
@topherboi: Nope. I refer multiple brands of logic. The logic that "it is a good deal because the other good deal isn't available" and that "bro linked a 2000 laptop" when I clearly mentioned in that same reference that I am talking about the seller when it goes on sale.
@marshmall0w2: You're comparing a consumer laptop to a business laptop, they are built different and as such are marketed towards a different group of users.
One may prefer the specs you have prioritised (larger battery, better display, etc.), while the other may prefer what the ThinkPad offers (robust design, better keyboard, lighter/smaller form factor).
You can't have both, without paying for it of course.
@topherboi: Okay, I agree and? Like where did I even make any of that claim? The only comment here where I said something is better is in the $800 deal with the newer CPU, OLED screen, bigger battery?
Furthermore, the ThinkPad name hasn't been the same ThinkPad people known in the past. It's been significantly redesigned and it's not known as a robust machine anymore with multiple reports of keyboard flex, monitor hinge breaking, and so on.

One would assume you were attempting to compare the two by this comment.

That may be true, however, it's still going to be designed better than any consumer-level laptop by Lenovo.
Hmm. With a U-style processor, 60Hz LED, there might be legs in the batt, I wonder how many hours it gets…
You could have a 150+wh battery, it won't matter if your CPU+GPU and display suck the literal life juice out of it and fast! It's all relative to what your device hardware uses and what type and size of your display.
he is not wrong they can fit in bigger batteries, ROG ally has an 80Wh battery for instance, this is the same size battery i had in my 14inch dell 7440 touch screen with the same CPU, battery life is far from amazing (pretty sh$t actually) and that's definitely due to the CPU and the battery size, yes it is a compromise with this size laptop but if battery life is the main feature requirement then it's best to go to a differen't CPU class like Lunar lake (which is what i'm using now with similar size battery) or an Apple M* Air type device.
Great Price! X and T series are always reliable and dependable. Built quality will be decent too.
Good deal.
Can we play any games on this one ?
I am running solitaire and Minesweeper at a smooth 120FPS
One for the ThinkPad fans only.
I don't think this price-drop will bring in any new fans.
Not biting until this particular config drops to at least $748 via Lenovo Outlet.
No. The one you linked is actually better.
Depends on what you are using to define "better".
Personally I think the ThinkPad laptops are built to be reliable. You do pay a premium for this but my child has used an X series as a daily carry for seven years and still finds it adequate for uni work. The integrated pen helps.
Think I'll finally take the leap and upgrade my 10 year old Yoga 460! Would be nice if it were 32GB, but still better than the 8GB I've been running for a while now.
I run 16G in my similar Yoga….it can not handle 80+ tabs on screen. Starts to lag after about 20 And FaKeBooK stops dead at 40. Good thing I hate FaKeBooK.
Ta for that. I do open 80+ tabs and feel the lag. Does more RAM help solve this? Even half way?
It's literally from "Lenovo Outlet" so yes
I'm good at this.
512GB SSDs are too small these days.
Don't tell me you store your pr0n on the main drive?!
No. He stores it on his floppy disks
If that is your concern it should be easy to replace the SSD by following the instructions on page 72 of the Hardware Maintenance Manual.
Meh warranty and landfill. I just don't think consumers should be putting up with it. They know SSDs need spare space to run efficiently.
The amount of storage needed is different for different people.
For some people 512GB could be considered excessive.@mathew42: But for the SSDs on the market now that's not likely - it will run cooler and faster if it's mostly unused.
No idea where you're getting 120GB from. A clean install of Win11 takes up less than 30GB. The page file on my system is currently less than 3GB. And you can also fill up SSDs beyond 70%, without issue. I'm still using a 500GB SSD I bought back in 2017 as my main drive.
How big is your hibernation SYS file?
You can certainly fill an SSD it's just not recommended as performance drops.
They really aren't designed to be filled, they need to be over-provisioned, that's my point.
I have a desktop. I disable hibernation in Windows.
Whinging for the sake of whinging. 512GB drives are fine for 90+% of users on the planet. Not every device spec is going to meet your personal needs.
But why cheap out on SSD size and have all these features that Consumers don't need?
You fill up the SSD and it runs like a dog.
Paid 300 more for the T14 ultra vpro
Why?
No 5gee
Will a SIM card with data from one of the many SIM deals on this site work in this laptop (or in an iPad with cellular)?
Yes
Newer cpu ultra 7
Specs seem like nothing special unless you really want a convertible laptop. Not a bad deal if that is what you want though.
Tempting but not sure if it’s worth $800+ more than the recent Dell grade A deal…
You are comparing a new Corolla to a 10 years old Corolla. I guess it depends on your budget.
Does anyone know the shipping time for this laptop? Do we need to wait weeks or these are built and ready to ship?
its an outlet, these are returned machines so its already built
Yoga series (especially 9 series) are built like a tank with zero flex on the keyboard and no screen wobble. Thinkpads, not so much. But in this case wth is a Thinkpad Yoga…
Typically ThinkPads (Ts and sometimes Xs) are business grade so are built sturdier than consumer grade Yoga's. It's like Latitude vs XPS or Elitebook vs Spectre.
Try compare T series to a 9 series Yoga, the Yoga is built much better using better materials and polish. No competition
even as a big thinkpad user, $1k for a 1080p screen? no thank you.
Sadly Lenovo seems to cheap out on their screens for all but their top-end.
At least they've stopped selling 768p TN screens.
For that kinda money, get a Lenovo yoga – 32gb ram + OLED panel for just $100-$200 more when on sale…
Thinkpads that 'go on sale' are usually unwanted stock.
These off the book sales are from big corporate orders who mass buy MTO shitty panel spec laptops to be hooked up to screens.
1080p 45% ntsc 250nits woooot
Are these new items or returned stock/used?
Pretty old and inefficient CPU no? If you can manage without windows a MacBook Air is a better deal
About normal generation for budget laptop CPUs.
U series are a scam half a chip though. Efficiency ok but low performance.
Good for students/kids? I can’t imagine there’s too many alternatives at this price?
It is a ThinkPad, so it should be well built. You can often get an Acer Swift with a newer more efficient CPU for less money. You could also pay a bit more for another Lenovo with twice the RAM and a better processor.
I think this is only a deal for the ThinkPad fans.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Thanks mate, got one for the eldest. His surface pro died after many years of faithful school service, this should get him through senior secondary. Bought his brother a cheaper lenovo ideapad flex via outlet store last year for $700, its been good but a bit heavy, so the thinkpad for a bit more looks good. Kids love the swivel screens and touch screen for the interactive quiz games at school so that's a must.
Be aware the bottom left button of the keyboard is not the 'control' button. I couldn't adapt.
You can swap left fn and ctrl key in vantage I think.
Picked up a 6th gen one off marketplace 3 years ago for $300 and honestly it's the best laptop for daily tasks.
Best in class keyboard to boot.
Would thoroughly recommend.
Description above says 1080p, but Lenovo site says 1920x1200. Which one is correct?
It's 1920x1200. I think most (if not all) the new ThinkPads from the last 2 years have 16:10 monitors.
Killer deal for a laptop with LTE.
Much better for work, can just pull up on the side of the road whilst driving to do a quote or check an email.
Hotspot is a pain in the arse.
HiExperts, Is it better to buy a certified refurb from Lenovo or new inspiron or similar from Dell? around $1000. just for uni but thats the budget.
'thanksedit what i mean is would you trust a refurb Lenovo as much as a new Dell.
ozbargained! none left.
It's back in stock.
We have 25 left for 21F3XA0400.
Just bought an old X1 Yoga G6 1165G7 32GB RAM LTE for $750., but it looks quite old tho. Should this considered an upgrade?
How do you check stock?
