  • Although says upgrades available, I can't see them. Eg Motherboard

    • Thanks - refresh and try again, options set tickboxes missed.

  • +1

Any deals without GPUs/bring your own GPU? Is this possible?

Either way, thanks for the deals!

    • +1

Yeah, I’ve been wondering about this too. Surely we can untick the GPU or something in the future

    • id be hella keen on this also.

    • +2

Yeah given how bad the value is on 5xxx series………

    • +3

Techfast has never done a BYO GPU deal, not that I could find. Likely the volume purchase of GPUs is a big part of how they swing this.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/911746 - this is still running, but personally I built a 7700 system for about $800 recently (in all white, would have been cheaper in black) with better components. The key is getting the CPU off Aliexpress with the right timing and you'll get a good price. Picked up a nice case with good cable management and it only took me an hour to put it together.

Unable to add to cart with mobo swap

Also what thermal paste is used?

    • +13

With all due respect, if you’re even asking about thermal paste.. just build your own. Take that as a compliment.

      • Why when this bargain is priced lower than the same parts on pcpartpicker?

        • +2

Lol if you're fussy on brand of thermal paste, then your standards are likely too high for this caliber of production - not that there builds are bad…. But drop down box for thermal paste on these builds is "yes".

    • The Asus Tuf motherboard is currently unavailable at distributor so is OOS for the moment. The others listed are fine. Thermal paste is the one that comes with the AG400.

      • Hey luke i made an order for the prev 9800x3d and 5080 deal and selected the asus TUF mobo upgrade.

Is this why my order hasnt been picked yet? (Mobo OOS)

I was able to select the upgrade and pay the $50 upgrade price, so I'm assuming it was in stock when I made it?

      • +1

Any other similar alternatives at the same price point for upgrade?

        Maybe MSI PRO B650M-A?

      • do you know when the asus tuf board will be available again? any guess?

    I'm waiting for marshmellows comment

1.7k based on what approach? Buying each item as cheaply as possible on sale at different times or something?

        • -8

That's one option yes, and I have broken it down by components.

But also just based on historical 4070 Ti desktop deals. However, it is true that inflation and timing matters (we're not at the end of 5000 2-year cycle and we don't even have the S not the new Ryzens yet and this isn't even the 9800X3D yet), so up to maybe +$100 to ~$1.8k.

          Happy? ;)

          • +1

@marshmall0w2: Ah do you mean that theoretically this machine could be bought for that price at some point in the future? Rather than something that would be easy to achieve right now.

      • I'll buy one from you if you can get 7700 + 5070 build for $1369.

      • Could you do a PCPP list with links to parts that add up to $1369 for this build?

If you can live up to what you just said, I will personally wire you the extra 200 bucks in savings off this deal - no joke.

Edit: And also for the sub $1.7k 5070ti build too. Grab us the list and I will either PayID you or grab you a giftcard equivalent of the value made in savings against TF's deals. Bring it to the table.

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16777547/redir

          Follow this thread please…

          The actual breakdown: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16771232/redir

I can actually go as deep as exact components but I don't have AliExpress historical prices. I'm probably still right though.

Also you do know they've done the 5070 for that price right but with the 7500F right? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/915956

That's what I'm saying. I consider it a good deal if they offer the 7700 for the 7500F instead.

          • +5

            @marshmall0w2: $1369 is how much you're quoting for a 7700 + 5070 build with 32 gigs of ram

            5070 retails for about $899.
Assume we snag a 7700 off AliExpress for $210ish

That's $1110 right there. I saw your other comment about grabbing 32gigs of ram for $79 - and how on earth is that? Unless you're talking about used DDR4s.

Mobo + PSU is going to be minimum 230-250 bucks at least

We're already up 1.4K without even the storage, case or cooling - not to mention that's including your delulu $79 RAM pricing.

So how the (profanity)? Explain to us. Give us proper links to parts. ATP you're just trolling n ragebaiting people

              @DigitalJeezus: I swear to god… I literally just linked https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/915956.

Just flip the 7500F to the 7700.

              • +2

@marshmall0w2: There is absolutely no way one could match that build price with a 7700 unless they buy it from TechFast and swap the CPU for a 7700 off AliExpress, and pray they make some of that money back selling the 7500F on marketplace. Is that what you're trying to say?

                • -4

@DigitalJeezus: What in the actual mental gymnastics? I'm literally just saying it's be a decent deal if it kept the price of the 7500F machine but with the 7700 instead. It's a highly realistic deal given a 7500F to 7700. Do you agree?

                  • +1

@marshmall0w2: It would certainly be lovely but there's no chance one could build a pc for themselves at that price for the specs you mentioned??

My personal price target for this 7700 + 5070 (+ these particular components config) is maybe $1369. Which makes it the price of their 7500F but with the 7700 instead. Personally want it $1286 but who knows.

"Maybe $1369"??? Uh no? Did you pull that price out of your ass lmfao. It's going to cost at least 1.5-1.6K to meet these specs.

                    • -4

@DigitalJeezus: If you're on affiliate supply chain, it's cheaper. If you're on consumer mode, you can buy individual parts more cheaply. Absolutely doable in both. The claim "at least 1.5k - 1.6k" is simply not true.

                  • +2

@marshmall0w2: you say highly realistic but you don't have access to actual receipts showing proof and " I'm probably still right though".
it's always people who accuse others of mental gymnastics first ofc that can't show proof for what they are claiming. and no, linking your comment "breaking" down without any pictures of proof, works as solid evidence that such a pc can be built at the price you are dreaming of. you go off about how real consumers will understand but never provide actual store links or show hard evidence to people who are actually genuinely looking for such prices.

        • good luck

      • +7
    • +2

The price could be $299.00 for both PCs and they could comment about getting it cheaper somehow lmao

      • -7

Hay… Always the disingenuous mf… Oh well, actual buyers reading these threads will understand.

I only ask as I saw another post with a number of OzBargain-ers noting that it took a month or longer. I was hoping that the Fast in TechFast is in terms of turnaround times. Cheers
