      • Me too. It worked automatically for me. Maybe because I had already entered the page before.

  • Hmm? is it me or do I still see this deal? Why are people saying it’s expired already?

    • +2

Deal will be alive till midnight today! Orders are still pouring in 🙏🏽

  • I had my order scheduled for today.

It seems to have connected like 11am Melbourne time but i was not awake to test.

Have now tested seem to only be getting 180mbps to 230mbps download and 25-38 upload.

Does look like I am connected BEHIND cgnat despite requesting it off in my support email and also seems not the best as also ping to Melbourne and Sydney server is 35ms?
    +?+

Hopefully Melbourne POP is up soon and I recieve 475+ speeds soon.

Because in the past I've gotten atleast 800mbps with gigabit plan. So my nbn HFC definitely supports it!

    • Hi Mate, Sydney POP explains the latency, but definitely shouldn’t be any issues around the speed.

      • Hi, yeah I've given my nbn box a restart but still speeds seem to be subpar….
        Hopefully it is sorted soon.

        • Please send through your service ID in a DM.

          • @Team Triforce: Have sent over.

So far a bit disappointing but hoping within a week these issues get resolved and hoping to see the Melbourne POP soon within 2 weeks. and then will be happy once the speeds and ping is back to usually melb stuff.

Pretty sure it may affect my ingame ping in some games so yeah.

and again as requested w my support emails please turn cg nat off thanks and email to confirm.

is the adelaide pop up yet as well?

as i noticed one ip site showed that it was an Adelaide IP although most seemed to indicate Sydney.

any others can post their speed test result form Melbourne?

    Thanks

Anyone else connected today as well?

  • just want to schedule the changover first week next month unfortunately, only 7 days in advance.

    can you work something out?

    • +1

7 days is the maximum forward order we are allowing. Thanks.

    • you can have it changed to 30 days - just email them

  • Why do so many people wait till the last minute to sign up haiyaaa

    • +5

Because we need to minimise the loss of 30 days' notice BS.

    • my order was placed on sep 2nd but scheduled for 14

      disconnected from dodo yesterday

  • I can still order. Not sure why. Maybe previously the form was not submitted. Just submitted.

    • +1

No issues placing orders, hundred are getting in at the last moment! Let us know if you are stuck in a DM!

      • +2

Is the Melbourne POP live yet?

      • Any chance you can dm me for a code? Happily pay $50 p/m thanks.

  • +1

Deal is marked expired but I was still able to sign up this morning (15th Sept) - $50 Per Month for 6 Months

  • I think its expired as it shows $65 now. But when I try to buy the plan it say $90. Can anyone confirm?

  • +1

I was an early adopter getting onto the 500/50 plan that was temp provisioned to 1000/50 - currently sitting over provisioned as per Speedtest.net, 562/96. Love it. Keep it up Arctel.

Using TP-Link Deco X50 mesh kit. Tested on Galaxy S23 over wifi (right next to nearest access point).

  • +1

was about to change nbn service…….and saw this deal two days ago and expired already…….so fast…..

  • Signed up yesterday, waiting to hear when I'll be connected.. What's the general timeline from sign up?

  • I ordered on 26/8 for a new connection on 16/9 (today) from Tangerine. Tangerine disconnected and still waiting arctel to connect my service.
So far without internet. Be mindful it may not be automatic process and waiting to see their service team are working on it, hopefully.

    • Mine was set for anytime on the day I ordered on Sunday. Haven't heard anything on the status of it 2 days later, unsure when I'll be connected.

    • Hi, unfortunately if you plan the cutover to overlap so closely, the AVC you provide is cancelled, once your existing provider cancels. This results in manual provisioning as we have not yet enabled port selection (not available on HFC either).

  • @Team Triforce, do we have a firm eta on the Melbourne POP?

  • I think I saw a delay advisory on Leaptel or Launtel site, can’t remember – but the meat of the matter were advising that NBN will bring down its ordering portal in preparation of speed tire update and introduction of multi gig products from last Friday night till Sunday night – only opening ordering system on Monday. So I guess there must be a truck load of back orders over the weekend. So delay is expected I guess.

Booked a few weeks ago for activation today, still in progress. No Internet for the whole day 😭

    • Please DM your order ID.

  • +2

What a mess, first provider I've had headaches with just on trying to get the service up

Signed up 2 weeks prior to activation date (16/09/2025), I get an email at 1am today saying AVC ID is required, I provide it and still no internet 8 hours later.. couldn't the AVC ID be requested some time before the activation date?

    • Called again - apparently AVC is invalid, which I just copy and pasted from my previous invoice.. no further advice

      • There could be two reasons for invalid AVC - what I have gathered so far…
        - Either your service has already been cancelled hence invalid AVC
        - or for FTTP only - if you already have another Gig service or aggregate of gig service, since there is a total service cap or 1.3Gbps on old FTTP NTU

        • All good now - it was the first case for me, although somehow Launtel was able to provision instantly on UNI-D1

  • Not having a great time with it to be honest .

Finally got told Cg nat off. told first month is not free either.

    Check out my Speedtest result!

    • Hi Mate,

Nobody has been charged for a static IP in September, charge will commence in October 2025.

Regarding the speed, there is no reason the service is not preforming, we are getting very few issues around speeds.

Please ensure you are testing on a wired connection & if the results are no better, send through a ticket to support.

  • 3 days since I the date I asked to be connected and I have heard nothing. Starting to get worried now, not a great first impression.

    • +1

Hi, please shared your order ID in a DM. There is definitely no reason for that long a delay.

  • Anyone whose requested an after hours activation know when they might occur?

Have this from the sign up I did the other day, hoping for a smooth transition. Currently 1gb with Buddy, and supplied avc id so should juat activate on that uni-d port as part of the cancel/churn (as I've done previously with other changes)

We will do our best to have services activated on your requested activation date: 2025-09-17 and during your requested activation time: after_office_hours

    • So much for scheduled activation dates
Still sitting on existing, nothing from Arctel

No response to pm I sent the rep, who has posted another deal since then

      • Update to pm and looks to have switched after being escalated

  • +2

Just got connected today, but only got max speed 200 Mbps. Tried multiple devices (MacBook Pro, iPhone 14 pro) all got the same results. My router is WIFI6 and support up to 1000 Mbps on 5Ghz. Not sure what's the issue.

    • Update:
The speed has been very unstable. The max speed I got in the last three days was 300 Mbps last night for only about an hour, then it reduced to 200 Mbps and never reached 300 Mbps again. This morning, the speed suddenly dropped to 50 Mbps, then slowly backed up to 200 Mbps around lunch time. Tried different speed test websites with different servers in different locations, also tried wired connection instead of WIFI. Also tried different devices (MacBook Pro M3, iPhone 14 Pro) and all got same results.
Tried to call the customer support, waited for one hour but no one answered. There was not even a robotic voice telling me to wait in the queue, just pure ringing sound.
Neg this deal because of my bad experience.

    • I just got connected.
      Download Mbps:
      193.15
      Upload Mbps:
      18.94

More like 200/20. My previous plan was 50/20 with SL… I need to contact them.

  • Signed up but running into a couple of issues with billing.
It says my current payment will be pro rata returned as a balance next month, but the next charge looks like it’s still calculating at the original price ($90) instead of the promo price ($50).
I’m based in Brisbane and the speed isn’t quite matching what was described either.
ADs say 500/50 from 15/09, provisioned on 1000/50, but testing at different times of day only gets me around 450/15.
Router and cables should be fine since my previous plan easily ran 750/20.
Also sent a PM a few days ago but haven’t had a reply yet.

    • As of 10:30 pm - test speed got around 280/18

  • +1

Got connected today, no issues, getting 550/42 on wifi..

  • I got the FTTP upgrade the other day, and was getting speeds of 750ish down via wifi (I guess before the mid-month drop down to 500).. Now today I'm fluctuating between 220 and 97Mbps… Not ideal. Hopefully that Perth server thingo comes online soon and boosts speeds?

  • +1

I have been contacted yesterday morning, and everything was good.
But now it's not working, anyone having problems?

    • What part isn't working? Cant open any websites?

      • No internet at all. Called customer service and been told the is an issue with my connection. They promised to call back after investigation.

I think it's because there was 1 day overlap between then and my previous provider.

        • +1

My internet is also down after 1 week.

I was supposed to migrate to them on 18, they did it on 11 Sep, internet worked for 1 week and it has now stopped working since last night.

Spoke with their technical team who stated there is issue with my connection and will contact me.

@Ash-Say: I changed dns server from auto detect to google 8.8.8.8 and my internet works again. Arctel problem.

Thanks, confirmed this worked for me. Logged into router set primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 8.8.4.4 then rebooted router. You legend.

This is not the issue that I am facing. My router is not even getting an IP address from the provider. This is not just a DNS issue for me.

        • +1

          Same here.

  • +2

Its been working for a over hour had to reboot the router if that don't work try turning it off for 15mins,
had a connecting in the router but not device could use the internet.

They really need to send out downtime emails like other isp's do

  • Same about 7.5 hours ago internet connection is only partially working. Facebook, WhatsApp, and Google Search load, but when I click on any search results or try to open other websites, they fail to load. Speedtest also cannot connect. I have already restarted my router, but the issue persists

    • +4

See my reply above if it helps you

      • Works! Thanks mate! Wonder what changed to require this

        • They're probably messing around at the back end. I used to be on TPG and they were flakey as well.

I don't trust the isp DNS anymore. Just set it to googles dns or cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 and you'll never need to worry about what your isp is doing ever again.

This method also can also bypass the government/isp censorship block of piracy websites

          • @Blitzfx: What benefits does this have? It's just for loading webpages right? Does it impact your ping or gaming experience.

            • @slipperymangos: Depends what game.
              Wont affect your ping.
Probably won't affect your overall experience

  • +2

    POTENTIAL FIX

Logged into router, set primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 8.8.4.4, then rebooted router.

    Credit @Blitzfx

    • Can you guide how to log into router?

Sorry I am not tech savy

      • Depands on your router model, check the label underneath, it will tell you the IP and username and the password.

Then try to navigate to WAN settings, you should fine DNS

      • +2

Your router will have an address, most likely 192.168.1.1. It will ask for a password, which should be on the back of your router. It is different from the password to access your wifi.

Once you login, every router's software is different. You can look up specifically for your brand router. But it's generally Network/Internet -> LAN settings -> Primary and Secondary DNS. Set to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 respectively (Google DNS)/ Then there should be a reboot function on the router software, likely near the homepage or the top. Otherwise manually reboot it.

        • +1

Legend, it worked for me and internet restored

        • I want to mention, if you can't access or navigate your router settings, you can also do this for just a particular network adapter on your PC, for example your WiFi or Ethernet

  • +1

For me to be technical like that clearly i should be working there and pay myself a wage.

  • I did a factory reset of the modem and Internet is working again now.

  • +2

Had an outage yesterday night at 11 pm and I called the customer service at 7.15 am in the morning, was told that it would be resolved in an hour. Checked NBN outage by entering my address, no outage so far. Tried to reach Arctel at 9.39 Am in the morning and I was caller no 29. Was promoted to caller 1 after waiting for 1 hour no one pick up the phone

    • There seems to be a lot of fixes going around, either reset your modem or change your routers DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Check the comments above for a fix.

  • +2

Valuable lesson that using an ISPs DNS should never be the default.
Faster, more reliable, and application specific (privacy, ad blocking, parental control etc) options out there for free from the likes of quad9, CloudFlare, google etc

  • +1

Wow, I’ve had so much unwanted drama this morning with this ISP.

    1. NBN service not activated as per schedule because AVC ID was apparently incorrect (even though it was correct). Strange that service was transferred successfully 30min post call.

    2. Post transfer, DNS was completely down as DNS-TLS wasn’t working for Cloudflare ZT nameservers. Had to swap to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1.

    3. My FW spat the dummy as it wasn’t expecting a private address for its WAN (10.x.x.x/8).

    4. Speedtest was 20% slower compared to Moose NBN.

  • I've never made love to my router so much in my life. I'm spent.

How about they fix this? Speed up, speed down. Reboot router, change the DNS, reboot the modem. All the combinations. Sometimes it works temporarily.

    Something is seriously wrong.

  • My transfer today was seamless, connections was down less than 5min. The Arctel rep I spoke to on the phone (to bring activation one day earlier than the date input in during sign-up) was very knowledgeable and set the expectation just right.

I would rate the churn experience right up there with ABB.

Speed 500/50 on SpeedTest was on target, nothing to complaint about. Though admittedly I dont ave anything to make good use of the bandwidth.

I have never ever used ISP DNS and so didn't have any DNS issues others have reported

    • You are lucky. I just activated today, I had no internet from 8:30 am to 4:40pm

  • switched to Arctec yesterday, it worked fine yesterday. until this morning (Sat), internet is out.

I tried reboot Modem, reboot NBN Box, I tried set DNS to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 8.8.4.4 but did not resolve issue. I tried calling Arctec 1800, seem out of office on Saturday.

My Telstra smart modem noting DHCP Connecting… (yellow dot) and IPv4 Disconnected and IPv6 connected, is this the issue?

I also noted PPPoE Setting has default username, do we need to input any specific one for Arctec?

seems I will be out of internet for this weekend, quite stressful connection experience so far =(

    • +1

I’m having this exact issue with my Telstra Smart Modem. Spoke to tech support and connected laptop directly to NTD, which works, but no internet when router is connected to NTD. Was told to contact Telstra (which wasn’t particularly helpful)…

      • Thanks mate, as soon as you said plug to laptop directly to NTD I clicked. I tried skip the Telstra Modem all together and plug in the NTD to my Wireless router directly, and it worked!

My NBN is HFC, it seems Arctec (Dynamic IP?) does not need / require the (Telstra) modem at all. Vs my previous ISP required modem (oooPE? setting)…

Hope this help other who has HFC and Telstra Modem user as well.

        • Have you guys tried resetting the Telstra router to factory settings?
