Loaded up Cashrewards to check offer just now, got this:

Important Notice - Closure of Cashrewards
From 12pm AEST, Monday, 8 September 2025, Cashrewards ceased making offers available on its Website, App and Notifier.

See below key dates and actions following our closure. We have also set out what you need to do to access any remaining rewards in your account.

WTF?? Anyone know what has happened? I think they have been great.

Some important details of which you need to be aware:

Recent transactions will continue to track and be approved or declined in the next 3 days. All transactions that are pending as at Thursday, 11 September 2025 will be approved and then you will be able to withdraw your cashback.

If you have any untracked or queried transactions, please submit your queries by 11:59am AEDT on Friday, 10 October 2025. All queries submitted after this date will not be assessed.

Please withdraw your funds by 11:59am AEDT on Friday, 24 October 2025. To withdraw your funds simply click Withdrawal in My rewards and follow the steps outlined in the FAQ's.

Members who have not withdrawn by this deadline, but have a linked bank or PayPal account, will have their available funds automatically transferred to those accounts. If you have both bank and PayPal details linked, the transfer will be made to your linked bank account.

PayPal withdrawals will cease at 11:59am AEDT on Friday, 24 October 2025. After this date, withdrawals will only be available to your nominated bank account.

After 11:59am AEDT on Friday, 24 October 2025 withdrawals will only be processed manually. You will need to contact our member services team for assistance via our Help Desk Portal or email,
[email protected]

All withdrawal claims must be received by Friday, 12 December 2025.

Important moments in Cashrewards History

2014: Cashrewards was founded in Sydney by Andrew and Lorica Clarke

2018: Cashrewards launched its In-Store Offers platform with Visa (In-store cashback)

2020: Cashrewards successfully listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) under the ticker ASX:CRW on December 2, 2020, following a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO)

2021: Cashrewards (ASX:CRW) was bought by ANZ Bank’s innovation and investment arm 1835i, receiving a takeover offer at $1.135 per share. Later: Cashrewards and ANZ launched Cashrewards Max, an exclusive program for ANZ credit and debit card users that offered higher cashback rewards.

2022: Cashrewards Max Is Retired on Sept 30, 2022. CRW is delisted from ASX in January 2022

2024: tightarse leaves the company after 8 years of employment. Cashrewards acquired Little Birdie in August. Prior to that, Little Birdie paused their operations in the middle of May.

2025: September 8: Cashrewards announces closure. Little Birdie also confirms closure.

    I clicked on an health insurance promo like 3 months ago knowing it wouldn't be accepted… Still sitting as pending for $230 lol

    I don't use it much these days (Shop back is far superior, especially their membership tier which is effectively free) but managed to knock out $1200 lifetime payout.

    CR was great back in the days, TA was a massive integral part of it, it was really really good!

    My lifetime Cashback with CR is $13,805.46 - which pretty much stopped about 2-3 years ago and hasn't moved when Shopback started being competitive, and like now, Shopback are probably headed in the same direction because Ive hardly used their system in the past year. My ShopBack lifetime is slightly under however my CR lifetime amount, current flavour is TCB!

      I had problems with getting my connection and had to put through the order 3 times to get connected. Optus unwittingly paid out for all 3 orders. $1050 cashback for my NBN connection!

    Have just had one of my pending transactions approved this morning (was due in over a month). Watching my recent Nord sub cashback to see if it gets approved or not, otherwise might need to cancel the sub (only signed up earlier this month because of the cashback).

    I made a purchase last Saturday and it didn't track , but is reflected in "click history". I couldn't see it definatively stated, but it seems you can still put in a claim after 7 days, and I guess see what happens! Is this correct as far as anyone knows?

    All transactions that are pending as at Thursday, 11 September 2025 will be approved and then you will be able to withdraw your cashback.

    I purchased Huddle Insurance in December 2024 with a 15% cashback and estimated approval of 1 April 2025. It is still sitting as "pending" and $0. What a rort. That's a few hundred dollars that they don't want to pay out…

        A support ticket was lodged in Feb and May.

        All they reply back with is "Upon reviewing your claim, I can see that this has been escalated to our operations team and they are currently doing a further investigation regarding the status of your cashback. Once we received an update, we will have you notified immediately."

    Not sure who can answer this, I have an order which was cancelled due to no stock.
    It has tracked on TCB, I want to do another order because this was cancelled.
    Will the new one not track with the full amount, as it has tracked against the one which is cancelled?

    It’s raining cash!
    All my “pendings” (and there are a lot of them across multiple suppliers including many for accomodation bookings in the future) are now turning to approved - even some that I cancelled the booking for earlier this week
    Next step is to hit withdraw
    I can’t believe finally on the positive side of something a banks done!

    I only got into CashRewards 2 years ago thanks to users on this platform - I'd never heard of it before.
    Just withdrew $2.5k and Lifetime of $4.3K.
    Now joined up for Shopback.

      Next time, never leave such a large amount of money sitting there. If a company goes bust, you will be the last in a long line of creditors likely to claw back cents in the dollar.
