Honestly you should wait til closer to release, price might drop. But if you cant and want to pre-order right now - This price is cheaper than EB and JB hifi by a massive $1.

For shipment on 31/12/2013 - Final price and release date are to be confirmed.

      The original PS3 was $1000 when it was first released. So it's no surprise that the PS4 is currently $900. You didn't think the PS4 was going to be cheap now did you?.

        The Australian dollar is a lot stronger now than it was in 2006 - back then 1AUD = 0.77USD, 90.5 JPY, it's now worth 1.02USD, 96.1 JPY.

          It's not about the strength of the Australian dollar. It's about whatever price that Sony wants to set the price at in Australia. They've got to gouge Australians like big corporations always do.

      Bought PS3 60GB from Cash Converters 2 months after launch for $700. The RRP at the time was $999.

      Being curious, I rang them the next day and said I had a PS3 60GB in perfect condition that I'd like to sell.

      They offered me $250. I feel sorry for the original owner that desperately needed cash.

    Shouldn't be more than 800 IMHO. Not a bargain in anyway, besides DSE will probably be closed before PS4 is released lol. Good luck getting your console then.

    I was browsing EB, and I saw that people have 'bought' these. And I thought I'd look around and find the cheapest current pre-order.

    If this is the current price, then is it not the current bargain? And with a note that this is most likely to change and when that happens customers will be paying the new (lesser) price.

    I can't wait for the PS4, but don't we have to post a deal if there is stock. There is no stock and there is no RRP announced hence how can anyone take this post seriously. It even says price to be confirmed so even they don't know the real price.
