Otherwise you need to use microphone boost programs or shout

Josephchi, what you've just said … is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul…

love a bit of billy madison gold

    • Actually OS reviews have been very promising. I personally only use iOS because of work. If I could afford a second mobile line for no reason, I'd make use of win mo. :)

your work requires you to have a iOS phone? or you find the iOS better for work? because i have both and the Win phone is much much better for work stuff than the iOS :) ive been using both for many years now.. and have had android phones to test which are 3rd in my list of work related usage …

    • I think the OS itself is okay and comparable to IOS or Android, but I think the important apps is still lacking or of lower quality. Windows does not need millions of crap apps, they just need to have the important and popular apps that most people use. I have at least 100 hundreds apps that I download from Google Play but I think I only use maybe 7-8 on a daily basis.

I prefer Android much more. Even though I love Microsoft software, I can't see the point of this OS.

Not everyone wants to use IOS or Android. I hate Apple with a passion and Android from the 4 devices I have owned left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. Once I got a Lumia 800 I was hooked and have upgraded to a 920 recently.

I dont see any quality difference in apps and in some cases the WP app is nicer. Most of what people spread is just FUD as they have never used WP. There is over 150,000 unique apps now, MS does not include demos or wallpapers in its app count. If you can't find what you want I am sure there 20 apps just like it.

Plus the biggest draw card is Nokia hardware. Nice solid phones that don't need a case or feel like they will break if you drop them a few feet. I definitely prefer the build quality to the plastic junk Samsung puts out.

Window mobile phone is awesome. I love using it. With Android, I found myself tinkering with things trying to make it work nicely and ended up bricking the tablet (one of the ZTE deals). The windows phone interface just works nicely. Lovely simple phone.

Bought it at $165 — http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/65284, which is still cheaper than what it's being sold at currently.

I have a Lumia, being a Nokia it has Drive navigation, what would people use on this if they don't have Nokia Drive to get around?

EDIT: Just checked and since Jan all WP devices now qualify for Nokia Drive. Great news for WP users, I wonder how much MS pays Nokia for this privilege?

Great price for this phone by the way, + from me, all phones should be unlocked

    • +$4.29 Credit card fees !! I don't trust them to pay by bank deposit. Pay instore has no credit card fee but this is not available in store !

So MLN if you read these you lost a sale over your fees. We decided deal not so good after all the fees are included. $19 shipping (which should be half that) is one thing but 1.97% credit card fee was too much (and also illegal now that its only legal to pass on the actual cost).

    • +1

I thought its still legal, as long as the retail tells you that it they will pass on the fees, therefore allowing you to choose to use the card or not.

      • +3

        More info: http://www.theage.com.au/business/visa-to-outlaw-hefty-credi…

Basically its not legal but its been left up to the card issuers to enforce it.

        • Visa not equals the law though.

Therefore it is technically still legal to do so, however Visa can force retailers to limit what they surcharge. e.g. "we will revoke your Visa card capabilities if you do not make your surcharge 1%" LOL, I highly doubt that. Visa is not a non-profit organisation, they wouldn't make those sort of threats to a large company.

Cancel a visa card capability = loss of income for Visa in the end.

Remember, credit card companies and banks are the modern day cartels, they just give you money, then chop you 2x in return.

RBA should instead go after enforcing rate cuts, e.g. they cut 0.5% and the banks MUST pass these on. Now that would benefit the Australian community, instead of just saying to Visa 'if' you want to enforce surcharges, please go ahead and do so.

    back to the phone itself.
is this a good one compare to lumia 820.
price for australian stock htc 8s $220 is seems good.
edit: just called the 1300 number the guy said yes it is australian stock.

    • Lumia 820 is far better than this one, but of course, dearer by $100:
