They have pushed out another list of more items! It does verify the theory that the initial page was for DX AU deliveries whilst this is the International 50% off section. Please be aware that there will be longer delivery times for this since it needs to be shipped directly from China as opposed to the DX AU (which apparently has warehouse in Perth).

Update 3:
Offer is pretty much officially "Ozbargained" with the only remaining stock to be either very specialist products (Spare battery for product x), Seasonal products (Christmas), or stuff that not many people want. The only thing I am hoping for is that they can fulfill all orders so everyone is happy.

DX has subtly stated however, (Broken English) "If the customers who participate in this activity are more than expected which results in lack of product supply, we have to process refund for the oversold items, please kindly understand." which may account for some people's Paypals reported refunded against.

Update 4:

Have to apologise in advance to anyone who doesnt get the stock for this deal. Despite being the OP and putting the order through before others, I have now received a cancellation against my two orders (W8 and PD10). It is seemingly like a lottery to get stock. Very very disappointed. :(

Update 5:

After a disappointing weekend, DX has now come back to affected customers with a voucher that's worth 15% of the original total order. So, if your order was $200, then they will give you back $30 worth as a rebate in compensation to be used in DX. Apparently the stock is still available - but not it has changed to a different SKU but they are offering 15% off the original price. This is pretty beneficial if your original order was expensive (and hence you can get back a higher rebate value) - but typically most would only have done a $200 order with $30 rebated.

As you can see, the deal is nowhere near as good as before. However, it is up to you as an individual to see if it is still good value enough to continue making the purchases.

    YES people ! my order of THL W8 also got cancelled !!!!! They are a real scammer !!!!! Could anyone please tell me what to say to Paypal to get the money back ASAP and get them of from the Paypal list !!!!! I can not wait for a month to get my money back. Do we really have to wait for 15-21 days? On my cancel order, it said the following…

      I think perhaps if one item in your order is out of stock, they cancel the entire order. I ordered the phone and a HDMI cable, cable is still in stock, but phone isn't, so order was canceled?

          The JiaYu G3 is a dual core.

          Actually a few other sites have confirmed the N003 to also be 850Mhz UMTS as well - so it will work on Next G.

          The MTK6589 on 1080p (preprod Umi X2) is coming up at around 12000 mark - which is comparable to the Nexus 7. Its not that slow.

          The UMI X2 on the Gizchina video is a preprod model with only 1GB..

          Interesting that the W8+ with 1080p only scored a bit over 8000 in Antutu 3.. Compared to the Umi X2 and the iOcean X7 (both 1080p) who score around the 12000 mark.

        PW - already ordered the N003 from Lightake about 4 days before the DX offer came up. I originally got the Lite version but paid the extra $80 to get the Ultimate edition. Stock availability is on the 25th of next month though - so it will be a LONG LONG wait. :(

    Funny how something like this can change the way you view a company…last night I ordered some stuff off ebay that was a fraction cheaper on DX, but my feelings were that I actually had a better chance of getting the order fulfilled from an ebayer than dealextreme. I've ordered a fair bit of stuff off DX over the last couple of years, with mixed results.

    To be honest, this is not the first time I've had troubles with cancelled or misplaced orders with DX. Frankly, even if they do fulfil my remaining AU direct orders, I'll probably give them a wide berth in future; especially since there's just so damn many alternatives (Banggood, Lighttake, Meritline etc, etc) nowadays! :/

      I haven't ordered from those 3 sites you mentioned. Are they reliable, fast processing and shipping time. DX takes around 3-4 weeks for international orders via China Post. During New year season could take up to 9 weeks.

        I've ordered heaps of stuff off Lighttake, from the storefront & their ebay seller, never had a drama. They have roughly the same shipping times as DX, perhaps a little faster turnaround, but no cancellations at least! ;)

      Not sure if Paypal dispute is the right way to go. They have quoted on their site that a refund transfer will take 3-5 days. A dispute can last up to 45 just waiting for the parties to respond.

      Thank you very much for responding to these complaints in midst of all the chaos. However, as you can see from my previous posts that I made a purchase pretty much after your AU offer became available on the internet (orders 130514001074387503 and 130514001074460310 for a THL W8 and Highlander PD10HD respectively). You cannot seriously claim that the stock was "Sold out" immediately after it became available. I understand that you can sometimes oversell some products, but being almost "first in line" and then told "Its out of stock" is absolutely not good enough.

      As for compensation - I do not want some plastic keyring from DX for my time and effort wasted here on this. I would only like my order to be re-established and my items fulfilled. Unless you can offer a comparable products for the same sort of discount or cost, then it would almost be pointless to try and settle this through.

        bchliu, that's a really good idea, but I doubt they full fill our request. I don't even mind if they ship my AU orders via China Post. The whole point is they don't really care about their Australian customers.

        Michelle is a very good DXstaff, but their is very little she can do to help because the decision was made by DX management.
