According to this, they will be rotating the deals throughout the day (800 SKUs with total quantity of 40,000) to cover a bunch of other products too. Check back whenever you can to see if theres anything new!

They have pushed out another list of more items! It does verify the theory that the initial page was for DX AU deliveries whilst this is the International 50% off section. Please be aware that there will be longer delivery times for this since it needs to be shipped directly from China as opposed to the DX AU (which apparently has warehouse in Perth).

Update 3:
Offer is pretty much officially "Ozbargained" with the only remaining stock to be either very specialist products (Spare battery for product x), Seasonal products (Christmas), or stuff that not many people want. The only thing I am hoping for is that they can fulfill all orders so everyone is happy.

DX has subtly stated however, (Broken English) "If the customers who participate in this activity are more than expected which results in lack of product supply, we have to process refund for the oversold items, please kindly understand." which may account for some people's Paypals reported refunded against.

Update 4:

Have to apologise in advance to anyone who doesnt get the stock for this deal. Despite being the OP and putting the order through before others, I have now received a cancellation against my two orders (W8 and PD10). It is seemingly like a lottery to get stock. Very very disappointed. :(

Update 5:

After a disappointing weekend, DX has now come back to affected customers with a voucher that's worth 15% of the original total order. So, if your order was $200, then they will give you back $30 worth as a rebate in compensation to be used in DX. Apparently the stock is still available - but not it has changed to a different SKU but they are offering 15% off the original price. This is pretty beneficial if your original order was expensive (and hence you can get back a higher rebate value) - but typically most would only have done a $200 order with $30 rebated.

As you can see, the deal is nowhere near as good as before. However, it is up to you as an individual to see if it is still good value enough to continue making the purchases.

        • Well one things for certain that current chinese phones which have 720p screens (which by the way have only been around ~6mths or so) are/will be/have already been superseded by the new 1080p units.

          Same goes for tabs as well (w/ the exception of P80 or any other tabs which have retina disp.).

        • This is not the first time they have half price sales. There was one other time on a Black Friday Sales on 2011, many items goes on 50% off and customers can add more than one in the shopping cart, some brought 10, but end up got 2x per items shipped.

      Given how fast they sold out, I imagine their staff are having a heck of a time filling the orders. 50% off I'm happy to wait a little. But if I don't ever get it, well that's another thing altogether

        May be that's the case as I think so far there's only 1 of us reported that their order is being shipped.. that's disappointing.
        edit: even that apparently only a dual sim adapter.. So no once actually got theirs shipped?!

  • Just contacted live chat and they told me that two of my tablet orders were 'out of stock'. When I mentioned they were in stock for the non-AU-Direct product (i.e no Toll shipping) the person said that I would not receive the 50% discount. They're trying to have their cake and eat it too. I didn't mention the last tablet order in case they are cancelling orders based on how easy it is to get in contact with a consumer. Also, they're probably sitting on all of your money while it gains interest.

      Since everybody seems to be contacting them via live-chat, i thought I do it too. They said my order was all OK, and to have some patience. This is kind of weird, but it's a win win situation. If the tablets arrive I probably have made a very happy purchase, if not I don't have to justify anything to the finance minister.

          Seriously though.. I am waiting as much as any of you to get my orders (W8 + PD10HD + misc).

          I can pretty much vouch for previous DX orders- yes, they are pretty damn slow at getting stock out sometimes - although it is the case with most dropshipping since they have to rely on the upstream manufacturer to deliver. But it does turn up (outside of getting lost in transit).

    • I did speak to them yesterday, but I won't again as I might just indirectly provoke them to cancel my order…, the minute you get frustrated and the price you paid is an obvious bargain, they just cancel the order and purposely make you wait a month before they process your refund…

      For the price I paid I'm happy to wait upto 5 days, as that's what the guy told me, might just be the sheer volume they've got to deal with, not only our deal but other daily purchases from all around the world…

  • Also check my order and this is suppose to be ship from Toll Australia. Was told goign to be 3-5 weeks time instead of 7 days ? So it looks like they order the items after we purchase it.

    • They ship from China with Toll which takes about 5-7 days, they don't have a warehouse in Aus, but what I did find was this address for "Warranty & Return" issues in Aus, on this page: Link

      • I doubt it will be 5-7 days if ship from China. More likely 3-5 weeks which is what the support say. So have to wait patiently and hope your order is not being cancel.

        • I am pretty sure, that on check out, there was this greenish "TOLL" icon as shipping method. Shame I cannot find it in my order confirmation.

          3-5 weeks via China Post and 3-5 days via Toll Express.

        • My best guess is they are going to pack and pre label all orders and fill a container or two. This way they don't pay gst as each order has it's own invoice. Each package has a toll shipping label and toll will take receipt of the container and simply ship from w.a. everything that is inside.

          I had a toll rep contact me to offer this exact thing for my business and I know of some other companies that do this in Australia.

          Don't be surprised if your goods take 4-5 weeks to get delivered. Above is just a guess BTW based on what other people are saying. DX saying they don't have a warehouse in Australia is a huge tip off.

    Spoke to Live Chat since my order was stuck in "Payment Confirmed" since day one, and the rep went ahead and cancelled my order because the item is "out of stock for next few months". So now that my order has been cancelled, waiting for my refund. Never buying from them again.

    Not going to neg though, I new it would be tough to get anything from this sale especially considering there were 15k clicks just from OzBargain alone. I wasn't first in the ordering, so I half expected to get canceled, actually getting my item would have just been a bonus. I guess this saved me $130 ;)

      • I actually contacted livechat to ask what's going on with my order as payment had been confirmed for two days now and nothing else. When i read some orders got shipping confirmation on here i contacted them to check when mine will be shipped. A minute later, cancelled.

          The time stated is 9:32am and 9:42am for my two orders. It corresponds with my Paypal transaction of 1:32am and 1:42am. So they must be calculating it in West Coast US time or something. The offer did come online at 1:30 or so because I remember receiving an email at 1am on the International offer, logged in and this was not available then. I logged in again at 1:30am and it was online then. Hence why I am pretty sure I was one of the first to get my order through.

          I purchased these orders during your AU Sale period that offered 50% discounts to these items. My order was placed at 1:30AM (Eastern Australian Time) and one of the first people to put the order through your discount offer.
          I had then gone through the right process and paid for these items before I got a receipt in the email to say that the transaction is confirmed along with payment.

          Since then, I understood that there had been a big demand for these items and many others had purchased it. I had contacted your online sales staff twice to ensure that my order is ok, which they had verified to be fine and that it will ship within the next few days.

          However, since then I had logged into my account and found that my transactions were cancelled without my knowing and since then I logged back into your online support who apologised for this. They claimed that they could not do anything for me on this and that the supervisor would not be available to resolve my issues until next friday.

          Given I was one of the FIRST customers that had placed the order through with your promotional discounts, I am not sure why my order was cancelled due to "No stock". I have a few friends who ordered much later than my order and they have stock allocated to them and ready to ship. This is not acceptable to me since I would consider myself as being "First in line" by purchasing it so early (when the deal came online at 1:30am).

          I would like to kindly request that both my orders be reinstated and that stock should be reallocated back to me for shipping. It is clearly unacceptable to tell me that my order was cancelled because "No stock" when I was one of the first people to order these items AND that other people who ordered later than me have been allocated stock. It is simply NOT acceptable to only apologise because I have followed the entire transaction through and that you currently hold my funds.

        Dear Moderator,

        I would like to say that this information is NOT acceptable. I am an Australian customer who took to the "50% off discount offer" http://e.dx.com/collection/201305/au-direct-50off/index.html

        This offer became available on the 15th May in the Morning at 1:30AM Eastern Australian Time and was very specific for Australian customers who were promised to be shipped from the "AU Direct". I ordered two items immediately after it became available (Orders 130514001074387503 and 130514001074460310) for a THL W8 and Freelander PD10HD respectively. I thought that my order was fine and had contacted your online support staff twice to confirm and they "guaranteed" that my order will be shipped.

        However, I am very disappointed tonight to find that my orders have been cancelled without any notice at all. My Money was taken out of my Paypal account, but there is no explanation as to why. I once again contacted your online support staff and they confirmed it was cancelled because "There is no more stock" and that it cannot be restored.

        So, if the offer was only available at 1:30am on the 15th May and that I ordered not too long after that (1:32AM), then WHY is my order cancelled due to no more stock? Are you indicating that someone went in before I did and cleaned out your entire stock within the 2 minutes that I put my order through? Or was it because there was no stock in the first place?

        I have sent through a letter of complaint to your emails on this. Please respond with an appropriate and fair action outside of a very insincere apology.

    • They definitely put a priority on the International offer over the AU Offer.. hence why even "First in line" still had the order cancelled. Ridiculous.

      • I only ordered one item (the phone). It was paid for on 1:56:36 AEST (which is earlier than when the deal was posted).

        My take on this is that they either didn't have a lot of stock, or Ozbargain was awfully late to the party and somehow, somewhere a lot of people ordered before this deal was posted.
