  How does this compare with Schenhizer CX300II? I have the CX300II and want something to use with my phone in the car.

    CX300II>M4s easily.
    But there are M4 fanboys who will say otherwise.
    I personally received a dud that fell apart, 1 month later, chased up mp4nation for the replacement pair sent after noticing they were "instock" again, no dramas aftewards, but the first pair were definitely a lemon, 2nd pair were okay, but I prefer the Sennheiser sound signature rather than the M4s - some people say the M4s are very detailed and clear, but I disagree, and I've seen a couple of reviews online that also agree with me. Either the M4s have severe quality control problems, or they're just plain crap

    yea horrible build quality and as usual they only last a few months…, never again will I buy Brainwavz crap, wasted my money, warranty is non-existent !

      Well i don't have M4s so i can't comment on those. But i did buy a pair of R1s. When the package came a portion of the wire where the Y splits into left/right was missing some part of the casing, thus exposing the copper wire beneath. I was not amused and contacted MP4nation who (after showing them a photo) offered to send me a replacement. However i never got around to sending it back - and its still working fine 6 months on despite the defect. Sound quality of the R1 is pretty good. However that being said i have never bought earphones / headphones with a cosmetic defect before…so there is definitely room for improvement by MP4nation/Brainwavz quality control.
