hi guys,

I was looking at this deal

http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/109257

and decided to buy 2 for 10.10 and get this one to give it a go

and notice what ever quantity I added the total cost $10.11 so its basically free (may price error)

I did not buy 20 but to give you an idea.
I hope no one take more than 5 to give chance for the other ozbargainers >> impossible with some people
I only got 5 of them ;}
bad luck to who already bought the two PHILIPS for 10.10 :P

enjoy and have a good weekend

update:

Hahah nice find.. pity its a pricing error and no doubt it will be cancelled

    • +1

anything you add with the 2x philips you get $5 off dont ask me why !
I added a sony camera and it took $5 of the price
so why not give it a try !
I think they will honor if people buy with reasonable quantity.

    • hope when they cancel it they don't cancel our 2x headphones as well..

  • You are a prince! That's my lifetime supply of earphones sorted.

  • it appears to fix it's error when you go to checkout. Does for me anyway.

    • I got all the way through checkout. Maybe they've fixed it.

  • No more stock for home delivery

  • is this the same as http://www.harveynorman.com.au/philips-she3500bl-in-ear-head… ?
From the pic is obviously different, but in DSE description says SHE3500BL ?

  • I think that glitch just take $5 off the 'Normal price' or Sale price or something… off everything

    • All of them were just removed…

      • there are still available for me :)

        • Hmm now they are working. Strange.

  • Postage seems to be free too…

  • pretty sure this wont be honoured - you can do the same with the 'BOGOF' philips DJ headphones for $39.95…. and it takes $39.95 off any other items you buy.

  • Payment won't go through.

  • pretty sure dse won't honour it, I've tried putting in crazy quantities and they discount works, surely it won't work out.

  • you cant buy anymore than 2 headphones. if you do, it doesn't apply any discounts.

    • thanks for the tip, now I don't want to buy anymore headphone but I want to buy the other stuffs ;)

  • Basically go to here http://www.dicksmith.com.au/promotions/hot-deals sort from low to high and purchase whatever items you want that are under $5 and they will all be free.

This is fairly decent for free http://www.dicksmith.com.au/tools-hobbyist/digitor-digital-m…

Also various types of batteries, extension cables, power boards, double AC adapters and so on,

  • +1

    It's been fixed now.

  • Just got my confirmation email, let's hope this works out! :)

  • +1

Those who already ordered are lucky. The discount is gone now. I just took too long to add things, missed out. Was set to pay $36 for $66 worth of stuffs that I really needed. But I wanted to look for more that I didn't need and the discount expired. Now I wasted my 2 hours as well. Lesson: Don't be too greedy.

bug has been fixed - damn just had over $300 in my cart

  • wow, I somehow managed to make my cart negative $79 lol… but didn't bother to see if they would credit me haha (doubt it.. and they could easily reverse the transaction anyway).

  • Somehow I feel that Dick Smith staff (or affiliation) has been quietly watching us (Ozbargain website). Perhaps that's how they know about this and got their errors fixed….that include all the other DSE deals found here.

  • I got an order in for a few headphones that came to $0.01 but I doubt they will honour it….nothing to lose I guess.

  • +4

Still works- add 2 of these to your basket.

    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/earphones-headphones/philips-dj-…

    • This time everything goes to credit balance lol.

      • I think they just fixed it :(

  • I just found new bug in the website looool

    edit:
    same wbeer's comment

    • Good stuff, logitech keyboard, logitech mouse and other stuff practically free. Talk about an organisation being in such disarray.

      • now they take off $79 so anything under $79 is free.

I recommend to to add something above $79 so they dont notice it and you pay something

  • Plus for sharing op

  • +2

DSE website is borked since the recent downgrade.

  • +1

I have a theory.. the discounts might be for us to do bug-hunting on their website.. which should be comparable to the cost of their testing team.. :)

  • I know I'm wasting my time, but I've added $750+ of products I actually want and will use, and it's still coming to a total of $0

This is crazy. Kinda fun … but I really oughta work out the "essentials" and see if I can get them - and have DSE honour the purchase.

    • I'm sure they will definitely cancel. I'd say have a go for sure but leave a decent positive amount if you want any hope of having your order processed.

  • +1

All my orders that came to 0 dollars are still processing. All my $0.01 orders were cancelled, does this mean dicksmith does not want my money? :/

Also, 4 cents was taken from my card… LOL

  • Received email: Transaction unsuccessful. Placed $2200 worth of goods for $150 lol. What an way to spend the afternoon. Enjoyed adding the items to cart anyway!

  • +1

    I just made a $5008.17 order with $4968.85 Discount , down to $39.32

    • what did you order to get that high?

      • a bunge of random stuffs, earphones, mobile phone, blah blah blah

        UPDATE: ORDER CANCELED

        • NSS $5008.17!
An order like that is SCREAMING for moderator attention.

  • My oder went through.. and received confirmation email.
    2 head phones and 2 extension leads…
    just over $10!

    • Some orders are denied by dse even after confirmation email, but i received a tax invoice from them saying some of the stuff i ordered was going to be shipped today (it's friday so…). Still have my finger crossed for any freebies lol

    • +1

      just got this from dse

        • +1

I want my cent back :(

        • i lost $10.14, hope they will pay me back, or else I'll go all Chinese on them over the phone until they break

  • I got email saying unsuccessful transaction at 1701 then then exactly hour later at 1801 I got another email regarding order confirmation. Don't know which one is right. Tried to call the customer care but its apparently the number I dialled was wrong.

  • +1

Let's the professions clean up the DS warehouse!

  • It looks like my order has gone through - it's showing up on the credit card. Bought a bunch of stuff with plenty of discount, but didn't try to get it for free. That would have been nuts.

Have they done stocktake yet? I guess this helps them out … The less stuff they have around, the easier it is, right? :-)

    • Naaww would think so. It just sits there as an authorization until it is returned. I had the same thing happen and it is named in my CC but I got the email saying it aint happening. It should get returned in a few days.

      • I received an invoice, what does this mean?

        • Got an invoice as well. Most stuff is on backorder but it says some has been shipped. Will update later on.

        • In my order history it still says "Processing". My order has also been split into 3 invoices, and none of my items are on backorder.

        • Yeah, I've got an invoice now too. Not everything is included though, so there must be a separate invoice coming. The email I have says it's been picked and sent today, arrival within 4 business days … Is that what you guys got?

        • +1

I just received all 6 of my items (2 of which were the dj headphones for the discount to work). What a massive bargain. Wishing I'd ordered more, but I didn't want to be greedy and get nothing.

Very happy and equally as amazed :)

      • +1

No cancellation email yet either … I'll hope for the best.

If you've got an invoice, I'd say you're OK scytherbladez

  • I got an apology email saying they're unable to fulfil my order and I will be getting a refund in 5 days. This was received after I got an invoice for part of my order, part of my order was delivered and then another invoice for some more of my order.
Hope I get the rest of my order given that I actually paid for it!

  • +2

Ordered few orders, although few orders get cancelled..

BUT Unexpectedly receive 2 orders this morning…. $380 worth of stuffs for FREE

      2 x PHILIPS Headphones SHE3500BL - $19.90
      5 x LOGITECH W/less Keyboard K400R - $179.95 (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/109305)

        • I only ended up getting a few headphones, eneloop batteries and knicks and knacks xD

        • So lucky you got eneloop batteries :P

    • +2

loool my order was similar to yours BUT GOT NOTHING.
may be if I did not post the bug over here may I have better chance to get something but I preferred to shear it with you guys.

its feel good that someone got something ;)

      enjoy

      • I salute your ozbargainism, thank you for your kindness, it has brought me many, many, many phillips headphones :)

        • +1

hahhah no worries mate. got many good deals from here.
even they canceled my 2x philips headphone for the $10.10 .
its look like DSE heats me :( looool

        • Sorry to hear you missed out. It's unfair when an OP misses out on a deal they have gone to the trouble of posting. Hopefully something will just turn up out of the blue.

  • Hah I tried to do it but the order wouldn't go through so I thought nothing will show up any way and clicked out of it.

and now I hear it actually worked…

  • Anyone got their refund yet?

    • I can only see authorisations on my card - they should just age off in a few days.

  • I got this email too :(
Should I actually call them or can I safely assume that I will get my refund?

Please be advised that we are having difficulties processing your order and your transaction has been unsuccessful. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please contact our Online Customer Service Centre on 1300 366 64 during the hours of 8am – 7pm AEST Monday to Friday and 10am – 2pm AEST Saturday and Sunday in order to reconfirm your order details.

  • damn.. got my cancellation and refund.. not the outcome I hoped for..

  • They've delivered two items to me, but apparently cancelled the rest. Only have a $20 refund on a $130 order :S

    • So did you end up paying $110 for the two items delivered?? What was the actual value of those items?

      • $150 for the items - I wouldn't have bought these items though if they weren't part of the discounted package. Not sure how they've decided to charge them out either as the invoice has them at 0.

        • +1

Dispute it as you thought you were getting a package deal including discounts as shown to you in the online store. Tell them the online store showed you a discount and that is why you bought.
Basically the deal you signed up for is not the deal you got and they changed the invoice and charges without consulting you. It will be easy to get a refund or credit card chargeback as they provided the evidence by sending the invoice to your email.
Go the bastards. Dont take "no" for an answer.

        • I just tried to have this conversation with them (got through to someone after 3 calls).
Basically he told me they can't refund $0 for the other items I wasn't shipped. So I asked for a refund if I returned the products and he said he wasn't sure they could issue a refund if the products weren't faulty. He's passed it onto their accounts team to process.

        • What is your case julz?
          Was it partially delivered?
If it was: Be assertive. Do not take "no" for an answer.
It is simple. The invoice they generated is a contract between you and them showing a certain number of goods for a certain price, including some for free.
They failed to honor the invoice as it was issued to you. They are obliged to either cancel it outright ( a right they reserve in their terms and conditions) or honor it as written. They absolutely cannot CHANGE an invoice to deliver just the bits they want. They absolutely cannot change your invoice without your permission
I would return the goods and demand a full refund. If they get snarky just say the magic words "chargeback".
          They are tools.

        • I've made a log of all the correspondence I've had with them. Double checked my invoice and it clearly itemized the cost of each item with a discount applied at the end. They claimed they were out of stock of the other items and refused to refund the rest as they said the total I paid was less than the value of the items already received. I'm going lodge a credit card chargeback if I don't hear back by tomorrow.

  • has anyone received their money back ??

i received an apology email on 9th July saying my order cannot be fulfilled and I will be refunded back in the next 5 days.

check your credit card statement. its been more than 5 days and I havent seen any refund come back into my account.

seems like they are charging us, not fulfilling the order and forgetting to refund the money.

    • +1

I honestly don't know if I am going to ask for a refund. I got most of my order and its value was more than what I had paid. But I did do a second order which was cancelled too but did not receive anything. I do expect a refund for that one though.

    • I just got another email with an invoice today. I'd forgotten all about this deal. I never got my order, and never got an email saying that they cancelled it either. They did return the money to my credit card, so I'm OK with that.

I'm wondering if they're about to send my order? That would be weird.
