  • Note: It includes downloads AND uploads in the data

    • It seems that the contract is for a max of 2 years, after which, the 20% discount will no longer apply?

  • Happy with Ace so far. 59.95$ plan.

    • Don't forget, once your 12 month contract is up, the $59.95 special offer will go up to $69.95. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/80569

This deal would have been good if they introduce it later in September/October, when the people who jumped on the Ace deal 12 months contract coming to the end. I'll be one of those looking to make the switch.

The Ace deal were really good on paper. In reality, I lost 25% download and 50% upload speed of my already slow / edge of the exchange connection. Super high pings. YouTube is very unstable at different time of day (especially at night). The reps were nice enough to try and help but they are only reseller. They have no control over the network.

Lesson learnt. I will never again knowingly sign up to an ispOne reseller.

  • Do the prices listed already include the 20% off?

EDIT: July offer doesn't apply to regional plans?

    • Or metro…

  • Club Telco still $25 in their own DSLAM exchanges or $40 in ones where they don't have their own equipment. Unlimited. Been with them for 18 months and they are great

Their customer service is really crap, I've been on hold with them for over an hour several times!

  • ClubTelco charges $50 per year for that useless thing called 'Infinite rewards'

Just don't. Spent the last two weeks having Spintel refuse to respond to email, calls, facebook & twitter. TIO complaint moved things on a little but their customer service truly has taken a nosedive. If it if wasn't for Pennytel's parent company's "issues" I'd be churning away today.

Don't join spintel. Support is useless, 1 hour+ wait times. Their network is heavily congested as they admitted to me and the TIO when I couldn't load a Google search in peak times. They let me out of my contract as they couldn't improve the situation at all. Switched to IInet.. perfect at all times.

  • Surprised at the negative comments for Spin. I was with them for several years in two different houses and they were always really good - great service all round and I'd always recommend them to others. Haven't used them for a while though - I'm with Exetel now due to theirs being a better offer and they've been quite good. (OTOH Netspace sucked.)

I had the "unlimited" plan with SpinTel.

3 months into my 1 year contract, I got a termination letter from them. I called them to find out what was going on. The rep said that because I had downloaded over 1.5TB each month they were cancelling me. I wouldn't be paying the rest of the contract though, it just became null and void.

I said that nowhere in the T&C's or anywhere on their site had any mention whatsoever of a limit - unlimited means unlimited.

They wouldn't relent so I made a complaint to the TIO and it's still going.

Joined ClubTelco's unlimited plan and have been happy ever since.

Will never recommend SpinTel to anyone again - their unlimited plan is just spin!

Just finished my 2 year contract with this company which turned out to be 25 months coz of the stupid termination notice. Do nit ever join this company. Their customer support is the worst in Australia and the company is built on lies and misleading information.

  • Just updated. I was in contract about to expire but they still let me extend. Hope the speed will not be going to zero will new sign ups.
