Update: Kogan has tweeted that this was not a price error, however this has since been quickly removed and it is unknown if orders will be honoured.

What are you complaing about? Because they have themselves covered so if they make a mistake then they are not forced to declare bankrupt and close business?

Or because you only got a FREE $20 voucher and think you are enitiled to more..

Seriously get off your horse. You should accept it was a mistake and be thankful for the voucher.

      • +3

Nowhere did I say that I was going to file a complaint and I am not going to file one. I took a screenshot last night and thought it may be of use to people who may want to.
        Seriously calm down.

      • +6

Seriously why you are so wind up Cardz? The info that roffey1 posted is useful for someone who are willing to make a complaint of misleading advertising instead of pricing error.

It is indeed Kogan attempt to mislead us. Pricing error doesn't happen as often as this.
Also, if they indeed not farming our personal detail, they should advise that they have deleted all out contact detail from their server.

BTW, my Paypal and CC already been charged, yet the Kogan can said whatever they like and enjoy the interest gained from our money. This is why some of us want to make a complaint. If they withdraw the fund once they shipped the item, that's different story and we won't have anything to complained about.

        • -4

How do you know I am wound up??
Must be the same way you know that this is an obvious attempt at Kogan to mislead us.

          Besides.
          1. It takes a couple of days for the money to clear. Hence they want the money to clear before they ship the product in case it does not clear.
          2. Kogan will be paying all the transaction fees hence losing money
          3. Kogan have also granted everyone a $20 voucher.. More than what your $420 is worth for a week on the short term money deposit.

But hey dont let the facts get in the way of their obvious attempt to mislead us!!

      • easy man.
they make mistake this is how ozb member punish them.

      • +1

They're clearly abusing loopholes to do some of the following:

        1. Collect tonnes of user data, addresses and payment details.
        2. Have many users sign up.
        3. Make their site viral, the link still works now and links to a more expensive S4.
        4. They were hedging themselves against the eventuality of the iPhone 5s being a unexpected decent product.
        5. They get to hold onto our money for a short period of time, and invest it, or class it as liquid assets.
        • +1

Totally agree with Sturmeh… They are clearly abusing their rights.. Totally gained heaps!!! >:
Can't see how they can even justify the pricing errors when their own reps tweeted otherwise! O.o (Thanks Gackt)
My voucher states its only valid for above $50 also.. If that's the case then this will be my first and LAST time associating with Kogan!
Don't worry I'll PM my voucher then. Must abuse our rights too right?
Kogan has a community of haters now I assumed…

        • liquid assets? Come on mate if you're going to quote accounting terms at least get them right.

Screenshot of white S4 without ON SALE : http://imgur.com/6uYqT7m
See the ON SALE and Save between this one and above. If that price error, why it had the ON SALE? I think it just Kogan tactics to sell S4 stock before Apple announced 5S and 5C…conspiracy huh ?

  • Free Bluetooth headset, good value. :)

  • -1

Would appreciate if someone can PM me the code if he/she is not using it…

    Thanks in advance.

  • +1

If the vouchers were intended to be for >$50 purchases and many people used them, can you imagine how much they'd make?

I sense a plan all along

    • +5

except the vouchers are working when u spend less than $20

      • +2

        justice for us!

  • +1

    Dat beggers..

  • -1

Also looking for a code that no one wants to use. If you could PM me that would be great ;)

  • Someone in Warrane bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 4G LTE i9505 (16GB, Black) at 5.38 pm. I feel like why ? why ? why ?

  • +1

Just received a kogan email with subject refund processed :
Opened up and its my $270 lost from kogan mobile top up back.

Kogan seriously has too much of my money - I need $864 back and I don't give a horse arse of that dodgy $20 coupon.

  • -2

I too would like a $20 voucher if anyone is not going to use theirs… cheers

  • +7

To be fair, a $20 voucher is still better than just a 'sorry we stuffed up, read our T&C, now piss off' email, like that from Amazon.

    • I agree - their "warmest regards" was code for piss off I think

  • why they block my code? it said "Sorry, that is not a valid voucher." I think they stop all the code atm

    • +7

Don't use it as a discount code, use it as a gift card payment while doing the final payment.

      • THANK YOU very much :)

    • +2

Turn on the light, u can't even see yourself how are you suppose to read?

  • -3

Plz post some vouchers if you don't use it. Thanks in advance.

  • +8

Just used my voucher and bought an item for $19, just need to work out how to get my $1 change

  • +2

Bought a 2600mAh power pack with the gift card + $4. That's 83% off, way better than the silly S4 deal. Thank you Kogan, you idiot….. ^~^…..

  • +8

Not really surprised at the price error. The voucher was good, I guess. I bought a $19 item with it.
The way they're tracking, I'm kinda half expecting Kogan to now cancel all our gift card purchases under $50.
They'll tweet about orders being all good first though.

  • That code does not appear to exist…

    • you need to enter it on the payment stage

  • +1

    Hi everybody,

I've got an idea to pool our gift-vouchers so that some people can still get an Samsung S4.

Each person sells their gift card for $15 and one person buys them. With ~30 gift-cards codes you can buy a S4.

This makes an S4 cost about $450.

At least this way, we make some good out of a bad situation and people who didn't want anything from Kogan can get something for their wasted time.

    Thoughts?

    • +4

you are only allowed to use one voucher per purchase.

    • Yes, instead you should pool over the funds and buy the new iPhone 5S.

  • +1

This was not the Droid you were looking for….

  • +1

Would any kind person like to donate their gift code pm me.

Would love to prove to my missus something useful does come out of these OB posts lol

  • +1

Rip them off using the voucher as it works under 50 and BOYCOTT Kogan for good

  • Thanks kogan, they are still losing alot of money for this $20 gift card per person.

Buying their 32gb usb 3 flash for $9, they are very fast, bought one for 19 last time.

For those that want a cheaper usb 2 one they have a usb key for 25, so $5

    • +1

I think they'd still profit off of your $9, lol.

      • maybe lol, but their flash drives are really fast and I really regretted Not buying more than 1 after using it for bout a week. Their price slowly rose thereafter

But now i'm getting one for $9!!

        • How about the 64gb one for $29 after using coupon?

  • This is the second time Kogan disapoints, and ive only ordered twice on Kogan, first time was the 3G SIM which was $5 and is now useless.

  • +1

Personally not mad about the pricing error, it was their slow response and flip flopping that was annoying. Now it wouldn't surprise me if they cancel those orders under $50 using the coupon code. Either way I'll never buy from them again after this piss poor performance, if some people are still willing to take a gamble with them, then Goodluck. :-)

Here's a new catch cry I heard in one of the thread's today (credit - mattgal):

So if you get burned/ripped off/taken for a ride, etc; you've been Kogan'd

    Examples:
Person 1 - I'm so jealous of that deal you got on your TV the other day, that was a STEAL!
Person 2 - Oh nah man that didn't work out, I got Kogan'd pretty bad
    Person 1 - Woah…my condolences

    or:

Person 1 - Hey, how'd your date with that girl go the other day?
Person 2 - Ahh man don't ask - she had my hopes up for like half a day and I really thought it'd work, she even confirmed it the next day on facebook and twitter that we're official! But then I started doubting her when she deleted her facebook status almost immediately. I don't like mixed signals so I called her and asked what was going on, she said she'd email me later and ultimately a few hours later she broke up with me via email telling me it was a mistake… Paid $430 to take her out to dinner and stuff and all I'm left with now is $20…
Person 1 - Sorry to hear that, looks like she Kogan'd you pretty bad…

    • +2

Person 1 - Wait, she didnt give you $430 back for that dinner.

  • "Ruslan Kogan owner of Kogan is looking to sell a stake in his online electronics company. It turned over $200m last year and looks set to turn over $350m this year."

    • +7

      $350m - $20 x 600

      • o + 430x600 x 2 .Yes that would be a shonky interpretation of "turnover"

      • More like + $30 x 600

  • -4

I too would like a $20 voucher if anyone is not going to use theirs :) Need a new phone case since mine's broken :(

  • +1

I only bought the phone knowing it would be a price error and hoping that we would get credit. Free camera mug and ear phones :)

  • Do I need to use resolution centre in PayPal to get my money back or do Kogan usually refund quickly?

  • -7

    Kogan is working for apple.

Offers g4 phone for $x. Hundreds buy.
Next day apple announces new iPhone.
    Kogan cancels g4 orders.
Hundreds of disgruntled customers say " screw you kogan and Samsung".
All these customers have $429 of ready cash and through it at apple.

    • +13

To buy what? Half an iPhone?

    • Don't think too many would be interested in the 5 crap.

      • +3

It's even funnier when Apple announce it as their cheapest phone, but it's still more expensive than the majority of Android phones lol

      • +1

        5c = 5 crap, 5s = 5 sucks?

    • You can buy 4/5ths of the iPhone 5c 16GB model maybe.

  • +4

LOL, First Kogan got his ass kicked by Telstra a few weeks ago

Now 10,000 OzBargainers hate his guts.

What next? Gerry Harvey kicking sand in his face?

  • use the $20 voucher on koganmobile lol

  • -2

Is this a unique $20 voucher code?
Wondering if others can use them to OZBARGAIN'ed.

  • +2

ok well seeing as I'm nice and don't want to spend any more money on Kogan, I'm going to give my code away.

    UIVGFIPVMJFWRA

    First come, first serve!

    • Sorry, that is not a valid voucher.

      • Anyone have a spare code please pm!

  • +1

just bought memory foam contour pillow $34 now only pay $14.. finally will have a good sleep after too much excitement last night..

    • Where did u get this pillow?

  • -2

Anyone have a spare code please pm. thanks.

  • Well I just got myself the "Like and Dislike" stamps..

  • Does anyone know if the vouchers can be stacked? I like of buying something more expensive using multiple vouchers at once.

  • -1

im up for a code. thanks in advance =D

  • -3

If anybody is giving up their code, ill take one! I promise I wont buy anything over $20, not giving any money to Kogan after this!!

  • +7

I posted my whole reply email without knowing the code was in there. Then i removed it in like a minute.

Now I tried to use it only found my code has been ninjaed. ><!

    • +20

      U got Kogan'd

    • +8

That's pretty shameless behaviour on behalf of whoever claimed it.

    • Yeah I saw that, but I didnt take it.

  • +2

The GIFT CARD for $20 can be used on any purchase, it does NOT have to be over $50.

Although, they'll probably dishonour those transactions also.

  • I for one used the voucher for a new case for my S3, so this is actually a better deal than the S4 if the deal would have gone ahead, as I don't think I need the upgrade just yet..LOL…..cant complain as I virtually get the case for free.

  • hmm i paid by paypal and now $341.99 has been debited from my link bank account.

    • how come its $90 cheaper??

      • +5

Woah, Kogan must've dropped the price on the s4 again, bargain!! Lol

    • +4

you probably had $90 in your paypal account before the purchase.

  • Damnn…I should have bought 20 of them yesterday… therefore to receive $400 GiftCard today. Want to buy a GS4

If anyone won't be using their $20 voucher, Please sell to me. Thank you.

I'm buying off for $8 Each!

    SERIOUS:
$9 Earphones & Cables are selling for $1 on eBay
$15 Camera Mug selling $5 on eBay

    • +1

20 x $432, that is a fair bit money for kogan to hold on for you before it refunds it.

    • +1

      The vouchers can't be stacked.

  • How about offer us free s4 cases to kogan (piss) us off more?

  • I got the cancellation email as well, but this afternoon I got another email saying "Your order will be on the way soon". I ordered some S4 screen protectors as well as the S4. Did they cancel the entire order or are they going to send me screen protectors I no longer have a need for?

    • +5

Here's hoping they stuff up and send you the s4 instead of the screen protector!

    • +12

You got kogan'd. They aimed to get you to buy the recommended accessories and cancelled the phone. Imagine you paid for a buy one get one free burger and a full price coke. They cancel your burgers and sell you the coke.

    • +1

As they are not selling S4 at that price; they would have re-adjusted your order.
Prepare to receive screen protectors worth $431.99 :P

      • Yep, I got a shipping confirmation email for the screen protectors I'll never use, and my credit card has been charged $491.96.

F!@#$%g Kogan'd! Valuable life lesson learnt. I'd rather give money to Gerry Harvey than Ruslan Kogan.

        • +1

          Blasphemy

        • I'm that pissed off.

    • +3

Good news, they're not charging me for the screen protectors and I have the full order amount refunded on my credit card.

"Your screen protectors were shipped automatically by our system - given the value, you can keep them as a token of goodwill."

  • I just realised the warranty for the stylus USB pen is $3 for 5 years. Surely it wouldn't last that long if you write 5GB/day.

  • If you didnt think $409 for an S4 was a possible price error then im suprised you managed to turn on your computer.

Suck it up, enjoy your voucher and maybe give something back to this ozbargain 'community instead of leaching from it and complaining when something doesnt go your way. (not everyone ofcourse)

  • I was a bit sad I couldn't upgrade to this phone (I'm still on a htc desire) so looked at the s3's again and saw the white i9305 for $409 (excluding delivery) so put my voucher towards that instead. Moderately happy, but not as ecstatic as the original 'deal'.

  • Win for me. Don't know know what possessed me to buy it. Mob mentality most definitely as I'm going to get the samsung note 3 whenever it's available. Bought a $9 32gb usb stick which hopefully gets honored but I doubt it.

    • dri, where did u find that deal, can't find 32gb at $9, but at $25 at least :(
