OzBargainSportFi

Dear OzBargainers,

Last week you guys again had some tremendously positive feedback on a promotion for our high-end earphones, so thank you all for that!

Many of you also asked for a deal on a sports set, which I heard loud and clear. Here's what I was able to work out on our sports earphones:

  • Sport-Fi M6 In-Ear Headphones: $12.99 ($17 off with coupon) - available in 7 colors
  • Sport-Fi M6P In-Ear Headset: $21.99 ($18 off with coupon) - available in 7 colors. The M6P adds a microphone, remote, and universal volume control to the M6.
  • Sport-Fi S6P workout package: $29.99 ($30 off with coupon) - sorry, red/black color is the only one in stock. The S6P improves on the M6P with enhanced sweat resistance and includes our new touchscreen-compatible sports armband, a modular cable system to eliminate excessive slack, and a premium carrying case.
  • All units are covered in full by our 1-year warranty except against intentional abuse, accidents, or acts of god.

Coupon code is "OzBargainSportFi". All prices in USD. There is a limit of 2 units per order and the coupon will expire next Thursday, 10/17/13, at midnight PST.

International postage via 1st class mail is $8.95, same as before, and does not change with number of units. Delivery times vary but are typically between 10 and 20 business days for the cheapest shipping method. FedEx Priority is also available at an additional cost and delivers in just a few days.

As many of you guys already know, we try to deliver the very best value for your money when it comes to headphones and earphones. Our products have consistently received excellent feedback from customers and reviewers alike. The M6 and S6 models have been featured in a few sports headphone roundups:

Last time there were quite a few questions about headset compatibility. Generally, our headsets work out of the box with devices from Apple, Blackberry, HTC, LG, and Motorola. Certain older Samsung phones, such as the first-generation Galaxy S, as well as older Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones, may require an adapter as they use a different headset jack. If you're not sure if your phone will work, check out our Microphone/remote info page or just ask me. The M6 model, which has no headset functionality, will work any device as long as it has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

As before, I will gladly answer any questions as best I can. All comments and suggestions are welcome as well!

I can also be contacted at [email protected] or directly at mike(at)s2einc.com .

Thank you all for your feedback and support!

      That's next :)

      • oh yes……!!!!

  • +2

Great stuff….I don't need another set though. Great deal all the same +ve

  • +1

d'oh . would've prefered these ones compared to the ones i bought from the first sale LOL thanks

  • OP - what changes did you make on the second generation M6P?

Edit: I have the original M6's and have found that they drop out of my ears after 15mins of running due to sweat. Do the M6P's (2nd gen) or S6P's perhaps address this?

    • +3

The Second-gen M6P has a completely redesigned microphone and more and include a volume control (which the 1st gen didn't have). It is also available in 7 colors whereas the original M6P was only made in black.

Regarding the fit - if the tips are tight enough in your ear they should keep the sweat out. If they're working their way our of your ears, you might need to use a longer eartip. Just make sure you put them in properly before starting your workou so you don't have to re-adjust them and let sweat in. Our fit guide might help: http://www.meelec.com/fit

      • Thanks Mike!

      • Oops that should have said "redesigned microphone and remote"

  • Sweet, just purchased a S6P, will be looking forward to it.

  • Got the sports pack - will make a perfect birthday present!

Not sure who wouldn't pay the extra $10 for the pack :)

    • Don't really see any advantage of the Sports pack to be honest. Yeah i get that there is an extension cable included but at the end of the day, the even with the extension, the overall cable length is the same, 130cm or 51" and in my opinion, the extension is just another part that could break.
Could be handy for some people, but for majority, i doubt it.
The only other difference is the armband.

      All technical specs are identical.

      • +2

Maybe you don't go to the gym and use weights or x-trainer then. Armband for your phone and less slack makes for a much better experience.

  • Awesome, got the sport ones a few bargain's back but really wanted the ones with the inline mic!

  • Thanks Mike! Ask and ye shall receive :D

  • Hi Rep,
Would you mind confirming the Sport-Fi S6P workout package will work out of the box with the Samsung S4? You didnt mention the latest Samsung in your out of the box list of compatable headset manufacturer types.

    thanks

    • Yep, all of the Galaxies except for the original S1 work with our headsets.

      • perfect, ordered - thanks!

  • Thanks! Ordered the S6P with armband! Perfect combo as i dont have a place to put my phone at the moment!

  • Failed to resist this time & bought two…

    • Just received my order, which makes it amost-2-weeks from order to delivery. Not bad, and pretty good headphones for the price.

  • +1

    Mike,
Do the sports armband come in different sizes to suit different phones?
Samsung S3/4 is significantly larger than iphones, so will require a larger armband.

    • Based on my experience you're better off getting an armband made for your device specifically though I haven't used the armband being sold here.

    • The armband is one-size-fits-most. It's meant for devices with screen diagonals up to 4.9" . If you have a fat or non-smooth case on your S4 you might have to take it off.

  • True to your word. Thanks for the deal.
Was thinking of getting one of each, S6P and M6P, but since the cord length is the same and I don't really care about the armband, i think i might just go with the M6P only.

    • That's why it's great to have options!

  • Dealt with Mike for a warranty claim. This companies customer service is exemplary.

  • How do these compare to Logitech UE 200's?

    • I used to own a UE 600, which I felt was quite patchy build wise. Died after 6 months.
I also own Sport-Fi M6's which are excellent. They've lasted the time at the gym, a lot better build quality and are still going strong since Nov 2012.

Have just bought two M6P's as I have to take calls at the gym sometimes. Cheers OP

  • +3

I just want old, classic late 90's, early 00's Sony ones - with the ACTUALLY THICK CABLE on them. Like these.
https://www.google.com/search?q=%22MDR-E737%22&hl=en&tbm=isc… they don't break easily due to deliberately cheap cables.

  • Damn you MEElectronics - making me buy stuff I don't need … your gear is just too good to pass on at that price, comfortable and a good sound balance.

  • Hi Mike, do u know if this earphone would work with small earlobes? I bought a pair of philps one http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/117921 before and he cant use it.
    Thanks

    • I guess it depends - our sports earphones use an over-the-ear system that "suspends" the earphones into the ear. They are not kept in place by parts of the ear like many other earbuds. However, if the issue was that the outer ear was simply too small to fit the Philips earphones, I don't think our earphones will work as they are about the same size.

  • Excellent thanks, I needed sports earphones! I just bought 2 pairs.

  • what is the sound quality like compared to the M9 series. I have an M9 and would like to get this one for someone.

    • +1

They are quite similar but the M6 has a slightly more forward midrange and a slightly warmer tone. The M9 tends to be more v-shaped in terms of frequency response.

  • Bought two M6 Thanks OP

  • Hi Mike, are M6P and S6P compatible with Nokia Lumia 720? I tried a iphone-compatible philps earphone and it didn't work with my Lumia 720.

  • Ordered a pair, thanks OP!

  • Awesome, my favourite gym headphones show up on Ozbargain, think I'll get another couple of pairs, thanks!

  • Great offer again - picked up the A161 last time, and just purchased another 2 pairs of M6. Thanks!

  • Good price, bought my M6 for 24 dollars about 4 month ago I think…

Have to say no complain with this headphones, just what I need for running.

  • How will an iPod touch (thinner 3rd/4th gen) go in the armband slot? Will it work ok, or is it mainly designed to fit thicker larger devices?

    • I think it'll be fine - the armband is pretty tight. I'll try an iPod touch when I'm back at the office tomorrow and report back.

    • Just tried it and it works perfectly with the 5G touch. Your arm keeps it pressed against the outside of the armband so it doesn't move and you can use the touchscreen.

      • Thanks a lot Mike

  • Hi Mike, the Green/Black S6P are now marked as 'Out of Stock' on your website. Can they still be ordered ? Will you be getting more stock ?

    • We don't normally allow back orders but there's a chance we'll receive a shipment of the green ones Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

      • Thanks Mike

        • +1

The green S6P is now in stock ;)

  • Can you offer discounts on any of your other headphone ranges? Looking at your bluetooth range.

    Thanks :)

    • +1

Yes, a promotion on those in the works for later this month. There were just more votes for Sports earphones last time around.

  • Bought..looking forward to great deal on Air-fi!

    • Noted!

  • Anyone have both the Sennheiser CX300s + M6/M6Ps, can compare the difference in sound?
    Trying to resist :|

  • The M6s I bought earlier this year just died yesterday and now I only get sound in one year during my gym workouts…sigh

    • It's covered by a 1-year warranty so if you'd like it replaced just send an email to [email protected] with your order number (or receipt if you didn't buy it from us directly).

  • +1

Thanks, just purchased! My first order, unlike everybody else here it seems!

  • +3

My standard ipod headphones are coping a bit of abuse at the gym so this should make a good replacement. I would also like to add; great job rep. This is how you do bargains. Great price and communication with the community. Other reps take note.

    • Thank you :)

  • It would cost this much just for the armband here. Awesome deal, especially if the Meelecs are as good as everyone says.

Definitely looking forward to the Bluetooth sale.

  • I bought a pair of MEE S6's for running but was severely disappointed by the quality:

    • Not sweat resistant enough as one ear dropped out due to sweat after 20 minutes.
    • In ear design was still vulnerable to falling out every 2-3 minutes requiring them to be pushed in "on the go" which is a lot harder than normal earbuds.

The S6's are great value, but they are nothing compared to apple earbuds/earpods.

    • There is a one-year warranty against sweat and any other issues you may have. They don't normally go out after 20 minutes (obviously) but if they do we are happy to replace them.

Regarding the fit - if the tips are tight enough in your ear they should keep the sweat out and the earphones in. If they're working their way our of your ears, you might need to use a longer eartip and adjust the memory wire to be tighter. Just make sure you put them in properly before starting your workout so you don't have to re-adjust them and let sweat in. Our fit guide might help: http://www.meelec.com/fit

  • Had to get 2 to share the postage cost :)

  • Hey Mike, can you send me the email for order issues pls? The is no response for my order issue.

    • +1

Apologies, went out of town for the weekend. I'll get through all of my email ASAP.

Edit: if you haven't done so already, you can email me directly using the email provided in the first post - mike(at)s2einc.com

  • Hi mike,

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the s6 doesn't come with a mic and remote?

    Cheers

  • Another hand up here for the bluetooth headphones.

    • Thank you, noted!

  • +2

Just unloaded a container full of green S6Ps so for anyone who wanted a green one, they can be found here: http://www.meelec.com/Sport_Fi_S6P_Earphone_Workout_Package_…

  • Got these yesterday, they're great. Thanks!

  • Glad some of you are getting your earphones already!

For those who asked for a deal on our Bluetooth wireless headphones, I just posted one here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/119911

    • Oh Mike I came on today to buy some (my current M9's microphone seems to be echoing) and these have volume control which I miss. Any chance of letting one through after the expiry?

      • Sure, please send me a private message (I can't initiate private messages on here) or an email and I'll provide a coupon.

        • are you going to run an M6P or S6p sale again ?

        • Thanks for your interest in the Sport-Fi earphones!

We have a very special promotion planned for next week that will include just one of the Sport-Fi models. There are no other promo slots for November, but I can do another Sport-Fi deal in December if there is still interest after next week's deal.

  • Hi Guys,

For those who have asked for another earphone promotion - we are running a random earphone "grab bag" type deal for Black Friday. Details can be found here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/124534 and the Sport-Fi M6P Second Generation is one of the included models!
