  • I clicked the link and it says offer expired!

  • Is the deal expired ?
I tried a few times in the last minutes and it said the deal expired.
Hopefully I just went to the wrong link and deal still on

  • Has anyone signed up for this deal yet? It's showing expired for me also.

  • +1

Not expired - I just saved this deal by logging into Amex website

    • Ditto - definitely still there. I'd be surprised if 20,000 cards had already applied this.

  • it's working for me

    • i wonder if people used a different browser/cleared cache, cookies etc it would work ?

  • working under offers section after logging onto www.americanexpress.com/australia/

    • +1

Doesn't look like that website is available to Bank Issued AMEX. Anyone with a Bank Issued card able to get the offer? The Amex Connect page is still coming up expired for me, logged in or not.

      • My Amex is not bank issued but the offer doesn't appear when I log in

        • same here.. I've never had an offer appear there

        • Not appearing for me either - amex issued card.

  • +2

Confirmed that it is available after logging on and going to 'Offers' section. Registered both my AMEX cards, so that will help cover the cost of Christmas booze. p.s. I have AMEX issued AMEX cards.

  • +5

Can you buy gift vouchers in Liquorland? Vouchers that can be spent in Coles?

    • I would like to know this also.

    • +8

      Yes - I just purchased a $50 coles-myer group card

      • That's awesome!

      • Thanks kingsville!

      • +1

Did you get a credit notification?

        • not yet - I registered through 'offers' on amex directly so i'm not sure if I will.

      • $20 credit yet?

        • +4

I did exactly this. Bought a $50 gift card, then used the $5 off purchases above $30 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/127200) deal bringing it down to $45. I then took advantage of the Kopparberg BOGOF offer (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/127199) for $7 bringing everything to $52 and thus eligible for the $20 amex rebate.

Just got this email last night:

          Dear Cardmember,

Congratulations! You have completed all the qualifying transactions on your registered Card ending in xxxxx.

Your $20 credit back for spending over $50 at Liquorland will be issued to your registered Card account.

          Yours sincerely,
          American Express

  • I have an Amex issued Platinum Edge card, but that offer is not available.

  • Can we add offers to supplementary cards issued by Amex?

    • Yes SickDmith. You should be able to register supplementary card if they are registered for the offer separately at amexconnect.com.au

    Thanks

  • Still cheaper at DM ;)

      1) Register for Liquorland deal.
      2) Buy $50 Coles & Myer gift card.
      3) Go into First Choice, have them price match Dan Murphy's.
      4) ???
      5) Profit.

      • -3

Don't you have to pay with AMEX?

        • +3

Step 2 - buy gift card with AMEX.

        • Does Liquorland sell Coles & Myer gift card as well? Normally we buy the Coles & Myer gift cards from Coles or Kmart….

        • I would also like to know if they sell Coles & Myer gift cards???

Edit - just saw above comments and it seems you can buy gift cards as well. Great find OP

        • +6

Yes. I just bought one at Liquorland Express on Russell St (Melbourne). The T&Cs say nothing about gift cards, so they must be eligible.

      • Any idea if this voucher applies to giftcard purchase?

        www.ozbargain.com.au/node/127200

    • LL are currently price beating on select products, their prices are on par with DM for a fair few products this time of year too.

      • +2

There's 6 products that LL will price match, nothing else. Best deal is on Baileys IMO, $21.70 last time I checked

  • +6

Alcohol in Australia is very expensive!

  • +1

    Awesome offer!! Thanks.

  • +1

There could be a few hangovers, regrets and bag girls because of this deal.

    • +1

I registered my bank issued card using Joni's link 5 minutes after you posted this and I just got the confirmation email.

      • +1

Not expired. Just registered and got the email.

    • +1

Still works via Joni's link… NOT EXPIRED

  • So gift cards work here??

    • Waiting for the credit to appear, but there's nothing in the T&Cs to suggest they don't.

  • +1

Last time for the David Jones offer, I got an email confirmation for receiving the statement credit the moment that I paid at the checkout… hope that's going to be an ongoing thing for all their offers!

    • What did you buy?

I have signed up for the DJ Amex offer but during a recent shop visit I found nothing that was worth the price (even considering the statement credit). Maybe they have something for me during the boxing day sale…

      • Gift voucher.

        • +1

Yes, that was perfect for Liquorland - I'll probably use the gift card at Kmart for homebrew stuff.

Does David Jones sell gift cards that can be used elsewhere?

      • I got DJs to price match Toys R Us during their 20% off LEGO sale.

  • just worked with westpac black earth amex.. received email confirming.

edit: Liquorland website down.. spitting errors.

  • Expired?

  • +1

Hmmm just saved it to my card on my account. It worked, so hopefully not expired. Thanks OP

  • enrolled - works as per Joni's link https://enroll.amexnetwork.com/AU/en/liquorland/

  • Now to stock up on some Australian Owned & Brewed beer for New Years & Australia Day!

    • Wonder if that works for gift cards.

      • buy the gift card first, then buy anything over $30 using vourcher and giftcard, solved.

        • Not if your planning on buying Coles Myer gift cards.

        • Can not use a Coles Myer gift card in Liquorland?

        • +1

Given they sell them there, it's a fairly safe bet. :)
