        They can't open on boxing day in NSW. Well that's according to Target rep I spoke on the phone with (they said it's same for all other stores). I checked all stores around my area online and they are closed both xmas and boxing day.

        Edit: I looked up google (lol) and it seems that they are allowed to trade. Wonder why I was told my them that they were closed..

      Don't know, other than reports of other ozbargainers saying that they have contacted staff from microsoft as well as big retailers and those staff have attempted to promote the promotion.

      Also the deal seems to be supported by the big retailers. Look around in the Xbox 360 thread.

      It amazes me how sceptical people are about this. It's in both the Big W and Target catalogues.

      Same goes for people assuming the Slim is not included based on a picture, or inconsistent reports from one ozbargainer. Read the T&Cs and tell me where it excludes the Slim.

      When you checkout it says "Item ships directly from vendor."

      This means that your order is being shipped to your selected store from Big W supplier so you won't be able to pick it up until your store actually receives the stock.

      This is probably why all the Big W promotional material says to buy at the Big register as otherwise you won't receive your item before the 31/12 deadline.

    Got it for $48 (after cashback) in total using $50 off voucher HN sent me last week.

    The only condition with the voucher is I have to spend at least $200 so I added $3 Philips AA battery 12pk.

    Not a gamer so just bought it for a back up DVD player ( pity that this thing can't even play blu-ray discs).

    I just ask the bigw online service… There is a man told me that xbox360 at bigw online is not bundle one…
    But on the catalogues it was said"Xbox 360 4GB Console Plus 360 Batman Arkham Origins Bundle
    Available online from 23rd December. In stores from 26th December."
    So, does anyone else ask the bigw to confirm it?

    Got this today, then walked into EB with Batman (didn't need it), was able to get a value of $25 for it ($58 RRP), didn't mind because it was too much hassle to resell at higher price. Got some pre-owned games instead at EB and saved some cash.

    I just bought 1 @ bigw dapto 9:30am . They had plenty , said "heaps out back" . I actually got the slim S version rather than the E version . I simply asked for it , and the guy in store checked sides of box, some were E and some were S (where contents of box listed) . Hope this helps others . Also , Re trading game at eb, a poster said $25 but at dapto store eb offered only $19 trade in . Set trade price based on 30% of new value I think they said . Get more trade in if ur at certain level of the eb card . Same trade in value new or used , so I will try it then trade in later probably . Thanks OP and others post with good advice .     Purchased halo 3 for $9 marked down from $14 pre owned at eb . Got some other Xbox only games also and somehow they were cheaper than marked price , guess it pays to be pleasant and nice to staff . For anyone else who already owns ps3, eb games said "forza" (like gran T) , Halo, and "gears Of War" are the best Xbox only titles . If anyone knows others, I would like to know . Thanks .

    Why would anyone choose the S over the E version?

    Apart from the newer version having 1 less USB and no Optical Output,
    I could only see this being an issue is you have 3 external HDDs connected and connecting the Optical Output to an amp.

    Help me if I have missed the point.

      I like the style of the S better, and having touch controls is nicer than the cheap buttons on the E. But that's a minor thing; I bought whichever was available and ended up and an E.

      1. For the purposes of this promotion, pre-ordering an Xbox 360 4GB console through an Australian retailer will not be deemed an Eligible Purchase. Further, the Offer is not available for products that are still awaiting arrival into store or delivery to the customer.

      That last part says delivery to customer is not eligible, so you just spent $193 on it with no cash back.
