Xbox 360 4GB Console + 2 Games + FREE Delivery $169 (after $100 Cashback)

2510

EDIT The price is now $199.(25th DEC)

EDIT 2…The offer is back. (26th DEC)

EDIT 3…Out of stock (27th DEC)

I think this one trumps all the others guys.
grababargain's comment got me curious whether the Microsoft store is included in the promotion.
Ringing up, I found out that it does qualify, so long as I purchase between the promotional period.

Currently there's also an offer for 2 FREE games, although the rep couldn't guarantee if it would still be available on the 26th. Although I would assume it would, as the fineprint states: "Offer valid from 15 November 2013 until 14 January 2014, while supplies last."

EDIT: You have to print out the emailed receipt from the Microsoft store as well as the page(s) from xbox360cashback.com.au and mail it to them no later than the 31st of January.
The cash back will be deposited into your selected bank account in 8-12 weeks.

This is a much better deal. Thanks OP.

  • +1

This is even better still (as pointed out by intothefray): https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/127244

    • +1

      Ahhh, unfortunately I'm in WA…
Also, unclear if it's part of the promotion.

    • +1

Only if you want the extras.

      • +1

Yeah, not sure if its eligible. If it is, it would be $49 + $5 shipping after cash back.

    • +1

Looks like a regular Slim to me, not the E - so more than likely not possible to claim cashback. NEIN!

      • +1

It said 'E' not less than an hour ago. Bing Lee have updated the product description.

        • I purchased an Xbox from the Bing Lee deal but received a 'Slim' console rather than the 'Elite' which was stated on the website, so i contacted them today regarding a return and refund, so they must have updated the website after i spoke to them.

        • The Elite systems were replaced by the "S" versions nearly three and a half years ago. The S consoles were in turn replaced by the new "E" systems nearly six months ago. Did you really think you were going to get a new "Elite" model?

        • +1

Well considering the website said under product specs "Xbox 360 E Black Console 4GB" - yea i did figure i would get an 'E' console. Crazy huh?

        • +3

You said "Elite" - not "E". Considering that, in the context of Xboxes, "Elite" is very different to "E" (i.e. the Elite was discontinued years ago) - no wonder I didn't know what you were talking about.

  • +2

Whats the process with claming the cash back? Link?

Alsao considering the promo is between the 25th and 31st its abit hard to say the price will stay this until then

    • +2

      Broken link currently, but…

Was just about to post this. Actually, I'll add it to the post.

      • +2

So it's really $169 for 4Gb console +2 games currently.
Only $69 after 26/12 if there's any stock left and free games (if any left) may not apply then.

        • +1

Well the free games offer is slated to end on the 14th of January, unless stocks run out. So I'm fairly confident the offer will still be there. Unless Microsoft pulls a move, that is.

        • +1

          unless stocks run out

The offer might still be there, but there's definitely a chance some of the game choices will disappear over the next few days. Halo 4 was one of the options when the deal was posted to OzBargain last month, but that's no longer available: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/123786

  • Do we have to get the kinect seperately?

    • +1

I'm looking forward to a kinect bundle as well

      • where's the cheapest place for Kinect?

        • I bought a white kinect that came with a few games (4 on discs and 1 download code) for $69 about 2 weeks ago from JB HiFi.

        • hi digitalaxon, which JB did you purchase? are you able to share your receipt? thanks!

    • +1

Yes. Odd to include Kinect games, even though the bundle doesn't even come with the Kinect itself!

  • +2

*Waits for $25 console after cashback…

    • +2

      or FREE after cashback

      • +1

        or -$25 after cashback!

        • +2

ahhhh … the memories of the FREE Dlink AC1750 router and pocket $25

        • wow you did better than me….I only got $15 plus a free router ($85 - $100)

    • +1

Yeah will be interesting if someone could trump this deal.

  • +3

Could this be spam / phishing. Asking for Username/password one might be confused and enter usual password
Whoislookup, does not seem to point to Microsoft

Dude, the Microsoft store rep is the one who referred me to that site.

      • Just asking. I believe your honesty, hey member since 2009, but you might have been scammed. I have been scamed once or twice. I do not see anything in the internet, about $100 cashback, except Target catalogue and OZBargain. And seriously, such a discount is almost too good to be true.

        • +5

but surely a target and big W catalogue promoting a $100 cashback would be viable enough?

    • +1

Mate, i think the website is still under construction.

  • +1

so can't buy it now ? need to wait till 26th 12am?

    • Yes. But I wouldn't buy it on the dot, just to be safe.

      • +1

thanks mate, see any update bundle deals with kinect too

      • +1

why not, what do you mean "to be safe"?

        • +2

Ehhh, timezones, little system quirks. I'd buy it at 0030 AEST earliest

  • +1

    going crazy now!

  • +1

so how does this work, do we buy it now?

    • +3

No. You MUST buy it during the promo period, which begins on the 26th of December.

      • +1

        Thanks

  • +1

the cashback site looks suspicious but i think its legit since bigw is also linking it that site.

    • +1

Must buy between 26 Dec and 31 December, but can start claiming the 25 Dec (According to bigW catalogue ) …. it stinks

  • +1

Every time i try to access www.xbox360cashback.com.au it's coming up with a login box asking for username and password and says the server reports under construction. Is this normal?

    • +3

      yep, read the comments above…

  • +1

That's about the cost of a new controller…holy crap!

Any similar deals for PS3? Want to complete my collection! haha

  • +2

But this deal isn't confirmed, correct? The price could go up between now and the start of the promotional period.

The only confirmed deals are the Big W and Target deals at this time?

  • +1

When I click on the link for this deal it takes me to the home page

    Where is the direct link?

    • +1

It works for me and it doesn't seem like a personalized link…

      • +1

Why is this cashback offer not visible on the Microsoft page?

      • +1

can you screenshot the page if it is working for you?

  • Wonder if this deal gets the cashback?

    http://www.bigw.com.au/entertainment/video-games-consoles/xb…

    Xbox 360 E 4GB Console with Battlefield 4 for $188 ($88 after cashback)?

    • +1

Probably not. They'll either remove the deal before the 26th or the price will go up.

      • +1

new deal is batman arkham for $198. available in store from 26th but available online from the 23rd

  • +2

This is complete goddamn madness at this point, I don't even like the 360 and I'm considering it FFS.

    • +2

Yeah i've never bought an Xbox 360 the reason being it doesn't do blu-ray. Been a PS3 player. But i suppose that's what the Xbox One is for now.

  • +1

    Thanks OP:)
This is Crazy bargain I've ever seen!!!
    Even I have a PS3, I think I will grab one as back-up.
However, is there any detail instruction how to get it?
For example: 1, where to buy? (the website in the link?)
2, how to get cash back after purchase?
    and so on…
    Hope to know these…
    MerryXmas to all.

    • +4

It's all in the post, buddy :)

  • +2

Very good deal. I'd buy 1 at this price for a backup! If Sony were smart, they'd be doing the same with any leftover slim consoles in stores before the drop the price on the super slim…

  • +2

    https://xbox360cashback.com.au/

That site is down? or not working?

    • +2

      Under construction, as it says

    • +2

They have locked out access with a generic "under construction" message

      • +2

I get a pop up saying log in

Did it again and now I see the U/C part

        • +3

Fake URL ? Scam ? Why is not microsoft the owner of the cashback site ?

  • +2

As a non-xbox user some advice on the 2 free games:
    GoW3, GoW:Judgement, Fable: The Journey

    which 2 would be recommended?

    • +2

      GOW3 & Judgment

  • +2

What's the best way to expand the storage one of those?

    • +3

Buy the 320GB add-on Hard Drive mate. Can be got cheap these days, around $50-80 I have seen it, I got mine for $59

  • +2

What retailers are in on this $100 deal? Does it have a list of ones that you must buy from?

    • +2

No list… yet. I suspect that xbox360cashback.com.au will have more details.

      • +2

        once it works

  • +2

Please note that only 2 retailers have confirmed ( in catalogue) prices for Xbox 360, bigw bundle $98 and target $79 after cash back.

JB , HN, Bing lee and MS store can put up the price on or before 26th.
There is no guarantee they will be selling at today' s price on 26th.

They have 5 more days to adjust the price.

So this deal is actually unconfirmed deal.

  • +3

    So,
We can go to a store (not online except Microsoft?) between the 26th and 31st of December, buy an Xbox 360 E 4GB and then go through the motions to claim $100 cashback from MS.

    Sound about right?

  • +2

just got off the online chat from microsoft online store…. it seems that microsoft is not aware of the promotion themselves or atleast the consultant didnt know about it…. could it be that this $100 refund is spam??

    • +2

It's at proper retail stores though ?

      • +1

It's not a scam if Target have it on the brochure

        • +1

thats true…my only point is that op is saying that we can buy xbox from microsoft online store and get the $100 but as per microsoft its not available from their store… some people will buy it from microsoft store to get one additional game…

      • +1

its microsoft's own online store…same as the link posted by op above….

  • +1

I just spoke with someone on the phone from the microsoft store and asked if students get a 10% off with the xmas deal and she said no and prompted to tell me about the $100 cashback promotion. She told me to contact JB Hifi and other retails to see if they are participating. She was definitely aware of the deal though.

  • +1

Nice. setting a reminder for this one.

  • +3

nice. buy a wireless controller and get a xbox for free

  • +3

Chatted online. The sales person said the www.xbox360cashback.com.au is not their website…their only official website is www.microsoftstore.com

    • +2

I can honestly say I've never seen an Xbox (or Microsoft) cashback promo run by them - it's always done through a 3rd party.

  • +2

Hmm, what am I going to do with 2 Xbox?
How am I going to justify this?

    • +1

I bought three Xboxs for more than $200 each progressively since 2006.

I'm sure you can justify spending $69 after cash back on this quite easily!

      • +1

Lol I am very temped, but can't see the need for one… :(

    • +1

This will be my 5th 360… just go with it. ;)

  • +1

Well don't you need 3 consoles to do forza rear/side screens?

    Edit: I dunno I have a ps3 and I'm considering one.

  • +1

Ok, so we can buy this now and have it eligible for the cashback?

*ok, from the 26th of December. :)

    • +1

No. As far as I can see.

  • +15

Thought this was a great bargain till my 9 year old pointed out you can get an xbox one for free , with free delivery on Xmas morning. Proviso must believe in Santa and be really good.

    • +2

You have taught him well. A good start in life and an Ozbargain's way. The force is strong.

  • -1

Can I ask how and when you got told about this Promotion. This has been embargoed up until the 25th/26th for retail stores ??

    • +3

why? so s/he can get a disciplinary action of some sort?

      • -1

No, its just because certain technicalities for the promotion aren't live at the present time. We have T&C for consumers as-well which can be found in-store on flyers…

        • +6
