Just be aware that Milan Direct ships via Toll which means you have to be home for delivery (or have it shipped to your work).

I don't know why but it also takes Toll forever to deliver. I am 3km from the Milan Direct warehouse and it still takes Toll 2-3 weeks to get deliveries to me.

    • In the delivery comments I put that they have permission to leave it if no one is home. Not sure if this will be enough for them, but here's hoping…

      • +2

If you're not there, TOLL will leave an authority to leave form. You then have to ring their delivery centre and leave out the signed authority and they will deliver the following whenever and leave it where they should have left it before.

      • This worked for me on the last Milan / Utensil / Toll deal.

    • Received mine from the last deal only last week from Toll.

  • Dishwash safe?

  • AHAHAHA thanks to this post, I've seen 4 "Someone from —- just purchased Sunrise 7pc Kitchen Utensil Set - Multi-Colour - Silicone. See product" pop-ups.

Might get some cheap 60cm Christmas trees for this year too.

    • what happen to the christmas tree deal. i can't find it any more.

Looks like a good deal, but beware the photo is different to the description. It shows a pastry brush that is not listed - the list has a 'perforated spoon' that is not shown. The big question: will you get anything similar to depicted?

  • Ozbargained. Out of Stock.

  • Sold out…

  • Out of Stock

It's backed…you can still press Add to Cart :)

    • Confirm, just ordered my set!

  • I am getting $14 and free delivery

    • Yep, looks like the price has been increased to $14 :(

  • Now $14 :-(

  • The price was increased to $14 while I was trying to checkout …

    • I added it to the cart when it was $9, then proceed to continue browsing for other items on sale. Didn't notice the price was increased by the time I checked out. Only glanced at the total amount.

  • Now $15 :(

  • $14 now?

Is this a valid reason to neg? Issues with the seller..
Obviously realised they are selling ok so put the price up..

    • -3

You'd neg the deal based on what? The fact you missed out?

      • +5

Bait and switch.. Issues with seller.. Sorry he set the price.. and then changed it after he sold a lot of them..

        • +1

I didn't neg the deal at all… Check what I wrote or check who voted

I didn't say you neg'd the deal, I asked if 'you'd neg the deal' based on your question 'Is this a valid reason to neg?

        • What are you talking about?

Besides why accuse me of wanting to neg because I missed out.. I dont want the deal in the first place..

        • +4

Nice quick edit of your post…

    • +1

Is it how stock market works? :)

      • +5

No.. Stocks and plastic spoons are sold very much differently

    • +5

Neg coz of bad advertising and price switching.
This company sells normally $19 on ebay not $49

      • Bait & switch, plus misleading sale information & RRP.

  • Now back to $14, wierd

  • -2

    bait and switch 101

wheres the accc when you need them

    • -8

Don't neg the deal coz you missed out! Plenty of people got it at $9.

      • -6

I bought them at $9, for no reason at all price has increased to $14.

Nice bait though, and attempt at baiting.

Careful tightarse, you'll use all your daily negs on my post.

Careful tightarse, you'll use all your daily negs on my post.

For what it's worth storyteller, I didn't neg you once.

      • -1

Thanks for all the neg's guys. Don't know what I did to deserve it, and sometimes I wonder why I waste my time posting bargains.

        • +1

Hi tightarse, Thanks I got a set.

There seem to be several purposes for a post

1- To contribute and help out fellow bargain hunters
2- To provide a canvas for those who feel the need paint negativity everywhere (usually instead of posting themselves).
3- Occupy the self appointed grammar police

        • +1

btw. 592 posts. Well done and thanks.

        • +1

To contribute and help out fellow bargain hunters.

Great to see others sharing my sentiments. Many thanks for the support tonka.

          sometimes

You're behind, I've stopped wondering ages ago. People mostly neg (and pos) comments for very little to no reason, just to get on the bandwagon. I'm with you though, that's not a valid reason to neg the deal.

        • +2

Tbh you should be wondering. I would find something better to do.
Why bother putting your Rep on the line for side stupid company or stupid bargainers
          But thanks for the bargains.

        • Btw you should join the dark side and become a troll like me. :p

  • +1

    Mine is showing $14.

  • -1

$14 for these still doesn't seem like too bad a deal.

Beats a kick in the face.

  • +1

The 9 bucks seemed like it was worth a try of them. Extra 5 bucks will buy me lunch instead. Now I get 3 lunches instead of buying these

    • +8

Buy a man lunch and he will eat for a day, but teach a man to cook using the 7pc Silicone Kitchen Utensil Set from Milandirect and he will eat for a lifetime…

      • +1

he just needs to get his own ingredients, cookware and have some idea on how to cook ;D

  • Still avail at $14, I would change title and unmark as expired.

    • Thanks Brouw3r. Just did it.

Edit: just asked the mod for comment on whether to expire the deal at $9 or leave it open at $14.

    • +2

You cant really. Its a different deal.
Some of the people that voted for it at $9 might not think its such as bargain at $14.
Post a new bargain if you think it warrants it

  • +3

They are normally $19 inc metro shipping on their ebay store.

    • +2

So need to fix title to normally $19, not $49

  • Thanks OP, got a set at the discounted price.

  • -6

Sorry I am going to neg this as you can get the same items if not better in Target for $2 per piece

  • Hmm Milan is near the coast so does that make them cousins of Fishpond who are real good at adjusting their prices as they go along

  • How hot can this handle?

  • +5

They are $19 with delivery on their ebay store, not normally $49. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MILAN-DIRECT-Sunrise-7pc-Kitchen-…

  • Thanks for sharing. I've been meaning to get a new spatula for a while. Mum wasn't too happy when I destroyed her favourite one the last time I tried to melt some chocolate.

  • so much hate/negging. (this will prolly get negged too) :(

    • +4

      Must be the hot weather.

  • They originally reduced these to $9 but now they choose not to. Should we be encouraging this increased price? Its not our fault nobody else wanted them.

  • +7

This post was put up correctly by the OP in good faith by the OP. It is not his fault that the seller increased the price. Thanks TA.

    • +1

      True indeed.

    • It is not his fault that the seller increased the price.

Finally some sense prevails. Many thanks for the support povertytrap.

Sorry, I purchased the previous deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/127750

The utensils were floppy and the plastic melted when heated up. The difference between the ones I purchased and this one is that this one is covered in colorful silicone.

However, the delivery was very quick.

    • Yeah, got this one as well with same results. Ended up buying the silicone ones for $9 last week.

  • Silicon definitely belongs in the kitchen

  • Probably better off just buying a 5-6 pack of Smart Buy utensils from Big W for $3. They're nothing fancy - plain black, and no silicon edges, but very durable (bought a pack a few months back - no complaints yet).

    • Wife bought a silicone spatula from Big W but the internal material gives readily and is not stiff enough to be of any use.

      • +1

So how does the spatula perform.

        • …sorry bigW, the dodgy spatula was bought from the T2 tea shop.
We use our our better quality stiffer silicone spatulas.

  • Can't see one item in this set which would make me want to spend out their increasing or decreasing prices. The ones I use now have been owned for many years ( cheap & cheerfuls ) but do have back-ups as the old ones are in need of replacing. The back-ups were purchased from Woollies & are extremely sturdy + dishwasher & husband safe! From memory I think they were $1.00 each on special. So to my mind when I need another utensil it will be back to Woollies or Big W

  • For those that are wondering, purchased yesterday and I got shipping notification this morning. Was delivered to my work an hour later… Amazed they would use Toll for a $9 item?

  • I got mine today.

Missing the brush but got two of the blue pasta servers. Did anyone here happen to get one extra brush?

  • Received mine today, I got the brush & no perforated spoon mentioned in the description.

  • Just an update on this. I got two sets for my new Myer frypans and the quality on these utensils is alright I suppose. Nothing fantastic. The ladles are a little small for my liking. The brush thing seems useless.
The other items like the spatulas seem too flimsy and flexible.

I also ordered some wooden chopping boards which came up on the suggestions when I was on the site. They're only 1 step up from balser wood and they seem really poorly made, cheap and nasty, and pretty worthless. I'm sure they'll fail shortly. They're really thin too.
