          You can, I entered my staff card on other things and it works. Was something about it in the EBA, but your staff card might not work since it's already a huge discount.

    Excellent prices on macs. $934.15 for the base model 11" air and $1061.65 for the base 13" air. The optimal rmbp which I own with the 8gb/256gb combination will be $1571.65 which is excellent value!

      Yes. We will remember Easter Saturday 2014 as the start of the demise of Apple worldwide.

      The way Apple has traditionally restricted discounting was to offer very small margins to retailers. I would say that at 15% off DSE will be losing money.

      I do love me some good Apple goodness but their business model is coming under increasing competition with better alternatives coming to market. Like the great Nexus 7 keyboard I am using now so I don't need to type every letter individually.

        $250 gift card purchase for $50 off… seems like 20% to me.
        Was available on supp cards also and had 8 bites at it.
        Total gift card purchase $2000 with $400 credit immediately… still looks like 20% to me but please correct my maths by all means.

          Between family, yes juice.
          One wife ,2 adult children.
          One primary Plat edge with 3 supps = 4 cards
          Each of us have the Qan Amex Express Card = 4 cards.
          4 plus 4 = 8 … not sure what your addition comes to.

          If you like I will post the card numbers along with Amex logon and password details
          so you can even check the balances..
          Also have a Westpac Visa and Qan Woolworths Mastercard, both with supp cards, if you would like those details as well.

          Btw even using a calculator 250/50 still seems to come to 20%…what do you get?

          Just defending a position that was questioned.
          The deal was not less 35% which I did not claim…..it was an extra 20% on top of the DS deal which imho comes to less 32% overall.
          I still think the amex DJ deal was fantastic especially to those who have access to multiple cards and do not expect to see it again.

          Anyway its Easter, the sun is shining in Bris and all are healthy.
          Lets bury the hatchet and move on

      Apparently the Sydney Apple Store was telling people that DSE were selling old models because they refused to match the 15% off. I picked up a 13" rMBP yesterday at DSE and the poor clerk asked me if I wanted to check the back of the box to confirm it was the current model, I asked him why, "because I've had ten people come in today from the Apple Store thinking we were selling old stock."

    Just remember that David Jones are pretty much Dick Smith. Just had on hold a white 32gb Lg G2 at parramatta david jones for $498 (Includes the $50 off from their instore price). My partner decided he wanted black, so i rang around and got Jb Hi Fi to price match. I have now called up David Jones Parramatta to put the phone back on the shelf. Hopefully someone is following this forum and wants a cheap LG G2!
