Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do.

I see your vinomofo delivery turned up y'day.

Thanks Op, the game selection isn't too bad either.

This is not a new deal, I believe all of these have been around for months.

Nice deal though - the movie tickets are a good price, especially if you pay via Paypal to avoid the $1.10 credit card fee per ticket.

    • +1

There is no booking fee period. I pay by credit card every time and my booking free is $0.

    • +1

Yeah, this has been around for months. Maybe a good reminder for Telstra Customers who are on direct debit, and never look at their bills, though.

  • AFL tickets are a great deal for the Giants and their fan, the greatest team of all (the cats) only get one $15 game against Melbourne.

    • +3

      Giants only have 1 fan?

  • +1

Not a single AFL ticket for Patterson Stadium, WA. Nice one Telstra.

  • +4

As put less pleasantly by GaelicAU above, no games for WA

Comes from having only 1 smaller ground, 2 popular teams in a AFL popular state.

    • +1

Simply stating my disappointment plus saving other WA based Ozbarginers the trip to the site. . Obviously a no-no on OZB by the minus votes. Way to go guys.

      • +2

The problem for WA fans is that you are too enthusiastic about going to the footy in the eyes of the AFL. Because they have good attendance there's nothing to gain by offering cheap tickets. If Freo and West Coast fans were more like Melbourne fans that never turn up (for reason in all fairness) then you would be getting offered cheap tickets too.

        • +2

This is like the Chicken and the egg..
If our teams played like Melbourne then we wouldn't turn up..

      • +2

        Yeah I understand.

But look on the bright side. Least we ain't Melbourne supporters

        • Bright for who? Melbourne has won 12 premierships to West Coasts 3 and Freo's nil.

        • You mean Melbourne nil premierships compared to West Coast's 3 and Freo's nil.

Melbourne, like Freo, has never won an AFL Premiership.

Looks like these discounts are available to all Telstra's customers - Bigpond, Postpaid or Prepaid customers. Considering the size of the discounts available on various products, it might actually worthwhile to buy a $2 Prepaid Starter kit, activate it, and then use it to authenticate your Thanks purchase.

If I understand it correctly, the SIM account remains active for 6 months. You can buy a lot of cheap tickets in that time. Does anyone know if this works? Do you need prepaid credit to get Telstra Thanks benefits?

$2 SIM kit can be bought online here: https://www.telstra.com.au/online-shop/mobile-broadband-prod…

  • Ticketek is asking me for a password on the site. It shows the password in plain text and doesn't ask you for a suer name. Am I supposed to have a ticketek account? Is this my telstra password?

    • +1

the password is on the telstra site. wont post here as then everyone could use it/abuse it.

  • Any AFL game I try for states the tickets are not available for sale yet… what gives.

    • They will only list them when the normal ticket sales have been poor and there is the likelihood of a small crowd.

      • +2

Yep, all the expected low attendance games…

        • +1

Sydney vs. Hawthorn @ ANZ for 15. I wish I'm in Sydney.

      • +1

Yup they are the matches I was trying, specifically Port v Sydney in round 20. The ticketing website says the tickets are not on sale until a month prior to the game but the Telstra page says Buy Now.

Completely useless to anyone in regional areas, unless you happen to be already heading to a metro area. Thanks Telstra!

    • +4

Yes because we all know that Telstra are the faceless men behind NRl & AFL
And they use their market dominance to block cinema chains from opening.

    • +1

at least telstra phone reception is slightly better than useless in regional areas.

  • I keep getting this error when I try to buy tickets :

    Telstra customer verification failure
We were unable to verify that you are a Telstra customer.

    :-(

  • The AFL tickets are Silver category which is excellent. I assumed they would have given you the lowest common denominator in General Admission.

  • Hoping someone can advise, I want to take my son to the Hawks vs GWS AFL game this week, and I notice Child tickets are only $5, if I purchase a Child General Admission ticket and a $15 Thanks AFL General Admission ticket I assume this will allow entry to both of us into the same area?
