      $38.00 for Melbourne 3000

      • +1

$88 to Perth so not worthwhile. Decent price for Melb deliveries, I imagine syd would be similar.

  • most of the car seats out of stock :(

    • I know, I missed out on car/booster seats (6 months-8 years) for $67 each, cheapest I've ever seen them! Put them in my cart, kept browsing for 20 min and then they were out of stock. Kicking myself…

Managed to get 2 of the $99 ones instead though which isn't too bad. The 2 seats in my OP are still available right now.

      • just found my nearest big w has some stock of the seats that I want, but I doubt they will match their online price.

        • Yeh it specifically says 'online only sale. price not available in store' so I wouldn't even bother asking.

        • You may be able to Click and Collect.

        • +1

Actually, we went into our local store, and asked someone if they would match the price on the $67 car seat, and the man just checked with the store manager (due to the big price difference, $112!), and he ok'd it. I was very surprised, as it did say price not available in store. But they said they match online prices as it seemed a bit silly not to.

So it might depend who you get, but could be worth a try! Oh and our Big W had heaps of the seats they said, 6 on the shelf and more out the back.

    Thanks OP…

    3 x Tontine Everynite Medium Washable Family Pillow - 2 Pack $18.00
2 x Peter Morrissey Home 24 Piece Cutlery Set $28.00
1 x As seen on TV Scissors $4.00
    2 x Fiskars Floral Bypass Pruner $4.00

    6 pillows, 2 cutlery sets, 2 scissors, 2 pruners $54 not bad.

    • +5

I don't know if it's just me but when Woolies/BigW have those sales on Tontine pillows, they are by far the worst pillows I have used. So flat and non supportive. Bad sleeping for me. Maybe it's an individual thing.

      • +4

There are heaps of different types of pillows, you need to buy the type you prefer…
Maybe you need a 'big and bouncy' pillow lol.. https://www.bigw.com.au/home-garden/bed/pillows/bpnBIGW_0000… - reduced to $10 ;)

        • Thank you! I didn't realise they came in a large range :)

      • +1

        get latex or memory foam
        or down feather

Also each of these themselves come in different densities and support

If you see a cheap pillow, chances are its shite

        • Horrible things they are (latex), but to each his own.

We bought some Jaspa pillows from BigW. Not sure of the exact type. They are machine washable. You just put a little bleach in to get rid of any stains and you have a new pillow. They're thick but not overly, so they spring back. They're great.

I haven't seen a decent pillow from Tontine in at least 20 years. They go from one extreme (too thin), to thicker ones that still go flat when you put your head on them, to so thick, it's far too thick - giving you neck pain. The Jaspa ones are perfect.

  • Bargain on the heater. Thanks!

  • I bought womens sports bras for $8 and $10 each (so cheap)
various kids toys $3 and $4 a piece
    2 x car/booster seats $99 each

That was all stuff I needed (except kids toys which I'll use as bday presents / baby shower gifts). Now resisting buying more stuff that I don't need…

    This is not bad:
Sabco Premium Ironing Board for $39 (save $59)
Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard - K750r for $51 (save $71). Cheapest on staticise for K750r is $79.

    • Was just about to post that K750r.. nice deal

    • +2

Was about to pounce on the $39 ironing board, but shipping is $38.

I actually wanted two of them, and shipping for two was 2 x $38 ($76) on top of the $78 for the items. Insane. No order from me.

      • +1

The weight in the item description is wrong, the board weighs 10kg not 32kg. I called them in the hope they can alter the description and delivery fee. No luck.

    • It's sold out. I have had this keyboard for a long while now. Love it. Just make sure to feed it with light every once in a while.

Guy Leech Chin Up Bar - $6
Guy Leech Weights Set - $50

    Couple of bargains I saw.

Very tempted to buy 2x InfaSecure Souvreign EHP + Convertible Booster Seat now $99 for our 2nd car, save us the hassle on who needs to pick up the kids after work…

    • Thats exactly what I got them for… will last for years since it turns into a booster. I don't need the 'reclining headrest' function, will be interesting to see what that does though.

  • Thanks OP.
I got a steam mop, 4x 2025 batteries, and an amplified antenna for $40.

  • In terms of electric toothbrushes, what do you guys recommend?

    • +21

Brushing twice a day for two minutes and using mouth wash.

        Gotta floss too mate

    • Oral-B

  • Good savings on the leapfrog toys

    • LeapFrog LeapsterGS Explorer seems like a good price over the LeapFrog Pad 2?

Software for the LeapFrog seems expensive…

      LeapFrog or VTech Innotab 2?

      • Get them a tablet and be done with it. Or a ds.

Not only is the software expensive it is pretty darn pee-poor as we'll.

  • The Infa sovereign convertible boosters are old weight based stock. If you can wait, the Rallye will most likely be on sale at their next baby sale for $118 MUCH better seat.
I wouldn't touch the zuzu seat, it's got very low markers and only midget sized 4 year old would fit in it.

    • +1

What does weight based stock mean?

The Rallye would have been my preference, that is the one that was reduced to $67!!! but sold out while I was browsing. What makes it a MUCH better seat?

  • having problems checking out….. goes back to homepage.

EDIT: checked out with Chrome without (as many) issues. Needed a reload to get to Paypal.

  • Dog Wormers are now out of stock

  • +5

The sovereign will have been sitting in stock for years - height markers have been in since about 2010 (it may have been manufactured until 2012ish but not later). It also has a maximum limit on weight (in harness tested until 22kg - officially 18kg but you may be told you can push it until 20ish). The new height based seats will last much longer in a harnessed mode as weight isn't a factor :) which is much safer :)

Weight based was old standard - height markers new standard.

    • Thanks, that's helpful. I might return the seats I bought if I can find a comparable deal on a newer seat between now and pick up. I also notice that the Sovereign is only 2004 safety standard, newer seats are the 2010 standard…

    • Thanks, I had not paid properly attention and just cancelled my order. The 2004 standard is quite old, and chances are these things will no longer be legal long before I have had it for 8 years. I wasn't aware what the exact difference in the standards was. Appreciate your comment explaining it.

  • Thanks. Got the $99 booster seat

  • kids helmets are also very good.. thanks op =))

  • +3

Some good deals. Only thing I'm interested in though costs $12 so they won't offer free click and collect, and the $9 shipping fee kills it :(

  • Got a printer and click collecting at my local store.

    Thanks OP

  • Got some toys for my kids at home. Thanks OP

    • I got a Big W page not found after authorising with Paypal. Looks like it went through fine though

      • Lets see how it goes. I checked paypal account and it displays invoice number though.

        • exactly the same for me but with cc payment - and it went through

but no email/nothing from big w

        • Ok, got the invoice with all items that i purchased. Now waiting for email to pick up click and collect…

Got a few school uniform items including Stubbies cargo shorts for $7 each and also a dartboard which seems like a bargain at $27.
And with all the savings made on these items , got a few more toys and socks.

    • Turns out I got a refund for the dartboard as not enough stock :/

  • Hi Everyone, just wondering if by some small minute chance that anyone got a screen shot of the jumping castle (Happy Hop) that was on sale for $119 save $179. I have a chance to possibly get one in my local store if I can prove it was that price. Anyone by chance??

  • Sweet… the "edr25off" everyday rewards code is back working, saved 25% on all the products. I think they were all clearance items though, reduction comes up as "Clearance Discount 25% Off" in checkout.

  • Click and Collect doesn't work well for BigW.

I got the text saying you got 8 days to collect your shit so I went in to get it but they only had half my shit. They said I will get a call when the rest of my crap comes in. 2 weeks later, nothing… so today I call and the lady said I should be thankful for getting what I got already and that waiting 2 months wouldn't be unusual.

Needless to say I have asked for a refund.
